My wedding party and I had our hair and makeup done here back in August. I have nothing but great things too say! The whole team is fantastic; from the receptionists to the hair and makeup artists. I had to call and change appointment times for the five of us a couple of times and everyone was patient and accommodating. There were several people who worked with us but for me, Francine did such a stunning job with my makeup and it was EXACTLY what i wanted. She is so good at what she does and is very personable. I can same the same for Emily, who did my hair, as well. I would recommend this salon/spa to anyone

I had another wonderful experience this morning at Annie Young Boutique Spa. Everyone is so nice there. I always walk away feeling good. Kim has been doing my hair for over 10 years now and she is a gem, so kind, competent and accommodating. And this morning I had the best shampoo experience with Carilyn that I have ever had in my life. I nearly fell asleep while she was massaging my neck. Felt great. All around, five stars!

I was disappointed overall with my experience with my private makeup class. Strong point: the makeup artist was very personable. Weaker points: I wasn’t taught anything I didn’t already know from free online content, which is a bummer considering the cost of the class. I was hoping to wear the makeup out later on but it made me look much older and outdated so first thing I did when I went back home was to wash it off and re-do it myself. If you’re a complete beginner this can be a decent option, but if you’re looking for a class to update you on current trends you should look elsewhere.

I attended the Annie Young makeup school Sept-Dec. I had a blast and learned SO much! The teachers are fantastic and very knowledgeable. The class is very hands on – you are doing the makeup on your model while getting tips and direction on technique. There was a perfect balance between getting help/guidance but also getting space to figure it out for yourself. There was a lot of 1-on-1 attention, which really made it worth it for me. The location is also beautiful. It’s a very high class vibe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. You have access to makeup and skincare brands that you typically would need to spend thousands for. The kit that comes with the course is also fantastic. I would totally recommend this class to anyone who’s interested in makeup artistry.

I had heard negative comments about Avanti before they took over Annie Young Spa and it’s looking like they may have been right. I called Avanti to let them know they overcharged me for the service I received as per the prices shown on their website. Person who answered the phone said they know the website needs updating, that several people have complained and that they have asked the people in charge to update the website several times but they haven’t yet. I told her they need to take this more seriously and cannot charge more than what they have advertised which she acknowledged but did not offer to reimburse me. The owners don’t seem to care much about customer service . Shame on the owners for putting their employees in this defensive position.

I recently made an appointment with Francine for my makeup. I was in town, from Detroit, to celebrate my anniversary. I use a regular makeup artist back home on a regular basis & I am very particular about how my makeup is done. Well, Francine was absolutely amazing!! My Smokey eyes were perfection. On top of doing beautiful work, Francine had me laughing the entire time. I had so much fun during the appointment that I hugged her before leaving:). Please, do not hesitate & book yourself an appointment here! The entire staff was beyond polite & engaging.

I had my bridal hair and make up done here. Kim did a fantastic job with my hair, from cutting to styling. The make up artist Stephanie was very attentive to my requests and ideas and the final result was amazing! The staff was mostly very welcoming and committed to providing great service. My only suggestion is please ask the receptionists to be less aggressive about the tips. When I went to pay, I wanted to put the tips in little brown envelops addressed to Kim and Stephanie with little personalized notes (which is what I've done in the past) but have been told that it was not an option and the receptionist had to have the tips go through her? I thought that wasn't very nice. I still give the salon a 5/5 rating though and would recommend it to others.

I received a lash lift + tint here about two weeks ago. The entire thing takes 45 minutes and comes to about $100 plus tip. I have naturally long dark lashes, so the tint didn't make a huge difference beyond two days. The lift itself seems to be holding up alright, however as the lashes start to return to their natural placement (a couple at a time), I find myself curling my lashes sooner than expected. The treatment itself was really relaxing and the spa itself is very nice. I would still recommend this place, just for the atmosphere and service alone. Not sure if I'll get this specific treatment again, depends on how long the rest of my lashes hold up over the next few weeks.

I have used Avanti Le Spa Westmount services for many years, particularly when it was under the former management. The same spirit of warm, nuanced, concern with the customer's well being and beauty has continued under the new owners.

Wonderful service both with our electrolyses technician and the women at the front desk. My hair growth had not improved over the last 8 years of doing this treatment. However, ever since starting treatment with Avanti a couple years ago, I have seen a drastic difference! I am so grateful for Mirela’s expertise! I would definitely recommend her to anybody who needed electrolyse treatment. Both her and the women at the front desk were also very helpful and patient in recommending the skincare products that would suit our needs.

I love Avanti Le Spa Westmount. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I have been going there for the past year for my nails and esthetics and have not gone any where else since. Bahar for your nails is excellent. I highly recommend.
