Was a little disappointed there weren't any real walking paths. Looks like a great place to take the kids. Has multiple slides and a swing set. Covered picnic area. Multiple benches scattered around the park. Lots of trees. Bike rack.

Nice park. My kid enjoyed it. A lot of trash on the ground. Would be much nicer if people would pick up their trash. Trash was pretty much the first thing I saw as soon as I stepped out my vehicle. Please take your trash with you when you leave, or put it in a trash receptacle. Thanks.

Dean grew his beard after Pearl Harbor, swearing he would not shave until victory. He was a submariner & boxed within the Navy fleet. The beard grew nearly 4 years and he became known as, "Cactus Pete". At the age of 16 he was a Golden Glove champion & the local community made him a Choctaw inspired satin robe which he wore in Madison Square Garden. After his second State Championship he boxed in Boston and had a scholarship to OSU but joined the Navy. When he returned he saw young boys had nothing to do in Shawnee so he started a boxing club and later a boy scout troop and a coed Explorer troop that emphasized sailing.

This park has a variety of play structures..some of which are pretty new and some are old. My kids loved exploring all of them. The lawn hadn't been mowed in quite a while and there was no one else there so it's hard to judge the usual atmosphere of the park based on our one visit. The slides on the new structure were huge and fast so I wouldn't recommend those for toddlers.

It's a decent park! Bathrooms need a lot of work, other than that the park is pretty fun for kids.

We love this park, it's so shady, so the slides aren't on fire in the sun! And the big slide even scares me!! Lol
