Made sure to stop by here on our trip, our littlest love trains! She was so excited and loved watching the trains go around delivering the food. Fun experience but the food honestly wasn't anything to right home about unfortunately... But we left full and enjoyed watching the excitement on the kids faces.

The concept of a train delivering your food to your table is incredibly cute! Friendly staff and good food. Decently priced as well!

Kids will love this place. They serve typical fast food, burgers, etc. But, the food is delivered to each table by a cute railroad locomotive that runs on a track above the tables. It is very unique and lots of fun for the kids. Warning, this place is popular, so expect at least a short wait for a table.

Excellent service! Fast and fresh food! The eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash browns were great! The biscuits and gravy did not disappoint!

Fritz's is a very affordable (cheap even!), family friendly restaurant geared towards younger kids but one that everyone will love. Fritz's was the highlight of our Kansas City trip - a trip we all thought far exceeded expectations. What's so cool and so you unique and so fun to watch is how your meal is delivered via a model train! You're seated as usual but then instructed to phone in your order from the phone on the table. You then wait for delivery - via model train! Our whole family was wowed with each and every delivery! Your order is delivered in a basket that trails a model train engine on tracks that run above you along the walls. When it reaches your table a latch flips up, leaving the basket on a hydraulic lift that lowers your food down to you. It's so cool to watch! Beverages and dessert aren't delivered via train for obvious reasons but your main meal is. We visited Fritz's three times during our four days in Kansas City and missed it before we even left! Fritz's stole the show and is a must visit restaurant for anyone whether you're a kid or an adult (even if you don't have kids)!

The food is good but not great, it's a diner. It's a great place to bring your kids, my kiddo loves watching the train bring everyone their food. The servers are young but they do a good job. For what it is, this is a great place that my daughter loves. We'll be coming back for years to come.

My kids 2 years and 9 months LOVED this place!!!! They have trains going around the room all over above you and then you order by picking up the phone and placing your order. Then your food comes by train and drops down from the ceiling!!!! We could actually have adult conversations my husband and I because the kids were AMAZED by these trains!!!! Many families with older kids came in and they were just as excited. The trains are not super loud so you can still talk which was very nice.

We had a good lunch. The gimmick of course are the trains and the delivery system which is a rail system with an elevator at each table. Great fun spot for kids to be entertained. Everyone can get a conductor hat, too. We had burger, BLT, and pork tenderloins.

People don't really go to Fritz's for the food as much as the atmosphere. Kids love watching the trains delivering food, and the staff are the nicest you will meet anywhere. We had a great experience, and I am sure we will go again.

The atmosphere is why we went. Kids will love the place. They had a tough time eating because they were watching all the deliveries to the tables. The food needs help, even for fast food it was mentioned that it was worse than McDonald's. The staff weren't very friendly. It was great to try once and see what it's all about. The engineer hats are a great touch.

We arrived around 2:00, and the place was completely packed. There are trains that bring your food to your table, and another train that runs on a separate track around the center of the restaurant. It's very neat, but also quite loud at times. They have a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, and some other sandwiches, as well as fries, tater ties, onion rings and fried mushrooms. They also have a children's menu. I had the turkey melt sandwich and it was good, my date and I shared an order of fried mushrooms, and they were okay. I think maybe a dipping sauce of some kind would have helped. He said his burger was good. My only real complaint is that to order your food and drinks, you have to use the phone that's at your table. For people with anxiety disorders, that's not always something they can do. So just be aware that if you choose to dine-in, you will have to use a phone.

My sister and I have find memories of Fritz's going back many years. We decided to go to Fritz's again while she was in town to revisit those memories together. You can still call in your order from the table. The trains are still running and dropping off orders. Our food (original cheeseburgers, four tiny onion rings, and crinkle fries - was fine - nothing exceptional. We ordered cherry limeades too - again they were fine, nothing exceptional. Service was very attentive. We paid our bill at the register. Glad we visited.

Found this place while trying to make a weekend getaway to KC with the kiddo....during draft weekend. Oops. Awesome find though, really made our trip! You definitely come here for the atmosphere - a junction themed diner that you phone in your order from the table, directly to the cook and comes delivered by overhead train! Kids get paper conductor hats and have the option of playing a couple coin operated games while waiting for food. My son was so entertained by the food train, he didn't want to play, just watch the trolley. Service was decent, nothing to rave or complain about, quick for as busy as they were. Food is what you pay for - rather inexpensive, smaller portions, acceptable (though not exceptional) quality. A great choice if you need a quick bite and a break from sightseeing!

Wow. Being a KC visitor with twin 4-year-olds this was THE place to be. The atmosphere is unmatched and the kiddos request a train restaurant in every city we visit now. The food is delicious diner food, including the crisper smash patty (which isn't my favorite but the flavor was great so I didn't mind so much.) The service is minimal but that's how the restaurant is formatted. Anytime we needed anything extra it was easy to grab some attention and everyone was pleasant. As a family of four we spent about $75 on lunch and we did splurge for malts. So you can get away with less. Highly recommend

We have been coming here for a long time & it’s always a favorite for our family! The trains are so fun to watch & the kids get so excited for their food to be delivered by the train. The food is food is pretty good & we love the atmosphere & the staff is always friendly & helpful. The cute little train hats are an added bonus. We love Fritz’s!

Great for kids ! Fun atmosphere. The train literally drops the food at your table. You order with a telephone at the table as well. Way cool. Kids had a blast. The food could be better but the kids seemed to enjoy it anyway.

My four year old grandson & his momma took me here yesterday. What an AWESOME experience!!! I was in awe of the cool way we ordered our food on the phone at our table & the super cool way it was delivered to us by a train that travels above everyone around the restaurant. A light will come on above your table when your food is ready then the train comes whistling to your table, drops your food off above you & it's lowered down to your table!!! HOW FUN IS THAT??? It was my first time there as well as my son, daughter in law & grandon's who joined us there. The also have arcade type machines. Every little kid needs to visit this place!!! The food was good & you can't beat the service. Very friendly staff & reasonable prices. ❤

Fritz's is always a stop when the grandkids come to town! The kids love the the train bringing them their food, the food is great, and of course they enjoy the engineer hats.

The food is decent and not overpriced. Our son is such a big fan of trains, that when we are near Kansas City, we make a point to go. He loves watching the trains drive around and drop off food.
