My most frequented park yet. I like the various ways to access this park. Different entrances will lead to different experiences. I arrive feeling Good. I leave feeling Great! Wonderful time, every time.

Very well maintained park, there is access to the creek along the trail where you can catch some giant catfish and decent bedding bass.

My first experience here was great, had lunch there then walked the trials along river. It was a good day and always a good time I visit.

This park is off Holiday drive and we went towards the Kansas river on a nice paved path. There were additional paths in the woods you can take too. Great walk especially with pets!

Nice park on the Mill Creek Trail. There is a porta potty but no bathroom with water. Really wish there was a full bathroom. Playground is great.

I love this trail! I ran the virtual Boston marathon on it and it is well taken care of and beautiful.

Went here for the trail. I hiked over 10 miles myself. There are playgrounds and other parks connected to this trail. Then there is also off trail hiking available. It was thick and I'd recommend you bring bug spray, if you do. I had over 250 tick bites afterwards. I still enjoyed it.

We love hiking and riding on the Gary Haller trail/ Mill Creek parks. So much beauty in the surrounding nature!

Wonderful place to take a bike ride or hike if that's your preference. Tons of shade. Wonderful streams and landscape. You may even have a deer cross your path like I did. The pavement is extremely smooth and there are plently of places to stop and take a break. Well done.

I was pretty excited to go here because so many interesting birds have been spotted in this area. But man... It was crazy busy. There's nothing wrong with the park per se, I suppose I just had high expectations. So take my review with a grain of salt. I didn't see anything exciting. My daughter did, but my bird viewing fancies are a bit more mature than hers. She saw her first Indigo Bunting, Red Eyed Vireo, and Cowbird (LOL.) We did see a Bald Eagle flying at ground level, but but at the park. That was pretty crazy. I'm going to go back eventually. I just give it a three because it's kind of neutral. Overall, it was clean, small, and busy. Only one of those is great for bird viewing. Ok... I am definitely biased. It's probably like a 4 for most people. Don't let my review deter you. It has some lovely walking trails. But there are tons of bicyclists, most people were on a bike. That also made walking less enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was respectful. It was just a lot of people, strangely so. It was memorial day, perhaps that had something to do with it. I don't get how there could be that many people in that tiny park though. Perhaps there is another entrance and parking lot elsewhere that I am unaware of? I don't know. Overall it is fine.

It was a nicely paved path for the most part but then we took the unbeaten path down through the brush bc my daughter and I can't help ourselves to explore. It is a short loop unless you walk along the river for how ever long since it is so low atm...but the main path is good for the bike rider.

Bring your own potty bags at the trail head at Nelson Island.

Well kept, pretty park and playground (best for ages 5-8yo). The playground sits just off the trail and has a little stair walk-down to the waters edge. Swings for kids and toddlers as well as a covered shelter/picnic area.

This is a great little park with walking paths along the river/creek and a playground built for children of ages 5-12 years. My child greatly enjoys our visits to this playground and we often spot ducks in the river here. This location is fairly remote and borders a railroad track so it may not be suitable for after dark activities/event. While there is a garbage dump on the other side of the tracks, I have never picked up a bad smell from it though we could have just been lucky. I would rate the activity level of this location as moderate; We often see a few people walking the paths and most times there has been at least one other family using the playground. The parking lot is always at least half full whenever we visit.
