Probably the most tasteless chicken burger I have ever eaten. The awful cold flabby bacon certainly didn't give it any much needed pep! The chicken it's self was boiling and greasy with a disturbingly little flavour. All served on a slightly stale bap. Nice chips though!

Came today with family went in 2 other spoons in the city they was so busy no where to sit ended up here got a table didn't seem as busy as the others got served quickly felt like an older vibe to the place. Food wasn't great my chicken tasted dry/reheated feel like spoons is losing it's value on food still some good drink prices.

Myself and 4 others came here on a Monday afternoon not to busy but the food was the worse werherspoons I have ever been to the garlic bread was like it had been dipped in oil before coming out. The curry was like water. The chips tasted like old oil the chicken was cold and the nan bread was hard on the bottom with a pool of oil on top

Good service and the usual value for money breakfast. I had the vegetarian breakfast and unlimited hot drinks, coffee on this visit for £4.58. There is a small beer garden/patio which isn't the most pleasant landscaping, but this is probably due to the location which is bang in the middle of the city centre. Television and interesting photos on the walls

I've been there on Friday with my friend's and We are not really satisfied. When we first arrived no one told as anything about dog. After 15 min waiter come to us when we was in middle of making food order and he said we not allowed be there with dog, but problem is all situation was on beer garden, where Dog are allowed with law. If U want have a problem with dogs, maybe first do something with your cleanliness. If I'll be able I'll give 0 Stars. Never come again...

This place has dodgy reputation so I've been told. I finally went in,and not all at bad. Yes there are a few local characters in the place, but I didn't feel unsafe and no trouble. Overall quite an enjoyable experience, cheap beer & food in center of Sheffield.

It's a Spoons, they are like Marmite. I love em. We were rushed for time, it was a Saturday afternoon in Sheffield city centre, I ordered on the app, food arrived within 10 minutes. We ended with plenty of time. If we'd have gone elsewhere we'd undoubtedly have been late.

It's my favorite place in the whole town. the owner is super nice. always has a smile. The coffee is very rich and the sweets more. I love it even to go with my children since there are board games and also books. I love this place without a doubt. I go whenever I can

It is your standard weatherspoons, a great venue, insightful history. Basic but flavoursome food and some good drinks from local and known brands. If you need a basic night out on the town or want to add it to a pub crawl, this might just be the next venue on the list.

Typical wetherspoons frequented by drinks, alcoholics and local spice heads, upstairs bar is slightly better if you don’t mind the mice… staff for the most part are polite and helpful, the cask ales is one of the better offerings compared to the other Wetherspoons in the city.

Lovely pub. We had a great breakfast

  • 5/5 Dafydd R. 11 months ago on Google
Always a great meal and pint offer 👍😊 Although it's a typical Spoons it does have a really good room upstairs which isn't so loud as below. The place was generally clean 🫧

A typical Weatherspoons pub - great food, very affordable, quick service, friendly staff. We went for Breakfast and we were not dissapointed. Great location too

An old banking hall Wetherspoons conversion, in a really good location. Staff were helpful. Enjoyed the place, though some dishes were not available.

Great service, excellent facilities, character, comfortable seating and most importantly, large selection of beers at the lowest prices in the city centre. Never tried the food, but would expect good, simple nosh at a reasonable price.

Nice enough pub , just let down by the youngsters who are running it. Trying to treat mature men in their 60s like naughty school kids. Very rude , to be fair it was only two , a female and a male.Should learn how to speak to customers.

  • 4/5 Pete D. 1 year ago on Google
Bit of a rough and ready pub, but the beer is good. Find a quiet seat to the rear or upstairs to avoid the noise. Otherwise a typical Spoons

Update 28.7.23. Another visit just as good, and different ale offerings on each floor. Added some new pics too. Never had a bad real ale in this Wetherspoons. Bar staff amenable to using Camra vouchers against two halves always a plus. Decor wise it's a 2 floored large old bank and always is smart and tidy in appearance when I've been in there. Friendly staff on day of visit too. Quick edit - they had 6 or 7 interesting guest beers available on day of visit.

Went to Sheffield for a weekend away & came across this Witherspoon pub its a massive building & has an upstairs to sit & eat as well as the massive downstairs & bar, the place must be very popular & can see why all the staff where so helpful & went to check what the waiting time was on food with been so busy but 15mins is nothing so the waitress said about going upstairs with having the little Granddaughter. I was amazed again how big upstairs was & got a lovely table straight away & ordered all our drinks & food cannot believe how good the meals are & terrific value for money. I will certainly be eating & drinking in a Witherspoons again but can highly recommend this one in Sheffield City Centre

I have tea here once a week when I'm working in the city centre. Upstairs at the back is the best place to eat. Not the best Spoons in Sheff but most convenient for me. Food is usually good. Service does vary, it depends heavily on how busy it is. High turnover of staff so some don't seem interested sometimes but this is the exception.

Cheap beer, service is quick and the staff are polite, good natured and really helpful. It's not for the faint hearted in there, bang in the middle if the city centre so attracts a lot of characters. Super convenient location open early till late. The food is great for the price. Lots of space, comfy areas, smoking area, phone charging, crayons for kids, disabled access is decent (disabled toilet could do with checking more often but regular toilets are fine. Large NPC( ?) type car park behind the pub, brilliant bus and tram links.

  • 4/5 Craig T. 1 year ago on Google
Usually meet up with friends here as it's right next to the tram stop. This spoons has a certain clientele that makes it a 4 star for me. Excellent value drinks and good pub staff.

Not great. Beer was cloudy and on the turn. The food at wetherspoons has gone right downhill. Had steak that was quite thin and fatty with a hole in. It felt old. Jacket potato looked old as well. Service okay, but not the best. They also didn't have the sauce I wanted and only one other option. I won't be back unfortunately.

Very good. Reasonably priced drinks. Good stopping off place in city centre. Handy for everything.

Best Wetherspoons in the UK.....That's if you like the spice head zombies outside asleep on the doorway steps. Pub inside is great. Started many of pub crawls here. Also as of late made £1,000,000+ deals at our lunch time business meetings. Highly recommended. Also just ask one of the regulars eg Steve Evens for the toilet key for your own private disabled en-suit .

I had breakfast this morning with two friends. The staff were friendly snd helpful, but the food left a LOT to be desired . It was almost cold ! We told the staff who said that they’d bring replacements. When these arrived, the only items on the plate that had improved were the hash browns !!! The rest of it was as cold as before .. There was nothing wrong with the quality of the food….. it was just NOT hot enough . Not wanting to take it back again we ate some if it and left the rest.. NEVER AGAIN at The Banker’s Draft, Sheffield….

Lauren Rose staff team member helped us tonight when the Benjamin huntsman gave us shocking service ! We had made a mistake and ordered from wrong bar on arriving to try resolve the issue she wasn't able to sort our food as it was after time so that's fair enough ! Lauren rosee was helpful and sorted out drinks with no issue really good customer service! Thank you good to see some of wetherspoons businesses have customer service skills ! Worked in hospitality for 20 years and its an easy skill if you can apply compasion and common sense! Thank you for salvaging our night

Reasonable if not slightly tired witherspoon public house, needs music or entertainment at least.

  • 5/5 Tony C. 2 years ago on Google
It's a whetherspoons, good grub and cheap drinks, centre of Sheffield so clientel can be a tad unkempt. But cleaner than the horrible city itself!!. Taxis park on pavements and yellows, pedestrians have to walk round. Filthy city.

  • 3/5 Sakina M. 2 years ago on Google
The staff are very nice but I think they need to be a bit more cleaner. A d the meals a bit more appealing. But I suppose for what you pay its fine, myself I would rather pay a little more and get my meal a little more presentable.

It was handy as it was next to the tram stop, so I did 3 days on the trot there

I wanted sth like a carvery or roast on a weekday. Mum found this place and their festive lunch.. it was the perfect birthday lunch. Just wonderful. Only recently came back to live in England and this just reminded me of my Gran’s cooking. Really busy. Excellent staff. Totally recommend it and prices…. That’s just the cherry on the cake, superb!

Great place for a cheap pint in the city centre. Staff are friendly and service is quick. It's usually a little more peaceful upstairs and there's plenty of tables. Lovely pizzas as well that don't break the bank!

  • 5/5 Thomas D. 1 year ago on Google
Great spot for a drink. Great staff. Typical weatherspoons bar. Nice selection of cocktails and ales on tap. Nice atmosphere. They had a stout on tap a bit back called nutty ambassador which was amazing, hope to have a pint of that again.

Lovely food and nice friendly staff. I came in with a service user on Sunday and we got a nice quiet table at the back and the young lad who gave us our food was so polite and friendly and happy to help. 10/10

Got assaulted outside, bouncer was pretty much busy on his phone, manager had a go at ME about it. Strange experience. Only ever go in because its next to the tram stop. I honestly wouldn't bother - there are better and more hospitable pubs within five minutes walk of this place.

The Alcy's preferred place 😂 Mostly the city centres wino's and spice head types. Really need to clean their outside image up.

Me and my friend had a lovely experience at this pub, which has a glorious interior! The staircases and frames on the walls add to the setting, where we were served quickly and enjoyed quality drinks at our seats while cleanliness had been maintained.

  • 4/5 David B. 1 year ago on Google
Very good selection of real ales which change each week, from independent local brewers in Sheffield and nationwide small producers. All beers are very well kept and at good prices. Good atmosphere - typical city centre pub, with pleasant friendly staff.

Gotta love a wetherspoons. Nice cheap and cheerful food and drinks. Was a big place. Plenty of staff on. 3 min ish wait for drinks and about a 10 min wait for food. Drinks was nice and cold tasted good. Was a nice pint. Food was hot. Staff was very friendly. Would go back here again. There is 2 floors. Plus the garden out the back of the pub. The toilets are downstairs instead of upstairs. 🤣🤣

We were visiting Sheffield overnight because my granddaughter was competing in a gymnastic competition The Bankers Draft was very close to our hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered food and when it arrived the presentation was awful, it looked as though it had been thrown on the plate. It wasn't very hot and the plates were cold. The toilets are downstairs, so there is no ventilation, as soon as you opened the door to the ladies toilets there was a very unpleasant odour. To be honest it will be a long time before I'll be visiting a Wetherspoons again.
