Its a lovely space, right in the middle or the city centre, but open and calm and peaceful. It has a fountain and on hot days lots of people come fir lunch or to chill out in the sunshine. Its a venue for events and decorations for the city

Good range of free events, lovely space in the centre of town. Fountains are great fun to play in during good weather. Would be better if it had public toilets tho

Despite the rain and freezing weather we had a fantastic time in the Alpine bar and the Currywurst sausages and Yorkshire Pudding wraps were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend a visit!!!

People here in Sheffield, love this place. Irrespective of the age group, everyone gather round here. Kids engage themselves in roaming around like free birds, enjoy the fountains. People bask in the sun for hour long. Passer-by stop for a while to catch a glimpse of liveliness and release stress. One of the best spots in Sheffield. No wonder, why it's called Peace Gardens.

Christmas display was interesting to look at the main problem was the closest parking is 2 street away and quite a walk. You can hear church bells from here also.

Lovely place to sit and relax throughout the year. I love architecture of the gothic town hall in the back drop. Gorgeous! Recently it hosted ‘Sheffield by the Sea’ which had whole host of rides, games, a giant sandpit and a lot more. The food stalls were not that great at this event. Had to go to M & S for picnic items.

I’ve been here 4 years ago and I had the chance to visit again. It’s come along way from back when I was here last time, it’s busier and the public seem to enjoy sitting around. It’s a good resting stop if you’re tired of walking around town with coffee shops and restaurants a few steps away.

Beautiful green space in the city centre to sit and relax. Lots of lovely, well tended plants. Especially nice in spring when the cherry blossom and magnolias are in bloom. Nice bars and coffee shops around.

Wonderful place for relaxing in the sun with many events being held through the year. Children enjoy the water fountains that run most days. The sound of the running water features add to the peace of the area. Toilets are via the Winter Gardens about 5min walk via escalators or lift.

I was wandering around the Peace Gardens and surprisingly found an ice cream truck surrounded by kids and parents. They sell all kind of flavours and I picked strawberries. Not gonna lies, at first I was skeptical of its taste judging the book by its cover, but it was gooooooood. I’ve never tasted such softness of an ice cream and I was definitely amazed by the right amount of sweetness. I am not fond of the kind of sweet that would rot my teeth. And this ice cream clearly worth a second try🤩

The Christmas market is really nice - it’s a bit small compared to other city’s like Nottingham however the drinks are cheap and that kept me cheerful

We had a picnic on the grass and it was very enjoyable. Then later went to the café where there was plenty of seating outside. Lots of space, lovely

Lovely place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, located in the middle of the city and surrounded by restaurants and shops it is a great place to visit. During the festive season the decorations are amazing and there are many small stalls and places to get food and many other treats.

There is plenty of seating available, so it's a great spot to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the city. I particularly love visiting this pay on sunny day, it's just a nice break during the day. Plus that guy who plays love music makes things even more enjoyable.

Had a couple of hours to spare, so had a lie down in the sun in the gardens. There was an organised activity on for the kids, and when this finished the water fountains were turned on. The kids enjoyed this especially as the weather was in the mid 20's.

The Gardens themselves front onto Sheffield's gothic town hall, The Gardens were first laid out in 1938, following the demolition of St Paul's Church. Originally named St Paul's Gardens, they were immediately nicknamed the "Peace Gardens", marking the contemporary signing of the Munich Agreement.

A good place to spend time on the weekends. Everything there is clean and well preserved. Now, during Christmas time the decoration is really beautiful and lights make an interesting atmosphere

Very busy today, with lots of graduation students and their families in the gardens. Large sections are cordoned off as the Christmas lights and decorations are being put in place. The large wooden cabin in the centre I believe will sell alcoholic drinks and snacks. There are two large metal constructions, one is a Christmas present and the other a bauble which I think will light up. Usually a nice place to sit and have a coffee a little bit too busy and disorganised today.

The Peace Gardens is a beautiful area in the heart of Sheffield City Centre. Surrounded by numerous shops, eateries and often filled with attractions, the Peace Gardens are well worth visiting. Quite often, the Gardens provide some entertainment, the most recent of which is Sheffield by the Sea. A selection of stalls and other things you might find at the seaside. A sandpit and splashpark for the kids and places for the adults to enjoy some well priced snacks. Central to the city, this place is an ideal meeting ground for people coming to enjoy the summer sun.
