Shelburne Dog Park

Dog park

😠 If I could give this zero stars I would. Totally over grown. No separation of big dogs and little dogs. There was rolled up fencing wire that the dogs could get hurt on. Some of the fencing was pulled so far from the ground lite dogs could probably get our. But it was soooooo grown you could not eve... People often mention dogs, park,

Don’t waste your time going to this park.

Great park... but it needs upkeep as is is so neglected. Too many ways for dogs to get out including the front gates. Kinda sad actually because it is such an amazing concept of a dog park. That being said... probably one of the bestvwe have been to.

This is a great dog park that is generally underutilized, each time I’ve gone there have only been a few people and dogs. It’s set up like a mini trail with a lot of vegetation and would definitely get very muddy after any rain. It has water and is quite cool and shady on hot days.

Tons of mosquitos. Muddy, but they do have a hose to spray your dog off. Decent area though a bit narrow.

Love this dog park! We call it the “dog woods” because it isn’t just a grassy patch like many others, but instead a wooded area with a walking trail to follow your dog and supervise as they sniff, run, explore, and play with other dogs. Not very populated and we’ve only run into one to two other dogs each time we’ve gone. The vegetation is definitely a little overgrown, hence the 4 stars, but for a place run by volunteers I’d say it exceeds expectations! Casey and I love the dog woods 🐶

Great big location by Shelburne farms. Hard to find. Parked in a location I wasn’t sure was ok. Beautiful landscape that isn’t heavily touched. My dog was nervous of the sheep near by lol

My puppy and had a very bad experience here. We weren't in the park for two minutes when a much larger dog attacked my puppy. The owners did next to nothing to control their dog only calling its name and tell (not yelling) at it to stop. I don't hold the park responsible but I do want dog owners to know that not all dogs at this park are friendly and their owners apparently don't care. What I will say about the park is the should consider remodeling or redesigning so that there are areas for large dogs and areas for smaller dogs.

I like how close by it is, its beautiful before it gets so overgrown. There is a parking lot just before it on the right coming from Shelburne rd. That's easy to miss. However the weeds and grass are getting wayyy out of control. It's up to my waist everywhere. Why isn't someone coming to care for it I don't know.
