😠 Been here for 6 hours to have my knee looked at. X-rays and triage was quick. When i finally stood up and complained and asked what was going on I was moved down a hallway over from emergency to be told to sit here. Nobody asking how I was or if I was okay ? I’m told there is no space right now and... People often mention doctor, hospital, time, hours, comfortable, told, nurses, nurse,

Been here for 6 hours to have my knee looked at. X-rays and triage was quick. When i finally stood up and complained and asked what was going on I was moved down a hallway over from emergency to be told to sit here. Nobody asking how I was or if I was okay ? I’m told there is no space right now and all rooms are full. Wasn’t this hospital just upgraded??? Doesn’t help the nurses just stand at their counter and chat. Cause I can hear all there conversations. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU CAN !!!!!!

I had to bring my daughter here tonight. She really hurt her knee playing soccer. The nurses were wonderful with her and I. We were booked in fast and down for x-rays in under 20 mins . After x-rays, we probably waited about 2 hours to get to the back. They had no rooms available, but they put us in the hall with a stretcher where my daughter could lay down. They were trying to make her comfortable with limited space. She felt more comfortable in the wheelchair. Every nurse who walked by asked her if she would be more comfortable in the bed and that they would help her in, very kind nurses. In total we spent about 4.5 hours here . Yes, it was pretty deserted, but for x-rays and triage and to see the doctor, i think that's the shortest time ever at a hospital and very reasonable. The female doctor was just wonderful and caring to my daughter. She sent a referral for an MRI and listened to my daughter and explained to us what she thought was going on. I have to say we had a wonderful experience here. I expect long wait times at hospitals as it's for emergencies. I was shocked it was that short. Thank you, ladies, for taking care of my daughter with care.

Next to mount forest, this is the worst emerge I have ever been to. I needed antibiotic and pain medication through IV, so I had to return 2 times. The 2nd time, I was told because I am not seeing the doctor I will be in and out with no wait time. That was a lie. There was 2 people ahead of me for triage, and it took them 50 minutes to triage me. Then another 20 minutes just to get the meds. Came back the 2nd time tonight, was told I'll be in and out quick as well as I'll see the doctor for a quick evaluation, and that I'll be squeezed in to be seen, 5 hours later and still not seen. I left. What a waste of a health care system. I'd rather pay for my health care then wait in emerge for a minimum of 5 hours.

Came in at 11pm. It’s currently 6:08 am and we have yet to see a doctor. There has been no blood drawn, the info taken during triage was not taken down incorrectly or not taken down at all. We are the only ones still waiting to see a doctor and have been for the last three hours. Not to mention the snails pace everyone moves at. What a joke of a hospital. Save yourself the drive, go to one of the larger ones in the region.

I have been trying to reach to finance department since last two and half months. Even after of hundreds of voice messages they didn’t call me back yet. However there is no one to pick call on finance department. When I tried to ask about it to reception desk, they just told me that they are going very busy and ask me to come at the hospital to pay bills. I Felt it like a business rather than hospital.

I have been at the hospital twice now for diagnostic imaging and I have to tell you that the people that work in that particular field are so sweet. I am an overweight woman and they helped this old girl get up on the bed lift my legs up, and we’re very kind to me the whole time. everyone that I have encountered were nice and professional and I must say I enjoyed being there. You have a very nice hospital

No one in the waiting room when we got there, we were treated like we should have gone litterally anywhere else. This is the second time I've gone there for an emergency that was causing debilitating pain and been asked why I didn't go elsewhere. Doctor said I don't need an x-ray because it wouldn't show anything, but then proceeded to tell me to go to an actual x ray place in guelph rather than emerge to get an xray. Keeping in mind, I have a requesition for an xray from my family doctor (who has seen my ultrasound). When I expressed this to the doctor on staff, he just said he didnt have access to my ultrasound results and had decided in his 5 minute evaluation of the outside of my arm, that I did not need an x-ray. Needless to say, i went home in just as much pain as I went in with, and I still don't know what's causing it. Save your time and energy and do what they suggested... go somewhere else.

Hi, February 24 12am arrived. And now it’s 4:30 and still waiting to see doctor. And it’s not that there are too many people I was the last patient at 12 am and there are no other new patients for the last 4.5 hours. The halls are empty there is not a lot of patients in er. But we are still waiting and don’t even know when the doctor will see my 2 year old son. The wait is like a full 8hrs shift. Before the doctor even see you.

The Hospital is well thought out with an information desk available upon entering the main entrance. The hospital is also completely wheel chair accessible with handicapped parking infront of the entrance and free parking all around the Hospital.

I do not remember the name of the female Dr I saw in Emerge last Wednesday...she was amazing. She took the time to make sure I understood what was going on. She made me feel heard and validated for the first time in a year. Thank you 😊

My first visit to Groves Memorial Hospital was fantastic. I was booked in for a colonoscopy yesterday and as soon as I walked through the doors I was greeted by a lovely lady asking me if I needed help/directions. She walked me over to get a number and pointed me to the seats and said to sit and relax until my number came up (I was next). After that I met a nurse on the elevator and she asked if I needed anything, I told her why I was there and she walked me directly to the day surgery area. Once there the nurse who prepped me for my colonoscopy was super friendly and reassuring. Dr Qureshi and the nurses that did my colonoscopy were friendly and very accommodating which made the process very smooth and painless for me. The nurse in the recovery area made sure I was comfortable at all times and checked up on me on a number of occasions. Thank you Groves Memorial Hospital for a great experience.

I recieved all of my ultrasounds in my pregnancy here and the team was great. I attended the OB clinic and all the doctors were amazing. I also ended up delivering early and without the support of my family as they weren't coming down yet for a few weeks. My nurse definitely filled that spot until she had to leave at 5 and the nurses after her did the same so I never once felt alone or panicked. They talked me through everything they did or might need to do since she was going to be early, the delivery was so easy and relaxed. Once she was born they gave me the right amount of space to just be with her and enjoy the moment but also provide me with support. The nurse offered to take a shift and feed her (formula) so we could sleep longer than an hour. I can't thank them enough for such an amazing team/experience for the birth of my first baby.

Last minute trip to ER was such a pleasant experience, all considering the shape I was in. Had to interact with many staff and every single one was pleasant and kind. I kept thinking out the shortage we hear about with Doctor's and Nurses and wondered how this hospital managed to find so many with wonderful personalities and so caring. Thank you to everyone I had to interact with!
