Great shop! My husband was looking for new diving fins and they had some at great prices. The Kiwi girl was amazing, she got him properly fitted with boots and awesome fins. She really knew the equipment she was selling. Thank you so much!

Had a great experience with the Open Water Dive course with the TSC. The instructors were all kind, patient, and helpful — felt very comfortable in both the pool and lake sessions thanks to them. I do recommend potentially doing your open water dives in a different location mainly because the lake is very low visibility but its the only complaint in an otherwise excellent experience.

I recently completed the pool and theory segments of the open water certification at Toronto Scuba, under the guidance of instructors Sabrina and Matt. They taught us essential skills for handling a range of scenarios underwater. What I really appreciated was how patient they were, making sure we all got the hang of things safely and comfortably. This training left me feeling well-prepared for the remaining portions of the open water certification. Additionally, the staff was helpful in selecting and fitting the appropriate equipment, and prices were quite reasonable. I would recommend Toronto Scuba to others seeking scuba certification.

I was able to quickly get the prescription lenses I needed for my mask (which wasn't even one they have in store). Gemma was super friendly and informative! She helped get me what I needed for my snorkeling trip.

All I have to say to the team at Toronto Scuba Centre is a huge THANK YOU. My husband and I joined the team for an in pool and in class training session. Everyone at this training facility ensured that I was ultra comfortable, all the time and helped me learn and adapt to this new activity ,every step of the way. Like anything new in life, our scuba diving training took patience and practice and the team was exceptional:) I cannot thank Gemma and Matt enough. See you all again , very soon :)Can't wait to go see the fishies ! Cheers

We registered our teenaged son in the open water dive program. He completed the course and pool dives in March, and then did a refresher pool dive and open water dives in October. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. We dealt primarily with Jemma when registering and arranging for equipment rentals. The process was smooth, and very organized. They’re all just nice people there. The training he received was top notch, and very reassuring for my son. He’s gained a tremendous foundation to start his diving journey. I would definitely recommend Toronto Scuba Centre.

I did my PADI ReActivate course with them and the experience was top! You can rent your equipment with them if you don’t have it and they will have it ready for you to pickup and answer any questions you may have. They receive you with smiles on their faces and are happy to help. The training started on time and Keith the instructor was very energetic and explained everything in detail. I would definitely recommend them for any courses.

It's a dream for a scuba loving family to have this shop in the East End of Toronto. All the staff are super friendly, and know their stuff. My son (aged 10 at the time) did his junior open water through the shop and had a wonderful experience last Summer. It's always a pleasure to browse through the great range of diving equipment for all ages from masks to wetsuits and pick up all those little things you need for your next diving trip!

I’ve been diving with the TSC team for over 10 years. They run a quality operation, are very organized, manage expectations extremely well, and uphold the highest safety standards. Over and above this, they are a very fun-loving group, which makes learning with them that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend.

Great team of staff, very friendly and helpful. Had an amazing experience. The dive instructors were amazing and very encouraging. There was a young 10/11 year old in our class and it was great to see how patients and motivating they were with them. Would 100% recommend this place to people who are looking to take their courses here or even just to shop.

Great experience. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They really do want to grow the community of scuba and make it easy to get involved and excited about starting your scuba journey.

A really great place to learn scuba or buy equipment. Classes are well run and taught by knowledgeable pros (shoutout to Jemma and Matt!) who are genuinely enthusiastic about sharing the love of the sport with others. Centrally located (a bonus in my books) so no need to venture out to the ‘burbs to refresh your scuba skills (or learn them from scratch). Highly recommended.

The Instructors (we had Jung, Sabrina and Jemma) are fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Both the classroom and pool sessions were great. They made it fun and enjoyable. Also very helpful in explaining the differences in equipment for purchase. The only suggestion I'd have is to improve the equipment rental process. We weren't able to return the rental equipment after the final pool session and instead will have to return it later in the week. For those who don't live close to the Scuba Center, it's a bit inconvenient (some of us are 30-45 minute drives away).

I had a fantastic experience at Toronto Scuba Centre as I took part in my classroom and pool training en route to obtaining my certification. Jemma, Matt and Sabrina were amazing instructors both in and out of the pool. Both my buddy and I had no prior scuba experience and we were met with such a welcoming environment from both the staff at Toronto Scuba Centre as well as our fellow classmates! Overall great experience - I will certainly be back for my open water dives in the spring!

Very informative and interesting intro course. We 1st read a text book on our own time that can easily take up to 12h to absorb the information (so plan ahead). For comfort I recommend to sign up for a class at least 2 weeks ahead so you have plenty of time to read the book at your own pace. We then spent the weekend to do a review of the knowledge in the morning followed by a swim session in the pool where we learned to put the gear and perform basic safety steps like air checks, clearing water, underwater communication and coordination. For the final 4 dives needed for full certification, you can go on a vacation to do them, but the school also offers the course and lots of diving trips options. Kudos to Matt and Sabrina for being knowledgeable and patient instructors! Thank you.

I received my open water scuba certification in late September ‘23, and The Toronto Scuba Centre was amazing to deal with at every step of the way. I’m not a huge water fan to begin with, I have sensitive ears, zero experience in anything to do with scuba, and I am now pretty excited about it. My instructor Jemma Purton made all the difference. Jemma is a gifted teacher: she truly is. Not only does she clearly love her job and diving but she is super knowledgeable, and very patient with all beginners…from hooking the tanks up and rigging the equipment, to the initial pool swim all to way to the open weather dive. She took me through step- by-step and made the entire experience interesting and fun cheerfully explaining theory and practice as she went. I then purchased equipment from her that she explained insightfully , each and every feature, in an unrushed, helpful manner. Something I don't see in retail too often. I would use them 100% and I'd recommend them to all.

WOW! I had an amazing experience with the Toronto Scuba Centre! I took the in-person classroom and pool sections of the Open Water Diver course and it really helped me to go from anxious to confident and excited (and I consider myself a pretty dang anxious person, haha)! Matt, Gemma and the rest of the team were all super friendly, patient and great at teaching our large class the basics of diving. All of the knowledge and practice really empowered me to feel competent and take the first steps to become an open water diver. I got certified on my recent trip to Belize and it opened up a whole new (underwater) world of amazing creatures and life to explore. Can't thank them enough!
