The Enfield Irving Big Stop is famous throughout NS for the delicious food and wonderful table service. On recommendation from our server I tried the shrimp stir fry and the kids had the cheeseburger and chicken fingers from the kids menu. I also got the lemon meringue pie for dessert. It was a really nice experience and the foot was good as well. We’ll be back.

I have been coming here quite frequently lately, and the cooks can never seem to fully cook something on the plate. my last time there i got a poutine and the cheese was still frozen in it so i asked for a replacement of a traditional breakfast. that came out and everything on the plate was cold except for the egg. the bread had way too much butter on it and didnt even melt when they put it on so it just goes to show how cold it was when they put it on. pretty sad that you complain about having cold food and just get more of it. the waiters definitely do a good job and try their best, but i cant say the same about the cooks. definitely not planning on returning here after numerous times of leaving unhappy

One of the locals that we work with highly recommended this place for breakfast, so 4 work colleagues and I went here as we headed back to the airport to go back to Toronto. We weren't disappointed with what we got. The food was pretty good and the portions are very large. I can't remember anywhere else where the portion of home fries was so abundant. Coffee was not bad. Service was great. Our waitress checked with us a few times and topped up our coffee. I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in town. Bonus that this place is also a gas station, so I could refuel our rental before returning it.

This place is OK for a quick stop on the road or going to the airport. But it's just a bit superior to a fast food joint and maybe not worth the price premium over the franchises. The chicken wrap and clubhouse was the best of the bunch. The potatoes were not good at all neither the fries or the mash or the baked ones. The fish and chips and sea food platter was just OK. I don't recommend the hot turkey plate. Their tabke service is good and they bring out the food fairly quick if you're in a hurry.

Expect large plates of food and friendly service. Their milkshakes are so so good! They were thoroughly sanitizing after every guest and the food came quickly after we ordered it. Hot and as ordered! I can't wait to come back :)

Great meal. The special was liver and onions. DELICIOUS. Most of all the waitress / server was wonderful. We have had her before and can't say enough good about her. Her name is Mary Ann. I hope her boss knows what a great wmployee she is.

Most "Big Stop" restaurants are great places for good food and this is one of them. Portions are large; however, they also offer several meals in a "senior serving" size which is also quite adequate. Service is courteous & quick & can be prepared to eat in or to take out.

We come here almost every Sunday for breakfast. And I am happy to see that the restaurant has not really veered to shrinkflation or changing the little things! Yes pricing has gone up a little. But the quality of food is still excellent. There's still proper silverware and nice. Napkins! Very happy with the service! The ladies here are wonderful! 😊

First time dining in their new restaurant although they fully renovated a few years ago. Good food, great service, and the portions are huge!

It’s always a pleasure to stop and rest, grab a bite and use washroom and shop. You are always a place when I need you the most. I’m tire or hungry. Today was no exception. Was at store #2633 and served by Bonita. She was attentive and friendly. Food was great as always. Had French toast with bacon

Lobster roll was ok, but too much bun and very little lobster. Typical. Fabulous waitress. Nice big slices of pie and good coffee!!

I had the pan fried Haddock with a baked potato and veggies. Then I had Coconut Cream pie. The pie tasted old but the meal was very good. When the waitress brought the bill, I asked to look at it before paying. She left the bill and said she would be back in fifteen minutes after her break. I thought that was rude yo say the least. She could have asked another person to follow up for her.m

This place is always booming with people . Not a long wait to get in either . Food comes out quickly and efficiently and is always hot . Waitresses are always on their game , making sure you have everything you need . Portions are great also . After all it’s a truck stop .

Excellent restaurant! Great tasting food, fast and friendly service, and good variety of dishes from which to choose. Lobster rolls and seafood chowder were fantastic! Highly recommend!

INCREDIBLE! Cannot say enough good things about this place. Took the husband and in-law for dinner after a long flying day, and they were skeptical about how good a truck stop restaurant would be. I had the all day breakfast and wowwwwww. The homemade toast was so good

Came here to eat dinner from Halifax. Big Stop is not for traveller's stop only. It's for everyone who wants a good food and nice drive away from the city.

Generally a good time, a full belly with great service. My experience today was with a country skillet which had overcooked (boiled or microwaved vegetables it seemed). Really took away from the flavour. Everything else was hot to order but not a lot of flavour. Egg would have been nice to have it scrambled a little better with the food but it ended up being a slab of cooked scrambled egg. Wife had the omelet and had a similar experience with the vegetables. Daughter enjoyed her plain breakfast Waitress was busy but managed to pass by us 15 minutes which was getting a little too long. I had run out of water as did everyone else. (Sunday rush hour). Facilities clean as always.

Stopped in for a meal on the way from the city to home. I ordered the Bacon Double Cheeseburger and poutine and was not disappointed! The waitress, Kelsie was so fast and pleasant, our drinks never went empty and we felt that we were well taken care of. This restaurant has a diner vibe and a staff that makes the experience personal. Stop in if you are nearby! You will never leave the big stop with anything but a full belly and a great experience!

Classic diner food with maritime love. Never leave hungry and always have to have a slice of the chocolate cake with boiled frosting. So good I got it to go and ate it at the airport!
