Arrived with my boyfriend and we were welcomed first thing! The front desk lady Carol was very helpful and friendly, along with the night shift gal! Breakfast was great with many options. Pool area and fitness room were a good plus. Our room was cleaned right before we came in and it shows :) Very nice atmosphere, will be back!

Worst hotel in the entire world. We gave them so much business because we got married and had hotel blocks with them. We had our dogs because they were in the wedding and are the most important things in the world to us. We left our dogs food there and I knew I won hundred percent left it there but yet it took them three days to find it. Both of my dogs are on prescription diet so I had to buy random food for them and now they both have diarrhea thanks to the staff that misplaced my bag. I don’t care if I left the bag there. It should not take them three days to find it. We finally get the phone call they found it while we are in WV already driving home to North Carolina. After having to spend a lot of money on new dog food and chicken and rice to feed my one dog, they then asked for me to pay for shipping. Most unprofessional and disrespectful management and staff we have ever experienced. Never go to this hotel. They ruined our entire wedding weekend. They must be so incompetent for misplacing a giant bag.

Horrible SECURITY. The entrance is Unlocked ALL night and Nobody at the desk. ANYONE can walk into hotel and go on the elevator to any floor. Roaming !!! The rooms ALL have an adjoining room with a connection door. !! AC units don't all function. Breakfast just basic. I won't stay here again

3 star hotel any other day, but today it’s a 4 because the service was great! I came in from another hotel with issues late at night and they were being bombarded with guests doing the same. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and so patient. She got me into a room and when we had to extend our stay she was very helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, not the cleanest in the world but they worked. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable, so I slept great.

The rooms are run down and dirty. The room had a strong smell of weed. The property itself is poorly run and moldy. Overall it smells bad here and is gross. The property owner is also unethical and a liar, as is supported by my discussion with both Hilton Customer Service and evidence from American Express.

Was greeted with a pleasant smile and friendly hello from the manager Mariam the moment I walked in the door upon check in. Mariam informed me of all that the hotel had to offer. Breakfast in the mornings. Coffee 24/7 in the lobby area. Fitness area and more. Thanks Miriam. I Traveled here for a wedding I attended. Geographically this hotel was in a perfect location for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Was exceptional. The room was very nice with a fridge and microwave in the room. Big plus when staying for multiple days. Bed was very comfortable. The fitness center was really nice. Had all I needed. Cardio equipment and free weights. The fitness center was spotless. Meticulously clean. A big thank you and great job to the gentleman that was finishing cleaning the fitness center one morning when I was about to enter. Had All the floors mopped and sanitized all the equipment. Thank you sir. Rooms were very clean. Kudos to housekeeping staff. The coffee was fabulous. House blend and Dark Roast options. Breakfast had various items. Fresh fruits and various breakfast options thar were very good. In my opinion you can not beat this hotel for all that it offers…. Especially at this price point/ value. I will be staying here again every time I visit this area. Thanks to Miriam and all the staff at Hampton Inn for making my stay pleasurable. I really appreciated it. . All the best to you all.

Mediocre hotel. Decently clean and smelled nice. Beds were worn out and uncomfortable. Pillows were okay and decent number per bed. Desk chair was broken and not usable. Breakfast was bland and inedible. Wasn’t able to utilize pool or hot tub since it closed at 11. I did enjoy contactless check in. I was also greeted and thanked by housekeeping.

We stayed here for 3 nights in November and had a pretty awful experience. Our neighbors were very loud, and had children running down the hallway screaming, slamming doors, and making noise all throughout the night (up to like 4am). We tried calling the front desk from our room, but no one answered the phone. In the morning, we went down in person, and talked to someone about the issue. They mentioned they would talk to the guests. Next night was the exact same issue. Repeated the process downstairs with the front desk, but luckily that room was checking out that day so it didn't matter. The third night was much better. When the front desk asked how our visit was during checkout, I explained the issue we had, and was told that they would take care of it, and left a good message for the manager. The front desk attendant especially seemed to indicate that the room next to us had other issues. The manager never ended up contacting us, but we did get a survey in an email. We filled out the survey honestly (several high and low numbers), and the manager emailed us with a generic apology and a couple points. I called the manager and asked for a bit more considering we were unable to sleep for two nights. She treated me with complete disrespect, saying that we were lying about contacting the front desk and only complained about it after we left to try to get some money. Additionally she said that since we already filled out the survey, she had no incentive to try to make things right for us. Mariam Tonapetyan was the manager responsible for this bad visit. While I can't say the hotel itself is bad, their customer service under her is awful, and I could never bring myself to go back to her.

Overall pool area needs to be scrubbed there is green on the edge where the water filter is. In room showers need to be scrub under the soap holder when sitting on toilet you can see scum and black stuff around. Ice bucket had hair in it. Rope in chair at desk very bad ripe. Furniture had stains and the room wasn’t fresh!! In winter we like taking our son out to hotels now I remember why I stop booking this one and it’s right around the corner from my house! But not a friendly place. Staff needs to not coming knocking at 9am and then try to open the door when no answer because they want to clean the room when check out is not until 12pm!! We was showering and she was already unlocking the door opening it when I got to the door!! Then when I decided to leave at 10:20 am due to that and the staff really not caring I open my door and the same staff member is sitting in the room across from me at the table on her phone!! But she was so in a hurry to clean my room!! Customer service needs to be more important at this hotel! Front desk needs to be more friendly and have better service. They need to know how to take everyone not stare at autistic children like the lady at check in did to my son. She look like she was very irritated!!

The service was amazing, breakfast was fabulous with such a great selection. The cleanliness was great, the beds were ok, both beds in the room were squeaky/ loud. Just rolling over or sitting on the bed was loud.

Sherry, Terry, and Raniah took care of me as if I was family. They went above and beyond to give me exceptional service and I truly appreciate their warm welcome into Michigan. Will definitely be staying here again. Thanks again!

AVOID THIS HOTEL!!! Hotel is a dated but more importantly VERY poorly managed and HORRIBLE customer service. Starts at the top with the manager (Kim S_______, out of respect I won't post her full name) who did NOTHING to help anyone in our group of rooms. Should have switched hotels after hours on the phone trying to fix diffulty booking - manager couldnt be bothered and cooperate refused to fix the issue. Additionally rooms weren't ready when we arrived ( at 2am), hotel shuttle stopped/left us stranded at reception, people were double charged after leaving. After leaving this review I was contacted by the hotel trying to cover up their lack if care so I replied with more details which I'm now including here... We called for s shuttle bt 12& 1 and was told it had already ran....everytime we tried to get in the hotel shuttle we were denied bc it was for a "different wedding". The poor midnite front desk agent (who is the only positive in the hotel) had to go clean a room at 2am for one of the guests in our party (& we were very cordial about it)....an hour later he got cussed out by a guest from another party bc they didnt have a room. Additionally, the room that was changed twice then not ready at 2am (for the couple with three kids) Was charged twice for their room! These issues coupled with all the time and phone calls my sister/the bride had to make to try to sort out the reservation block for the guests is absurd. I booked my reservation with points bc I had so much difficulty booking and couldn't bother her bc all the guests had already been calling & emailing her bc the booking process was so complicated, confusing and bottom line WRONG!! She called the manager and corporate, neither were willing to fix the reservations issue. Additionally others called and echoed the sentiments of an abrasive & RUDE manager. How do you treat a bride who is bringing business to your hotel with such disregard???? I'm incredibly disappointed with this hotel brand and it makes me even more proud that while Im a Hilton honors member, I will continue to spend the majority of my money as a titanium elite at marriott with over 200 stays/ year! Hampton Inn Detroit/Utica-Shelby Township you should be ashamed to be a part of the Hilton brand!

We could not sleep in the rooms due to mold issues at this hotel. There is peeling wallpaper with mold behind plus the musty smell is overwhelming in both rooms we were moved to. This location needs to shut down for a major remodel. Luckily the staff seemed to be aware and gave us a refund. We found a new hotel 5 minutes away for half the price.

I truly hate to post a review but I am so put-off by my experience with Hilton and in particular my experience with this hotel. First-off my primary issue was my mistake and I take blame for it. I mistakenly booked the incorrect night and did not notice until I went to check in the day of. Andrew was the front desk receptionist at the time and was absolutely delightful. He is the only reason I'm giving 2-stars. Rooms were available for the date I showed up and he was able to book me a room. I called Hilton to see if it was at all possible to refund the room for my mistake. I realize there are policies and procedures in place, but still I had to try. The rep at Hilton - Josh barely said two words to me before immediately transferring me back to the hotel I am staying at. I was placed on hold and patiently waited. During my explanation to Miriam, I was still hopeful someone would understand that it was truly a mistake. What really has me upset is that she made me feel as if I was the inconvenience to her! Since I was a no-show, I lost them out on money because they would be unable to rebook the room if someone wanted it. It was a Tuesday night...clearly I can't see records, but they were able to book me a room tonight (Wednesday) last minute. You can't tell me they were fully booked on a Tuesday night. I then get to my room and the first thing I see are multiple stains on some of the furniture...just not overall a great experience. I brought co-workers in to stay as well...so now multiple rooms have been paid for when I should have just left and gone elsewhere. I planned on having three of us stay here next week as well but that clearly will not be happening.

In need of some updating. We were "upgraded" and it was the worst hotel experience I've had to date. It was so loud, the people above us were nonstop loud, we request a different room and were told they would handle it, they didn't. I was woken at 6 am by what I thought was a dripping faucet, but it was a treadmill across the hall. The room was dated, old, the couch cushions didn't match the couch. They only left 2 towels in the room. Awful, I canceled my 2nd night stay to find another hotel. The room was across from the gym and pool, was very very loud. Also when other doors were to open or close on the floor, my door would rattle, which startled me many times through out the night.

The uninformed front desk person told me breakfast ended at 11am, Came down at 10:15 to it completely closed down. Now I’m going to work hungry, I chose this place because it was the only one with breakfast in the area… Hate when people don’t know the basic aspects of their job. Whoever was working the front desk last night 06/09 really ruined my morning

Clean rooms, good hot showers. Rooms have dorm sized refrigerator and microwave, small desk and chairs. Breakfast was best continental hot breakfast I have had in a while. Biscuits for biscuits in gravy were actually better than sit down restaurant. Southwestern omelettes were great! Turkey sausage was ok. (It's turkey). Not my first time here, definitely a consistent and pleasant stay. Rooms are clean, might have some peeling wall paper. But good place to stay

Rooms are fine. But ours had a ton of hair stuck to the wall in the shower. Pretty gross. Pool area is nice. Unfortunately the hot tub was drained on Sunday morning for maintenance for several hours. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. Easy check in and out with the Hilton app. Close to the M-53 freeway, restaurants, and coffee.

Clean and great staff. I stayed here for 4 days in the winter when my power was out. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only issue I had was communicating with housekeeping, the woman I tried to speak with did not speak English well. Room was very clean and had a good layout. Microwave and fridge in the room. 24 hour coffee and tea at the front desk. Good breakfast every morning. The days I stayed the hotel was at full capacity and I was still able to find a parking spot. Could hear my neighbors a little but it was not disturbing. Hotel does allow dogs and one morning I did hear a dog whining. I would defiantly stay here again.

Had a whirlpool room on a Fri night. We were in town for a wedding. After the wedding wrapped up we came back to the room to relax in the whirlpool only to be met with lukewarm water. It was already 2 AM so we did what we could to wash up before bed. When we woke up we tried again as still had NO HOT WATER. When we checked out it seemed as though front desk was aware there was an issue throughout the WHOLE HOTEL but offered nothing for the inconvenience.

We stayed here for my wedding weekend and it was very pleasant. The bed was so comfortable, I actually slept the night before my wedding!! A special thank you to Terry in Housekeeping for going out of his way to make sure my party was taken care of. He even gifted me some cash for a wedding gift, so sweet! My only complaint would be the floor in my room was pretty dirty, couldn’t walk barefoot or my feet would be black. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay!
