when i arrived at the bob marley guesthouse i was surprised how friendly the boss was. And not only the boss, he has a really great team. Rooms are not big but they are fantastic and the beds are great. breakfast contains delicious pancakes, in the afternoon you can eat a delicious pizza and in the evening a plate of tajin and much more. There are also fantastic parties in the evening where everyone can sing along. And of course I saved the best for last. Everything is done with a great view of the Nile. So all this summed up quality price unbeatable!!!

What a peaceful place this is. Sat on the roof overlooking the mainland of Aswan city and the comings and goings on the Nile. Enjoy a chilled beer or some home cooked food at very reasonable prices. The decor is funky and Jamaican themed. If you visit Elephentine Island then this is the place to go to slake your thirst.

Bob Marley decorated restaurant with a fine selection of dishes. I went for the fish tagine which took like 30 minutes to be prepared. A decent piece of fish with a great taste is a piping hot clay pot. The staff is very friendly and helpful and in for a chat. The view over the water is not bad too either!

If you are looking for a local place do eat in Aswan, here is a special restaurant/guest house. My boyfriend and I tried their food tonight and I do not have words to discribe how special it was. You will really feel at home. The food is delicious, the service is amazing, the view unreal. It is a must for anyone visiting Aswan.

Myself and my girlfriend went here for a meal while in aswan, the staff and people were very friendly and kind from the start! Good atmosphere and felt at home. The food was tasty,fresh and cooked by family couldn't of had a better experience than we did. Good kind hearted people and a credit to their community and people :)

The hotel is located just a few meters next to the ferry station and has a great view, especially from the roof terrace. The rooms are very simple but clean. The food tastes excellent and the hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating.

Such a lovely place to eat on the island. Both the chicken curry, and the aubergine, bechemal tagine were fantastic. The people are also so welcoming and friendly. Amazing views, calm and serene atmosphere. I very much recommend visiting and eating here.

The restaurant is located on Elephantine Island, which can be easily reached by boat for £10. The name says it all, here you feel like you are in Jamaica. The walls are beautifully decorated and decorated with photos of the namesake. The restaurant is located on the cozy terrace with a beautiful view of the Nile and Aswan with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is really VERY tasty. Since everything is freshly prepared and not pre-cooked like elsewhere, it takes a while to arrive. However, this is also on the map. Prices are slightly higher than elsewhere in Egypt, but are reasonable for what is on offer. I had the camel tagine, which was really delicious. All main courses come with side dishes and very tasty bread. The waiter is very friendly and personable, but could do with checking things out a little more often; it's sometimes a bit difficult to call him. All in all, still a full recommendation!

We went for the restaurant They have amazing food for all tastes! Delicious fresh and yummy 😋😋😋we have tried grilled kofta, shish tawook, mixed vegetables tajin.. Over looking the Nile with the sailing boats commuting 😍 Wouldn’t hesitate to go back..

Although the food takes longer to serve, but it is absolutely delicious served by a very accommodating staff! Highly recommended 😊 especially the restaurant has an amazing view of River Nile that makes the whole place fantastically good!

We had dinner in this lovely place every day during our stay on Elefantin island. Very friendly, positive and helpful staff. There were smiles, good chatter - everything for spending your good time here! There fore you can listen reggae music from Bob Marly, see amazing view to the Nile and get unfogetable atmosphere every day. Meanwile you will get delicious cuisine and huge portions and beer is avaliable also here. You will come back here like we!

The location is near the ferry on Elphantine Island. There is a delicious restaurant on top. The rooms are clean and come equipped with an a/c. If you need any tours Ali can help you set them up. The aubergine/eggplant tagine is delicious!

Very comfortable Space and conveniently close to the public ferry. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms. Good showers, good air conditioning. Nice views from the restaurant and COLD BEER !!!!

Wow! The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the food was amazing (had chicken from the targine). Real laid back place to chill and have a good time! Highly recommended!

We'd read the reviews about the food taking a while so we were prepared, but the 1.5 hour wait was more than we were expecting. And our pizza was forgotten so it came another 30 minutes after that. And then another 30 minutes to wait for the bill after asking for it... But the slow slow timing wasn't the only thing. The beef tajine had such chewy meat (not at all tender) we didn't finish it, and the aubergine with bechamel tajine, which we'd ordered for a vegetarian, had small bits of meat in it, which really upset said vegetarian, and the vegetable tajine is the exact same vegetable side dish they serve everywhere except with fewer vegetables and more potatoes. The rice and bread are also the same as everywhere. There was nothing to set this place apart from anywhere else. The only things we enjoyed were the grilled meat and the mango juice. To be fair, there was no running water on the island tonight, so maybe in normal times it's a bit more efficient? And the view is nice, they serve alcohol, and the waiter was juggling a lot at once. We still wouldn't come back.

We were here for Nubian cuisine and drinks twice. The staff are top notch, food is better than we had in other places, and the vibe/view is great! Highly recommend!!

We only had dinner there and we found the food really tasty. We had aubergine and zucchini tagine with bechamel accompanied with side dishes. We clean every drop of sauce in our plates. The portions were also quite big. The view of the Nile from the terrace is also wonderful. It just takes time to prepare the dishes but because it's all fresh and they also advise you on the menu. If you are in a hurry, it's better not to order Tagine.

Cannot speak to the hostel but I had quite a poor experience at the restaurant. Food took 1h30 to come with a dish missing, meat present in the vegetarian dish, quality of the food was not great. On the positive side the server was quite good and did his best. Drinks were also good and the view was beautiful at night.

Best food in the area, very warm people, great prices, great ambience. Came two days in a row. The food is freshly cooked and it’s a family owned business - it takes a while to arrive but is totally worth the wait.

Very nice place where you can chill after a long day visiting the archeological sites. Relaxing atmosphere, food is amazing (I recommend aubergine besciamell and tomatoes). This place is far away from the crawded roads of the cities and you can enjoy the spectacular view at sunset.

So delicious!! And the people are incredibly kind. You get to eat watching the sun set on the Nile. 1000% recommend.

Our first night in Aswan, we took a private boat ride with Momen to Bob Marley Moonlight Terrace. The boat ride was very safe, professional, and fun. Momen walked us to the exact location since you have to walk through a restaurant then through an alley and up stairs. We ordered the BBQ mix and it was DELICIOUS. It came with appetizers and a hospitality vegetable dish. We cleaned our plates. Ali, the owner, was extremely friendly and hospitable. Views, music, and ambiance were the perfect relaxing rooftop vibes. There were some fun cat visitors as well that were very friendly and happy to be pet! 10/10 would go back and recommend to anyone staying in Aswan.

I cannot speak to the hotel - as I only ate at the rooftop restaurant for dinner. We had the Camel Tajine and Fried Fish. The food was absolutely incredible. Beers were extra cold and the service was great. Very friendly and attentive staff. Probably one of the best places to eat in Aswan that I had found. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the city, or on the island. The ferry ride is easy and cheap (10 EPG per person, each way). Will visit again!
