It was my first time sleeping in a tent! And I want to say that I had the best sleep here in Egypt, very comfortable, soft mattress and big tents! Bassem, the owner, made sure that we had enough blankets during the cold night next to the desert! We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and got all the information we wanted for our stay in Aswan. Very clean bathroom right on the rooftop and in the building with hot water! The breakfast was one of the best after visiting sleeping in several hostels here in Egypt! Very cozy nights with a very chill atmosphere. I will definitely recommend Nubian Kingdom for your next and I will definitely encourage you to book the tent for the experience! I’ll be back!

The owner Bassan is friendly, open hearted and incredibly hospitable. The tea is free as a service and if you cannot make it to breakfast, they can prepare you with a breakfast box to go. He can organise a tour package to Abu Simbel for the day and taxis to wherever you need to go. The Wi-Fi is fast and the signal is strong! The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a ceiling fan and up to date air conditioning fitted. There is a shared living area for guests and the bathroom and toilets are also shared but are kept very clean. The rooms are extremely affordable. The location is extremely convenient on the quieter Nubian side, west bank of the river. It is a close 5 minute walk to the public ferry which costs E£10 pp for tourists as of date published. 10/10 would definitely reccomend and return

I went here with my wife a couple of years back, and we had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was an amazing escape from the constant requests for tips and attentiveness needed to avoid being scammed. They offer an amazing dinner for a reasonable price that I would recommend trying at least once while you visit. This guest house is a must go for adventurous travelers!! I hope we will get to visit this place again.

We got onto the public ferry from Aswan to north Aswan cost £10 Egyptian pounds which is 50cents Australian. Then we got Camel to the tombs of the noble camel ride was £200 Egyptian pounds amazing history and very colourful ruins.

Bassam's terrace is my favorite place to chill out in entire Egypt! I felt immediately at home when I first arrived, and despite the great museums and attractions nearby, I spent most of my free time on the terrace enjoying the sun, Nubian music, and just chatting to Bassam. The rooms are understandably basic but comfortable to sleep in, and it's only a short walk from the public ferry. Remember to bring your own toiletries!

I highly recommend this homestay, 👍the boss and staff are very friendly, the environment is very good, gave us a lot of help, no matter how late in the check-in will give us a pot of welcome tea (very good) in the morning, there is a rich breakfast, and teach us how to make coffee, in short, I highly recommend you to stay here, the transportation is also very convenient, there is a ferry terminal👍

Excellent experiencie in this guesthouse. Place is really nice, rooftop and its view are amazing. Nubian people is really nice and friendly. They waited for me with a typical dinner, played music and explained about their history and traditions. They make you feel at home. The food and beakfast is very good and abundant, coffee also great too. The location is the best, near the public ferry, the nobles thombs, you can see the sunset on the desert, and is far from the city noise. Its the right place if you are looking for relaxing and a good rest.

It's an amazing place. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is kind and very worried about the guests. In addition, I had one of the best experiences at night, they prepared some music and food for sharing with other guests. I'd really like to come back to spend more time in this beautiful and unique place.

Super relaxed and laid back. This place made our trip to Aswan special and was the highlight of our 1 month in Egypt. Our host, Basaam, and his family were most welcoming and made us feel like we were part of their family. The food was TO DIE FOR, so make sure you have dinner there. I wish we had time to do a bike from Aswan to Luxor with Basaam. Sounds like the most amazing adventure!

Bassam was a great host. The effort he has put into the roof area was really amazing, such a nice space to hang out and chat with him and other travellers. Showers were hot, AC was great. It was nice to stay on the West Bank and use the ferry over to the main city on the East Bank with all the locals. Very cheap and easy, but is something to be aware of. Great WiFi in the rooftop area, plenty of spaces there to chill out.

Everything. So far, this is one of the best places in all Egypt, and one of my favourite places in the world. And frankly, I have been in many different places. Bassam, the owner is the coolest and friendly guy around. Me and my family felt literally In our home and his welcome was just without description. When it comes to the food, well it was stunning. Different traditional dishes every night cooked to a perfection. The list goes on, because you cannot leave this place without trying the traditional coffee. Personally, I don't drink coffee, but here I had to try and again I was shocked. So damn good. Freshly roasted coffee with ginger. My god! Ask him to make if he forgets. And then there is the game, the music, the view and the vibe. The place is so relaxing, that you don't want to leave it. When it come to cleanliness, 10/10. Also there is hot water, and air conditioning, which works perfectly, silently and amazingly!!! The room was so clean, fresh and smelled like heaven. Intact we were almost drunk with the delicious profume. One of my favourite thing though, was the sand on the roof top, taken from the deep desert. Walking barefoot, makes you feel as if you are in the desert all the time. Last word, a special thank you to everyone and most importantly to Abdul!!!

I felt like home. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place was very clean considering where the place is at. The food was ridiculously delicious. If you stay here, you will get to try authentic Nubian food. There were also lots of activities you can try in the area. Highly recomend.

Highlight of our road trip, highly recommended, very beautiful! Stayed there 2 weeks 😁 Travellers are always on the search for getaway places, filled with soul, culture, love and minimalist beauty! Aragheed Nubian Guest House, without a doubt is one of the most beautiful guest houses in west Aswan. Placed right at the footsteps of the nobles tombs, offering beautiful vibes, sweetest people, tastiest food & music that speak to the soul, this guest house is one of the best experience! Bassam, the owner is a beautiful soul, always making sure his guest are comfortable, enjoy their time and are on a full belly, heart & soul!

I enjoyed the authenticity of the place. Besam, the host welcomed and sent me off with some very good hibiscus tea, prompting me to buy some fresh hibiscus tea for myself further on elsewhere in the trip. The food served at night as well as the breakfast were very good and a great sample of Nubian cusine. I quite enjoyed the post dinner coffee ritual. You also have the option of booking sand-boarding trips with Besam. Couple of things to note, if you are staying in the tent, it is placed on the roof and does not have air-conditioning. The roof does get quite hot during the day and nights are not very cool. With regard to booking trips and such, you may want to do your due diligence and check elsewhere too. The rates I got from the sources provided here were not good; not necessarily a strong critique of Besam, but he may not have developed a strong network on that front yet.

The Aragheed Nubian Guesthouse is a truly wonderful place to stay in Aswan - in fact I'd happily say that it's one of the best places I've ever stayed on my travels! Bassam is a very welcoming host and has a genuine interest in all his guests. He is incredibly passionate about Nubian culture, music and people - he gave us a fascinating walk through his village, showed us lots of awesome Nubian music and showed us how to brew an amazing ginger coffee! They also made some local food in the evening which was absolutely incredible, I'd definitely recommend you get all your food there! The place was really nice, good little rooms with air-con, and a wonderful and atmospheric top floor to socialise and relax. Bassam was also really great at arranging activities including Abu Simbel and an overnight felucca up the Nile to Kom Ombo. He's also very communicative and gets back to you quickly if you have any questions. A wonderful place that we're really glad we discovered and would love to go back to if we return to Aswan!

Amazing cultural experience, the place was extremely clean and the people very hospitable Pros · This place is one of the highlights of my 3 week trip to Egypt and a unique cultural experience to remember because of the traditional Nubian coffee we had in the tent the night we arrived. Just the owner of the hotel and his friends singing and playing live music on traditional instruments mixed with the sound of the campfire and the beans being roasted on top of it. The process is long, and the resulting cups of coffee are small but the taste is worth the wait and the process itself using dried grass to filter the coffee at the end is so interesting to watch. No staged organized trip can ever compare to this. About the hotel and the rooms: The place is exceptionally clean. Breakfast was a lot and truly amazing. Everything is colored in a traditional Nubian Style and looks so pretty and colorful. The atmosphere is really laid back, especially on the roof terrace with a view over the Nile. Perfect for relaxation! About the location: It is right next to the Tombs of Nobles, the surroundings are beautiful and the area is really quiet at night so if you are a light sleeper you will be delighted. About the people: Everyone was extremely kind and friendly. Thank you for the hospitality and for letting us join you and your friend in the tent for some Nubian coffee, music and freshly roasted dates. Cons · The hotel is on the other side of the river so you need to somehow cross it in order to get there. There is a cheap ferry that will take you across for only 5 or 10 egp but it is a bit difficult to find it and there are plenty of boat owners that will claim they are the ferry or that there is no ferry and ask 200 egp or more to take you across. Not knowing what are the opening hours for the ferry we felt especially nervous if it will be still working the later it got. Luckily, on the way back the owner of the hotel had a friend of his bring us back to the other side with his boat for free.
