    Went here after visiting the village because I saw it had a long line of locals at lunch time. Thankfully, when I went at 1pm, it was far less busy, no line. I got the small bowl with the chicken tempura (yes, tempura). The noodles and the soup were delicious. Nice light flavor, not too heavy. Hot tea at the table, cold water available self-serve. The chicken was amazing. The tempura was so much lighter in texture than karaage, I recommend it. I thought I'd be absolutely stuffed, but was surprised that I was just satisfied. The people were very nice and tried to speak some English, though my japanese is ok-ish. Overall a great experience. I think I only spend 1200Y... which is insanely cheap.

    Came here after the open air museum to eat some udon and I'm glad I did! The set up is like quick service where you order and pay before being seated. The we got the large shared udon bowl and some karaage. Both were tasty, but I was still a bit shocked at how big of a portion you get for two people. I can't imagine how many noodles they give you for the super sized portion. They give you a sizzling hot container of dipping sauce for your udon and it's a little sketchy pouring it out, but it works well enough. Overall, good service and great food, definitely come here to eat if you're already coming for the museum.

    Decent Udon place inside a charming old farmer building. The restaurant is located right next to the outdoor museum "Shikoku Village" and boasts having some of the best Udon noodles in the country. We had a serving of cold and of hot Udon with some dipping sauce, as well as chicken and vegetable tempuras. The Udon had a great consistency (a bit firmer than what you are usually getting) and the dipping sauce tasted nice. The tempura was alright but nothing outstanding. Pricewise, you pay a bit more than at your average Udon place but overall you can definitely get a cheap meal there. Additionally, they offer some truly massive serving sizes. As there are not that many places around, if you happen to be in the area definitely give Waraya a try.

    Delicious, clean tasting udon! Firm, chewy textured udon that I had so much of just on its own with the stock! You can add spring onion and ginger to your taste. We are a family of 6, so we ordered the family size tub of udon. Which was massive! But we had no problems finishing off just like that. No need for side dishes! Definitely recommend coming here!
