Climbing the mountain was quite difficult for me but I enjoyed every bit of the experience. It took me about 35 minutes to get to the top

Nice temple after a good hike. Hike is through green and quiet steep. But worth the view.

This is the temple on top of the Yashima area mountain- or hill, if you prefer. It’s not the best temple in Japan by any measure, but there’s an aquarium and the view from the mountain is pretty good, you can see the Setonaikai and the downtown of Takamatsu quite well from this lookout.

Great place to visit, great hiking trails, temple and overlook of city and islands

An old and beautiful temple with a splendid view.

I really loved the shrine and the observation deck. I'd strongly suggest taking the bus (there seems to be no hiking trail anyway). The last bus left at 5:30pm when I was there (couple of days ago). The shrine is very quiet, pretty and has little shops around the observation deck during the day with food, souvenirs and ice cream. You can also buy the lucky charms quite cheap at the shrine!
