Although the seats were comfortable, I could only feel pain in my legs. Besides that, the projections were poor and the 3D models of the planets were very frustrating. I saw the Hakase Tarou show, there was unnecessary commentators, the story was poor, and the dome on which the show was projected had openings for the projectors which were extremely frustrating. The show was very mediocre, I (and a lot of the audience) fell asleep during its run time of about 45 minutes. I would recommend you to go somewhere else and enjoy your stay in Tokyo.

The staff was quite rude and the show had nothing to do with science. It was a bunch of poorly animated love stories that maybe only young couples would be interested in. The seating was awful as well, on the side we had half our view blocked! Def not worth 1,900 for the short showing of generic cartoon tropes they played, you are better off just going to the cinema. Won’t be going back.

The bed looks comfy and that’s it. We booked the “floating island” in dome 2 and the whole process it felt like a nice commercial video. The atmosphere was relaxing, the starry night was good and that’s all. In total it wasnt as I expected..

I went a day ahead to book a show, the cashier said it was sold out. I went back to the hotel and searched the sight only to find out it was on 25% full. Went back, different cashier sold us tickets. All in all, we went to 2 shows one after the other. Well, it was over 50 years since I was to planetarium, they certainly have changed. Not much science now! One show was 40 minutes of Beethoven with a Iive band; they were good but given the possibilities, the light show wasn’t up to par. The second was a collection of stories with 3 so so ballads. The stories might appeal to the under 25 crowd. I suppose that this is a date venue and they probably do a good school business.

Was recommended certain seats by the cashier at the ticket desk today and we thought they were pods seats or the ones in the picture for two people. It was very quiet and we bought in advance so there was no reason we didn't get the good seats. I'm pregnant, tall and have back pain so the single or double pod type seats would have been great. Instead I was in a lot of pain. We were seated towards the back of the theater and the story was terrible and sad. We really wanted to see the one in Dome 2 but the cashier would not allow us to get tickets for it because it was in Japanese and apparently I needed a ticket for Dome 2 to see Dome 1. Perhaps we just came at a really bad time of day and we had to wait over an hour. Which was pretty tedious. Also it is basically just a cinema and not like the planetariums I have been too in other countries which are more science based and about learning.

Worst experience in month long Japan trip. Arrived at 8:24 for expensive seats of 8:30 show only to be told by manager and sidekick the theater was too dark to let us in, but we could go in if we sat in cheaper seats🧐🤨🤔. When we refused, they refused us entry. The manager finally agreed to a refund….I will be waiting for it.

Enjoy the stars and landscapes in the planetarium dome, while listening to some classical bangers. Would recommend the LIVE in the DARK CLASSIC Moonlight music by L.V. Beethoven

We dashed across town (we are tours it’s) to make it to 8:30 show for which we bought 5 of the most expensive seats - we arrived at 8:24 and were told by manager Ogino we were too late and could sit in cheaper seats. When we refused they said we couldn’t come in at all. Worst experience we had in our month long trip to Japan.
