We spent a lovely morning in the sunshine today walking around the park, galleries and the shops. Finished off with a nice coffee at the Weston where our car was parked. Excellent value for money. Spent £6.00 each which was well worth it for a morning. You could easily spend all day here and bring a picnic. We'll be back soon.

Great place to spend a sunny day. Good for families, with lots of sculptures nearer to the entrance or not too far to walk but then there's also lots of land and a good circular path to walk if you want to go a bit further. It's easy to spend all day here. Bring some drinks and food with you though, the cafe prices are quite inflated.

absolutely beautiful scenery and sculptures. even on an overcast day the park is a guaranteed lovely day out. it's currently £6 per person (cheaper for students and i believe senior citizens too) and parking is free. dogs are allowed but need to stay on the lead because of all of the cattle. some areas dogs can't go in. the food is decent price (£6-12 for a meal and drink) and is very fresh and tasty. i recommend 3-4 hours here if you want to see everything and a bit longer if you want to stop for lunch or can't walk very fast.

Beautiful place to visit with so much to see and do. Workshops and activities for the kids, lovely food. Generally a really peaceful and awesome place with new things to see through the year. The current Robert Indiana exhibition is fantastic and is a must-see in my opinion.

Fantastic day out for the whole family and dogs. Spacious, beautiful fields, hills, pathways, woodlands, meadows. Sculptures very interesting and it's so exciting to walk and almost Hunt to discover another one. Cafes, shops, galleries, toilets on side. Staff extremely helpful. Entrance £6 parking included. Stunning views. Highly recommended attraction, very close from M1.

Definitely not with £9 for an adult ticket. I wouldn’t take your dog as they have to be on a leash and the cafe/restaurant isn’t dog friendly. Some paths lead to nowhere and dogs can’t enter certain areas. We didn’t know this and proceeded to get shouted at by a volunteer. Definitely will not be visiting again. Far too expensive and not dog friendly.

What am amazing day out for £6. So much to see and a great setting for the sculptures. The Bloomberg app is helpful, although could be a lot better (kept up to date and actually use the location permission it asks for to detect or show you where you are).

Fantastic place to wander around and relax in the open air. Lots of eccentric sculptures and educational exhibitions to learn about techniques and international artists. Captain Tom sculpture was present before moving it to Leeds, I thought he could have been put in a better location within the park.

Beautiful place for a walk, amazing scenery and really interesting sculptures. Dogs welcome in the park but have to be on a lead due to the wildlife. They can’t go in the main building though. Lovely cafe(s) selling lovely food, worth a visit for the main cafe alone. Definitely one of my favourite local places.

Brilliant, best experienced on a nice sunny day like we had today. If you want to experience the whole park you will need to spend the whole day and walk some considerable distance. I was there for over 3 hours and felt like I had only scratched the surface. Be aware that you have to buy your tickets beforehand but having said that we bought ours 1.5 miles from the park.

Wonderful place. I heard that they had some new sculptures for people who have visited it long time ago. Nice place for a pictures with sculpture and a woodland walk. Actually some good and some funny sculptures, very modern and some of them are mixed style, reminds very known sculptures but has a drop of modern in it. It is an enormous place I actually didn't expect it to be so big, if you need a walk and don't want to travel far away in the hills it's perfect. Map is bit confusing with all entrances in the footpaths. Not all paths are allowed for dogs. Can enjoy some drinks and ice-cream in a cafe and ice-cream and snacks for dogs! The price of the tickets was a surprise for my friend as he said it didn't show you have to pay for it online. But it was definitely worth it! Nice walk there are some bird peeking stations and sheep around on free land. I wouldn't put white shoes if I would know but that was surprise for me 😁😁

What a great day out! It's a big site with fields containing sculptures and sheep 🐑 and a big lake surrounded by woodlands and more sculptures. Perfect place for walking the dog 🐕. It has a visitor centre with some good art, a gift shop and a cafe upstairs which has fabulous views of the park. The cafe does cater for vegans.

This is a day out with a difference. Beautiful countryside, woodland walks a Lake and thought provoking Sculptures. Even if art isn’t your “thing” the various sculptures bring another dimension to this vast parkland. Very good Covid controls throughout. Nice cafe albeit not yet fully open. Plenty of open space and picnic area set the scene for a memorable day out. Well signposted from M62. Plenty of parking too.

So much to see. So many places to go. And all for a bargain £6 (book online) including parking which there is ample at the main entrance or at The Weston cafe location. Excellent! But it would be, it's Yorkshire.

Wonderful walking spaces with plenty of space and some fantastic sights to see. Even discounting the sculptures which are varied but might not be for everyone, the trails around the lake are well worth visiting for.

An amazing place to spend the day. We will be returning to see the rest of the park soon as it was too large to see it all in one day! The range of sculptures around the park was incredible, with so many amazing artists work and sculptures to see.

A really enjoyable day out, be prepared to walk a long way as it is laid out over a large area with a combination of rolling hills, lakes and woodland. The sculptures are diverse but placed in to groups with good information to allow the viewer to understand the artist’s intention. Plenty of places to sit and take in the environment and cafes for refreshments, all in all it should be on anyone interested in the arts list to visit

A lovely way to spend a few hours walking around this vast area looking at all sorts of fascinating sculptures. Only £6 entry which includes car parking so really good value for money. Shop and cafe on site, and prices quite reasonable too. One little gripe is the map doesn't show which sculptures are where I'd you don't know names etc. so would be easy to miss some out. Well worth a visit.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a large country park which hosts over 100 sculptures spread around the outdoor area, along with indoor collections. The art is of the modern genre, much of which is attractive to children, making for a good family day out. The exhibits cover a large area, so expect to be taking exercise on well made pathways and grassed areas. The park is mobility aid friendly, with mobility scooters available in the main entrance. There are two main catering and amenity locations, the Weston in particular offering a wide variety of food and drinks. There is also an area where picnicking is popular. Covid restricts admission to advance booking, at £6pp, free to under 18s, the car parking pay machines are currently suspended. Pre Covid the only admission was £12 per vehicle for the day, including all occupants. The admission charges help fund the park. Courses are available in arts and crafts. The Park is easily accessible by car, being just1mile from jct38 of the M1. From jct38 take the A637, then the two entrances are on the left, the first being for the Weston, the second, off a roundabout, being for the main entrance. Obviously a visit to the Park is weather dependent, indoor facilities and exhibitions aside, but whatever the conditions, this is a an excellent place to visit, especially for fans of modern art. My last visit was pre Covid, but as restrictions are easing the YSP is commissioning new exhibits from February and March 2022. The website has all the information, including the current Covid status.

Great place to spend some time. Have a mindfulness experience in the Deer Shelter Skyspace. The entrance fee is worth this one exhibit alone. Plus you must visit the cafe. Great food at good prices.

A big place, with lots to see. Big permanent sculptures, but also collections that vary from time to time. Set in lovely landscape where you can really appreciate them. And have a nice walk too. Even with quite a few school groups, it's not overcrowded. Restaurant and facilities are a really good standard too.

Exceeded our expectations, the park was much larger than we had expected and really well maintained. Great if you have a dog as plenty of open spaces to explore. Lots of art to see and exhibitions, the Annie Montgomerie exhibition was particularly good. Coffee was great and the gift shops were stocked really well, great place to find gifts. Very good value for just £6 entry.

It was a good day out and so many funky sculptures scattered around the park. You need to spend a whole day to explore all their sculptures and I think we only discovered 80% of them. Cafe has very nice food. The only complaint is their maps layout of the sculptures just a dot so we could only guess the names. If they number them it will helps.

Very varied collections of modern sculpture spread out in a 500-acre estate and galleries. Best in fair weather, as there is quite a lot of walking required to experience many of the pieces. Nice cafe in the visitor centre.

Large scale art works in huge parklands are a breath of fresh air. Short and long walks are accessible with a pram. Soul-nourishing views of rolling hills, many trees of different varieties and a peaceful lake make this a favourite place to visit. We had a picnic and walked another route by the lake that was new to me. A hefty climb back up the hill to the gallery and car park but plenty of moments to stop and admire the view. Current show (see photos) is of the work by Joana Vasconcelos. A great day out.

This park is just amazing... it's a huge park with more than 80 pieces of all kinds of unique sculptures/statues. A lot of beautifully crafted, and created pieces of art! Each piece depicting their own unique visual designs, and a small portion of history about it. Total time needed to fully expore whole park is about 3hours straight. I could easily, and highly recommend this beautiful and unique park. Ticket prices is not that big only 6 pounds for one adult, but for sure worth it. It's good for families, and friends alike. So yeah my verdict is - 9/10.

We really enjoyed the sculptures and the ground the only criticism I'd have is it could be better sign posted with clearer direction to the exhibits we saw many but also missed out on some of the artworks 7-10 and update the Website I called the park to see if we had to pre book parking the park says its free only paying for the parking which was supposed to be around £7 which we were happy to pay but when we got there we were charged £6 per adult (under 16 FREE) but was still an enjoyable afternoon out

  • 5/5 Douglas S. 2 years ago on Google
Not expensive and there is a lot to look at. A great place for a walk around the woods, fields, and lakes - even of the art and sculpture isn't your thing. A good place to enjoy lunch out in the open. Plenty of benches and places to sit.

  • 5/5 Lorene B. 2 years ago on Google
Great day out! We were there for 5ish hours and probably didn’t even see half! We didn’t cross the river and didn’t spend to long at each sculpture. So much to see! The signage is great. The on site cafes were pricey but you sure work up an appetite! The main entrance building is lovely, modern and has a large gift shop.

If you are an art lover this is the sculpture paradise not to be missed when you are in UK. From Leeds not far from the central train station, take bus number 108 and goes directly to the park. That is the information missing in the train station. What a pity! This time besides permanent & some new added pieces I enjoyed Roberto Indiana exhibition very much.

  • 5/5 Mrudula S. 1 year ago on Google
Great place for a day out. Need a whole day to see and walk around the park. We only saw half of the park as we reached there in the afternoon. Restaurant is there in the Arcadia and there’s facility for breast feeding and siblings can also spend time with toys and books kept in that room. I should go again to see the rest of the sculptures.

  • 4/5 Robin R. 1 year ago on Google
An absolutely amazing location to visit. As the wild life nonchalantly wanders around ignoring the sculptures you can marvel at the inspiring art on display. The temporary displays are always worth exploring too. You might even be lucky to see some truly wild creatures as you explore the landscape. Definitely a place to return to!

  • 5/5 Joanne P. 10 months ago on Google
Fantastic place, lovely walks in the grounds. Sculptures have changed since we last visited, 2 years ago, so nice to find lots of new ones. Great if you take your own sandwiches or picnic, you can stop anywhere. There are two cafes but very overpriced, a small pork pie was £4.25 🙄 which I think is a lot. Large coffee ( more like a regular) £4. We've been lucky the weather has been great on days we've visited. Last week we walked about 9 miles in total around the grounds. Two lakes and scenery very picturesque. You have to buy tickets online before entry, £9 adult, £6 concession, includes your car parking. Would highly recommend a visit. 🥰😘 xxx

Our experience was lovely. We went there with a few family and friends for dry picnic. Place: I think the place is awesome. A lot of Greenery and beautiful sculpture . It is better to visit in summer as you can stay outside. I would recommend allocating spending 5-6 hours. There is a lake too. There is a entry fee so please check the website before you go. You would need to show your ticket at the entrance so have it handy. Parking: There is enough parking space. There are 3 car parks and are quite nearby. Restroom and cafe: there are restrooms and cafe for coffee and food. Overall: It is a good place to visit especially in summer. Would recommend going here.

Yorkshire Sculpture park was an absolute dream, a really lovely place to make memories and enjoy a beautiful wholesome day outside. Spotted immense amounts of wildlife and stumbled across some very lovely cows. My particular highlights were the wild flower garden with the round birch tree shelter and the rose arch next to an ancient yew tree. Had the most divine day out, plenty to explore and see. The sculptures and installations are dotted about everywhere but I was pleasantly surprised to see such a variety of nature. Lakes, woods, wildflower meadows and much more. 10/10 best day out ✨

  • 4/5 Helen Z. 10 months ago on Google
Lovely day out with family on a summers day! Nice grounds with sculptures around the lake too and an indoor museum! Would benefit from having names of pieces on the stands as it was unclear which work was which at times! Easy to get too as just off the motorway. Purchase tickets in advance.

Fantastic venue, the scale is staggering. Allow at least a full day if you want to see all of the sculptures. Visitor centre very good firs floor viewing platform with restaurant. Gift shop with thoughtful and creative gifts. Take some sturdy shoes some of the exhibits need quite a climb.

Spent the most magical 1/2 day here. I'd booked with TravelZoo which included a full breakfast. The veggie breakfast, service (except at the till) and choice of food was really good - surprising especially cus we asked the ticket barrier dude about the food and he replied, "Reasonable " (?!). We saw 3 or 4 exhibitions- the oversized sculptures (apocalypse style) impressed, but the vocal lights one didn't live upto its magical promise; a beautiful Chapel venue nonetheless. Take a flask with you, and enjoy the Deer Enclosure and its heated seats in cold weather. Sat there for an hour enjoying the sky window.

An excellent day out for all the family, you can walk and wander as much as you feel like over the extensive ground with art and installations around every corner. My personal favourite has always been the underground gallery as no matter what the weather or light conditions it's always like an indoor gallery outside 😁 Definitely would a visit if you like art or not as it's just lovely countryside either way

If you want to spend 3-4 hours, you can visit this place. Nice sculptures are there. It should be great, if we have more colourful sculptures. Vast area and can enjoy lake side walking. Make sure you put right shoes as most of the places are wet around Lake.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is the leading international centre for modern and contemporary sculpture, set within the 500-acre, 18th-century Bretton Hall estate in West Yorkshire. Founded in 1977, YSP was the first sculpture park in the UK, and is the largest of its kind in Europe, providing the only place in Europe to see Barbara Hepworth’s The Family of Man in its entirety alongside a significant collection of sculpture, including bronzes by Henry Moore, and site-specific works by Andy Goldsworthy, David Nash and James Turrell.

They are currently charging a flat rate of £6 a person for admission. I thought this was a bit of a con considering I am carer, supporting someone with special needs that had a blue badge with them. Normally I would have gone elsewhere, but the individual I was supporting had his heart set on YSP so I had to pay the £12 total. It's been a while since I visited YPS, but I'm sure last time I didn't have to pay as a blue badge holder or at least a considerably reduced rate ? Don't get me wrong it's still an awesome park, and the sculptures and scenery are first class, but the admission charges spoilt the occasion for me and I won't be returning until they are changed.

Awesome exhibits in a lovely countryside location! Really nice outdoor gallery with rolling countryside amongst the different installations. Would recommend a map or to download their app so you can see as much as possible without retracing your steps! And would also recommend stopping at the cafe and a hat and scarf in winter, very open and exposed! Parking had a crazy line up so we parked nearby and walked in, much easier! Even open in Covid times and very safe and socially distant!

It's worth the entry price as it's huge and there's lots to see. Contradictory info about parking (signs about number plate scanning when site says that it's included in the ticket that you have to present to even enter the car park) caused a bit of confusion but the walk and exhibits were delightful.

Yorkshire sculpture Park is a fantastic place but there is not enough signage or customer information located in the grounds.i visited today to look for the Walk of Art.It is really poorly signposted and I had to ask at the enquiry desk where the most recent part of the walk was, which was right at the far end of the park.

This place is fantastic - plus it was the Winter - so imagine how lovely this park must be in the summer? So much space.

Great visit and views but it is in winter mode at the moment with several exhibits not available as it is in transition. Great for social distanced walking.

There always seems to be something new to discover at YSP. A great place to take the family too.

Just an absolutely beautiful place, lucky to live so close to it. Even though the inside isn’t open at the moment the outdoor space is still amazing to walk around.
