I cannot remember visiting this place but I have been asked to review it regardless. I assume it's nice, the photographs don't seem to show anything catastrophic, so I will rate it highly. Edit: oh yes I remember now, I needed to find a toilet to use after I had been wandering round Romford for a few hours waiting for my mother at the hospital, so I went into the shopping centre. The toilets were functional and sufficient for my needs.

Great shopping mall. Loads of shops with great discount on items or just great prices generally. It links to the Liberty Mall and to ASDA. Will post some photos next time.

Won't come back due to the ridiculous under maintained and backwardly dated car park. Asda and large companies should take the private operator of the car park to the cleaners

I went with a friend. We had pie mash before we came into the centre. Then we had a cup of tea at McDonald's. Afterwards we went to the cinema to see a film. Altogether we had a good time.

I went for bath bomb making, on 2nd floor. Had a lot of fun. Mercury is always a pleasant side of the shopping centre

Getting worse with less and less high street names.

Nice spacious shopping centre. Parking available at a small fee. A good range of high street shops and the mall is very clean. It doesn't get too busy so easy to walk around and push a pram. Positive experience everytime I've been there.

My favourite shops are in here. Nice and clean and bright. One star less as only one lift working and I'm on a mobility scooter. Had to queue.

It's romford, what more do you need to know, full of rude people but that's not Mercury's fault

Came here to see Father Christmas. His on the ground floor , between the escalators, below Asda. A Brilliant team made it so worth the trip. Professional quality pictures too and you don't have to book. Highly recommended 👌

Never returning to this god forsaken shopping centre. The car park is a nightmare, seems ridiculous in this day and age how difficult they make it to pay cashless for parking. Went to at least 5 machines all with the same sign before waiting in the rain to pay

Again good selection of shops and lots of toilet facilities disable access which is great

Have been looking for castor oil everywhere and haven't been able to find it. However, I found it here in asda! There is ample parking available. However, the car park is cash only, which can be quite frustrating! The centre was quiet and there were few people around in the evening. Sometimes, it can be incredibly busy! Especially on the weekends.

Staring to look a bit aged now, but is clean and does have many handy shops such as a pound store, wilko, card stores, cex as well as multiple clothes shops. Has a cinema and Mecca bingo Hall upstairs, which are both regularly busy

The Centre is ok/good and there quite a few shops inside; to mention a few, ASDA, Wilko, MacDonald, Poundland, Subway, Premiere Cinema, and many others. I was dropping off my child to cinema and took the opportunity to buy few things. The entrance for pedestrian is minutes away by walk from Liberty car park and pedestrian area leading to the Brewery Shopping Centre and Romford Train Station. The access for cars is on the side of building and is ok (wide enough). Parking is ok. - If you park on the floor where you arrive with your vehicle, it will lead you to Wilko (2nd level). - if you arrive as a pedestrian, you will arrive on 1st level. Shops are ok and as expected. Staff are professional and very nice. Staff on payment tills are very nice and helpful. So in general, I was very happy with the Mall Shopping Centre environment. It looked all clean (I did not visit any toilets so I cannot comment on this) Improvements suggestion: (1) I think however, the car park payment machines need full upgrade. At the time of my visit, many machines were faulty. They did not take card or notes. We had to have coins. Thankfully a great gentleman (member of staff car park team) came to look at the payment machine on car park outside Wilko and repaired and he helped all us being able to pay. So a big thank you to this gentleman, who was really helpful. But these Pay Machines need investments and improving. (2) Exit from car: it is a long way, all around the Mall to the outside and further around. It is well signed but on the slop down the person in front of me took the line of right which is a dead end on steep hill. I could see the person after having to reverse with difficulty. This line should be closed to prevent this issue.

Centre is OK with small selection of stores Is let down by being unable to pay by card on parking payment machines which are cash only. You are able to pay by card on top floor in kiosk with parking team

  • 5/5 Rajendra S. 11 months ago on Google
Parking is free on Sundays and can be validated at Asda if shopping there. There's good shopping options.

  • 3/5 Kev T. 11 months ago on Google
A good option of shops with even more on the highstreet & inside the market. Parking isn't too bad either, always able to find a parking space when needed.

Placeis clean typical high street shops with easy parking. Could do with a little more colour and seating areas

  • 4/5 Ray o. 2 years ago on Google
Good selection of shops, very clean and 24hr security. Adequate parking but as mentioned in many other posts, I don't agree paying for parking when using a local shopping centre or there should be a way of reclaiming when using certain shops well possibly even all shops

  • 4/5 Paramjit K. 1 year ago on Google

Great range of shops. Very few empty shop units. Undercover. Lots of places to eat. Really good Asda and Wilko's. I would recommend going about 9am Monday to Saturday as it is empty then. Busy all day on Sundays.

My go to shopping mall in Romford.Although some shops has closed down as a result of the pandemic but new ones are opening. I am still very much ok with the likes of River Island,H&M,M&S,Newlook ,JD Sport,Primark and a few others. However it will be nice to have Zara here too,its about time. Toilet are there Chocolate shop Cake store Toy store Beauty shop Boots cinema and many more. You can park in its car park on Mondays,Tuesday &Thursday but make sure you come with you coins as Machine will not dispense change for you. The rest of the day are not free for parking as its used for open market. Except you park in the car park story building or go to brewery.

Shops are just adequate, nothing special. But if you need a snack or food then there are some good fast food restaurants. Plus bingo if you are a fan.

Always spotlessly clean, tonnes of great shops and food outlets, more than enough cheap and easy parking. The perfect place to start if you want to shop in Romford. Much better than the liberty car park. Highly recommended +++++

This is one the Shopping centre around Romford. It is home to several shopping franchises such as Asda, Pound land etc. Also there is a cinema if you want to enjoy movie in a cinematic experience. The toilets are regularly cleaned and its very spacious. Pop in and you will find almost all you need under one roof.

  • 3/5 James D. 2 years ago on Google
It's a shopping mall. If contains a number of shops split over 2 floors, with Asda occupying the largest area. Other than that, the shops are mostly small retail outlets.

  • 5/5 Khan G. 2 years ago on Google
Great shopping centre.Free 2hr parking when shop in asda for £5 but don't forget to ask Asda to refund you parking charges. The ride on kids cars are amazing. My kids love it .

  • 3/5 Andy B. 1 year ago on Google
Quite a few empty units, some have changed names and estate boards not updated. Not very clear car park entrance from Western Road predominately marked Asda and only accessible if heading AWAY from the town centre/ ring road, impossible to access if heading towards the town centre. Affordable car parking at £1.20 for 1 hour compared to Chelmsford at £2.00 for first hour.

A nice area of traditional shops that are normally found in a shopping Centre. Asda McDonalds among them, along with a few scattered stalls en route. Coffee shops, and good clean public loos on ground floor behind kidz play area. Car park and buses nearby. 👍😊

Lots of parking spaces especially for disabled people, it's always clean or being cleaned , good variety of shops, it's always busy which is a good sign, toilets are generally kept clean and up to date, its disabled friendly with a few mobility scooters which is lovely to see they are catering for disabled people, plus the shops are easy to get to and to enter for mums with push chairs and wheelchair people. I prefer to go round here then Romford market, which you can easily access through the shopping centre. My only complaint is there are not enough cash machines, there is one at Wilko's and Asda but if your Primark or M & S way you can't find one . ( Well I can't )

  • 5/5 Sharon T. 1 year ago on Google
Visited BBs coffee and muffins on the first floor. Used to take my Mum there, first time back since she passed away. I went with a friend. The young woman serving was smiley and friendly. Had a smoothie and a toastie. Both were yummy! I didn't have one but as always, the muffins look delicious.

I've been there when was really busy, but I had a good time. Place was clean, different shops everywhere, useful place for relaxing on a Sunday 👍

  • 4/5 Andrew J. 1 year ago on Google
Well laid out, escalators and lift to upper level which is good as I'm partially disabled. Goid variety of shops and places to eat.

  • 5/5 E C. 1 year ago on Google
You find almost everything at Mercury. Visit the side lanes to find seatable places to eat as central area is limited to coffee places, cakes or bubble tea. Only place to eat on ground floor is Mexican. There is an open bakery you must visit, order a pie, they taste very nice. You can't sit though. Upstairs you have Mcdonald and other places to eat such as Subway and two/three cafè which are average.

It's nice and clean. Plenty of shops. Parking on site and right next to Romford. Easy to get to by bus or train if you don't have a car

  • 5/5 Francis A. 2 years ago on Google
Well run shopping complex to visit in the heart of Romford. 3 floors of amazing shopping outlets ranging from groceries, clothing, shoes and all you want in shopping.

  • 1/5 Ray R. 1 year ago on Google
Terrible run down car park, such narrow entrance and exit perfect for bashing your wheels into even if being you are being very careful. Narrow parking spaces, dimly lit. Car park machines don't accept cards, cash only...what on earth? I got trapped inside as I only had a card. I didn't have cash and couldn't get out. Do yourself a favour and use the brewery car park instead. Shopping centre itself isn't that bad but I won't going there ever again because of the car park.

  • 5/5 Sub L. 1 year ago on Google
The shopping centre is decent. It hosts many big shopping stores and resturants. Also, small local businesses. If you are looking for something, chances are you will probably find it here if not, Liberty shopping centre is just nearby!

  • 4/5 Waikup 1 year ago on Google
It's okay, always thought it was called the liberty. Got a good mix of stores, not bad for lunch. Parking is plenty, even during the run up to Xmas.

  • 3/5 phil j. 2 years ago on Google
Has a good range of shops and is always clean and enjoyable to walk around. The only issue with this Centre is, they only take cash for the parking, which is near Asda. Very inconvenient and not very up to the times with contactless payments. It has put me off parking here and now tend to walk through the Liberty instead to get to the Mercury. Such an easy and simple fix would make it more enjoyable for others. However, when shopping there always a great experience and will continue to use it.

  • 5/5 Shamim A. 1 year ago on Google
This connects onto the Liberty shopping mall in Romford. The mercury is nice, it's has more independent small shops compared to the liberty mall. Cinema on the top floor aswell.

  • 1/5 Paul S. 1 year ago on Google
... not a positive experience, the meal ordered was awful. The eateries and shops definitely not inclusive to ALL. A targeted customer profile so obvious.

  • 5/5 Naveen P. 2 years ago on Google
Great selection of shops for day to day needs. Some bargains to be found in the independent shops on ground floor.

  • 5/5 K.R. O. 11 months ago on Google
Has a whole lot of shops books, clothes etc. Its also linked to the liberty mall. I am not absolutely certain where one mall ends and the other begins(that's not a baf thing). Most of the shops close around 5 so you best do your shopping earlier.

  • 5/5 It's M. 1 year ago on Google
Good local shopping center. You can find here everything- from place to have a coffee, luch or dinner, you can go to cinema with your friends, hairdresser salon, o just a shopping for yourself or your family.

  • 4/5 Jack . 1 year ago on Google
Nice one. Small shops. Has a few shops that are still open. Unlike Westfield's Stratford have shut quite a few like Next!! Everything seems to be going online instead. Not practical for me as I'm not the usual sizes or young!!!
