Bao bao bar is a great place to try taiwanese whiskey and beer. They have a great selection of different types of whisky (all Kavalan which has won the award for the World's Best whisky two year in a row). They also have bao buns which are also very good. The place is small but very modern and elegant and Robert, bartender and owner, is super nice and enthusiastic about his selection of whisky.

I saw a signboard for KAVALAN, a famous Taiwanese liquor, and entered. You can drink cheaper than in Taipei! And it's still delicious. I received fino sherry, which is rising in price in Japan, at a bargain price. I'm satisfied!

After drinking Japanese whisky for two weeks, I had encountered Kavalan whisky in a few restaurants, but hadn’t tried it. I decided to come here because it had a nice, clean, contemporary look with their whiskies on prominent display. I tried the Podium single malt and the Oloroso sherry cask, which were delicious. They were very knowledgeable and provided great information about the drinks. Even helped me with my Japanese and Mandarin!

The Bao is amazing even surpasses the original Bao in Taiwan. Health, fresh and with a very soft texture! Getting tired of Japanese food everyday?
