I don’t know how to say this nicely, but Bob and Edith’s is not that good. But I want to be nice about it, because Bob and Edith’s has amazing vibes and I love it there. The milkshake was the best thing I had, followed by the fries. My husband had the B and E burger and said it was fine. But the service was great and the food was cheap and filling. They also gave us the extra milkshake, which was a lot. Very generous and yummy.

Tried this place out for the first time while visiting family in DC. Safe to say it’s a solid spot to grab some breakfast. It’s a classic looking diner with lots of history and multiple locations. It was busy but service was fast, and you seat yourself. The food looked and tasted great. I got the two eggs over easy with bacon, home fries, and toast. I could’ve done with a bit less grease on the plate but that’s usually expected for diner-style breakfast. The price was very comparable with diner food: always on the cheaper end. I’d definitely go again so be sure to try it out!

Bob and Edith's is a busy restaurant on a Sunday morning at 12 a.m. I had two large french toast slices drenched in cinnamon and butter with four turkey sausage links. I didn't finish the french toast, but it was good. The prices are reasonable too!

Diners just have an energy and vibe about them that is unparalleled, and Bob and Edith's is no exception - if not even better! It's always full of patrons and they crammed as many tables as they can into them. It's such a bustling place - you feel part of the local community eating at Bob and Edith's. Not to mention the food! What great diner food. I got the country-fried steak with gravy on top and it was divine!! I love me a good set of hash browns and steak. My only regret is that I got rye bread instead of white bread. Silly me.

You like a good dinner? This place is great! The original location had the feel and quaintness. Staff is friendly and smiles. The burgers we're cooked right, juicy, and buns were fresh. Fried looked to be cut that morning, skin on. Homefries were great! Apple pie was warm and flaky, not gummy like some places. I'd come here again and again.

Just a lovely greasy spoon diner! They’ve really been stepping up their game coming out of the pandemic. Service is friendly, food is consistently well cooked, and you won’t wait long for anything. Jose B was our waiter today and like the rest of his colleagues did an awesome job. If you want a hearty breakfast and endless coffee come here. I really dig the community vibes and strong family employee culture they have going on at all their locations. Really hope they can eventually expand into DC so we can have some reliable diner food options downtown.

Very retro feel, non-fussy diner experience with a very homely staff! Seems to be a local favourite.

I still think this place can improve. However, I won't deny that the food is welcome though maybe a bit overpriced. However, the service makes things worth it. May is wonderful and I hope to see her again, and honestly, it's a 24 hour diner. Be glad you're getting food.

Food was good - totally respectable diner food. The pancakes were especially delicious. But such an awesome, low key, unpretentious, authentic vibe. This place just feels real and special. Love it!

I used to eat here all the time in the 90s and it was the quintessential diner food and experience. I loved it. I don't think the management is that same however and it shows. The service is good, they were very attentive. The atmosphere hasn't changed its a diner after all. But the food is not very good even by diner standards. Just goes to prove that not all good things last.

Local, small, 24 hour diner in Virginia close to DC. Super friendly staff, food was as expected, and it’s a neighborhood staple since 1969. Oh, countertop option or booth for four people. Easy parking.

Great small diner with great value specials and very fast service and food delivery. Exactly what I want from a local diner. I’ll always pick a quick and quality local diner like this over a chain any day. Wish there was a great local breakfast diner like this near me in Vienna. Cool that it’s 24/7 too.
