Nice place for walkers, jogers and for cycling. Needs to be maintained regularly.

The widest free area available in Shivamogga surrounded by the trees which produces fresh air. The only wide place available in Shivamogga for cultural activities, exhibitions and other commercial activities.

Spacious open park with sufficient two wheeler, four wheeler parking, near walking path of nearly 1 kilometre stretch, people play football, cricket, shuttle badminton, kite, volleyball and relax on the benches both inside and out. A real hangout place for fitness freaks. The murals on the compound wall outside are a tribute to Sir M.Visvesvaraya, jnanapeeta laureate Kuempu, All the Jnanapeeta Award winners of Karnataka, Shivappa Nayaka and Keladi ka ngs contribution, Vachanakaras of Karnataka, Shivamogga Smart City concept, Progress of science, technology and space science in India etc. A real experience not to be missed

Best place to walk, jogging, playing.,ect

This is an excellent place for a walk, jog in the town. The pavement for walking is well laid out and covers a distance of 800-900 meters in one round. As the place is surrounded by small plantations one gets good breeze from all over. There are places to sit and take a break and the place is well lit and with people around making it safe to go even at evening time. Only flip side is that lights on one side of the walking track are always not working and it’s quite dark for a limited stretch of track.

Experience at Shimoga Dasara was too good

A MUST visit Huge Park . Two Gates at the front side. Washrooms is at Right side of the Parking Area. Strong and Dynamic Track for Walking & Jogging. Stage is very huge. Some of the Events happening here are - Shivamogga Dasara Cultural Events followed by Banni Program on Vijaya Dashami, Gruha Shobhe, Crackers Selling ( from 2023 ) , Cultural events on some occasions.. #NammaShivamogga

Good place for Morning & Evening walk. Big ground to play Cricket 🏏

Swadeshi Mela held there was excellent. Such melas frequently will definitely bring mindset changes for videshi products.

Best place to evening walking & play some game but its not maintained well

Now it's a popular place for joggers, walkers, chit chatting, playing etc. Lighting is ok.

Good for hangouts regardless of age group, good for evening and early morning walks, it's maintained very well. Better to keep the public toilet open instead of keeping it locked.

This is a 12+ acres, very well planned public place where one can walk around, do yoga, etc. Well connected to the main road as it is in the ring road.

It was not a Jail now, an empty place where in many functions will happen like Exibitions, Expo, Fun games etc,

Decent place for a walk. But not when the sun is out cause there are hardly any places where you can sit in shades.

Not properly maintained by Shivamogga City Corporation. Plastic, broken beer bottle pieces all over the place. Not adequate chairs, benches provided to morning and evening walkers. Absolute no cleaning of the park by corporation. Plastic,Waste paper, and waste plants all over the place. Not visited by councilor, other officials of the concerned.

Good collection of antiques and lots of effort has been made to show case them.. Definitely must visit place.

Exhibition was good. Very much crowded. Because of the crowds we couldn’t enter many stalls.didn’t feel safe place for family.

This park is very spacious and clean. You can play cricket and other outdoor sports without any restrictions. You can also ride bicycles here. In the centre of town yet close to nature. Perfect for morning and evening walks. There are no open gym equipments like other parks in Shivamogga here.

My past working place and also memorable place.

Place is good for recreational activities like walking, jogging & outdoor activities like cricket, football. Biggest drawback is that, the Rest rooms are not well maintained, last time when I visited the door was broken. And often these restrooms are locked. It is indeed very difficult for senior citizens, especially for girls & ladies.

It's is the wonderful place to visit it has huge walk way for walking... And a big play area for playing games and also nice to spends time with friends and family...

Very good place to walk... Only thing washrooms not accessible. Always observed it closed all the time. It would have good if drinking water facility provided..
