Nice little beach , this was at low tide and there's no water apart from the kids pool. You have to get past sharp shells and shingle to get to the sand. Highly recommend beach shoes especially for kids. When the tide comes in, it's very fast. It's better to set up camp up on the grass if you have kids, rather than down on the beach as you'll have to move. There were guards doing the rounds advising people to move. There is no shade, no trees, bring an umbrella or mini pop up tent. The facilities let it down, the toilets were shocking. It would be nice to have an outside shower to rinse off and wash feet. Plenty of parking at a reasonable fee, disabled parking is free. There's a mobile snack bar and a few minutes walk away is a beach shop, bakery and local corner shop. All in all, quite a nice beach and the water was quite warm and clean, not too much seaweed.

Nice place with no crowds, not even on the sunny day we visited. Lots of sea and sand and not much else. Great if you don't need to be entertained and you want a little peace. A small shop and toilets adequate. Close to Shoeburyness train station.

This places is really nice for a little get away just to unwind and watch the sea in the nice hot sun. You can use the area to have fun on like playing football or volleyball (make sure you don’t kick down towards the ocean). There are fixed BBQ where you can make your own food or from what I can remember you can bring your own and cook it on the bank. Lovely little get away.

One of the best places to do BBQ at beach in essex. Very economical parking fee and bbq area is right in front of the parking. Clean toilets nearby and other basic amenities. A great place for picnic in summer. Irfan Level 7 guide Insta: irfanstraveldiary

Calm place to go and chill...families, friends, couples and single people were all enjoying the views and beach. Great toilet facilities and lots of benches to sit on for people who can't manage walking on sand. Ample disabled parking.

Do NOT go here to swim, my foot got scratched and cut up more than I can count and it was all mainly inside the water itself, because of the tides it is extremely bipolar with it's deepness and temperature so that'll be hard to relax or have fun in, I saw a jelly fish just floating on the surface, seaweed comes in waves so good luck swimming for a prolonged period of time, the water is extremely brown to the point i question if i was going to get a brain eating amoeba any second now. It's just not the best place to swim in, however for water related activities its perfect.

The water is very clear and peaceful when the tide is going out. Safe for kids and good conditions for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding etc. There are toilet facilities. However there are no food or drink kiosks so you have to prepare your own but plenty of picnic tables and bbq facilities also.

This place is better than Southend it is cleaner and quieter and less crowded if you want to go swimming you need to wait between 3-4pm and there is no stairs down the beach. The toilets are close by. This is racked best beach in soulthend.

It's the perfect place for barbecue, lots of green space next to the beach, lots of parking available. Β£1 an hour is very reasonable. Only down side is the beach itself, very rocky, only bit of sand. water goes away in low tides. however, its a good walk on the flat surface for miles into the sea. Theres a sea water pool to swim in, toilets available, few shops down the road and few burger vans. Would go again.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a breathtaking beach that left me absolutely enchanted. This pristine coastal paradise exceeded all my expectations, and I cannot stop raving about its beauty and serenity. From the moment I set foot on its soft, powdery sands, I felt an immediate sense of tranquility wash over me. The first thing that struck me was the beach's crystal-clear turquoise waters. The gentle waves rolled onto the shore, inviting me to dive in and experience the refreshing embrace of the sea. The beach was well-maintained, with immaculate sands that stretched for miles, making it a perfect spot for long walks and leisurely strolls. The picturesque scenery was further enhanced by the lush greenery surrounding the beach. Palm trees swayed gently in the ocean breeze, providing shade and a tropical ambiance. I found myself basking in the sun, mesmerized by the stunning vista before me. What truly set this beach apart was its peaceful atmosphere. Unlike crowded tourist destinations, this hidden gem offered a blissful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The absence of large crowds allowed me to fully immerse myself in the natural surroundings, finding solace in the gentle sounds of the waves and the occasional seagull's cry. The amenities provided were also top-notch. Clean restroom facilities, conveniently located food stalls offering a variety of tasty snacks, and well-maintained picnic areas made for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. In summary, this beach is a true paradise for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts alike. Its breathtaking beauty, tranquil atmosphere, and excellent facilities make it an ideal destination for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend visiting this beach to experience its magic firsthand and create unforgettable memories. Just joking

We regularly visit this beach during the course of the year & it is always nice & relaxing. Sometimes its very busy but that's to be expected for a local beach. It's also nice to visit at sunset & later in the evening, where it is very quiet & the stars are all out.

The tide was really low so we could walk quite far into the sea though still not far enough in order to see the Red Sand Fort. Nevertheless, it was a great day but a little windy though. Luckily I had my Wellington boots in the boot as the sand is a bit wet with a few big puddles. Beautiful nature :) should be coming back to see the Fort by a boat.

Used to love coming down to east beach and having a bbq. Went this afternoon to find out now no bbqs are allowed. Council ruining everyone’s enjoyment as per usual.

Outstanding scenario with clean and clamming weather near the Beach! Alhamdulillah we've enjoyed a lot specially the adjacent Gunners Park is awesome.

Nice beach, quiet with sand and rocks. Great for kids. And it faces the sea rather than being part of the Thames estuary which meant the water might have been slightly cleaner..

A great place for a dog walk when the tide is out especially if you dog loves water as much as mine. It has channels running through it so there's always a certain amount of knee deep water there. If it's blowing a Gail you can walk round towards Southend and watch the kite surfing, it's a purfway to blow the Christmas cobwebs out.. Just please be aware of the months you are allowed to take your dogs on the beach

Idea place for families to have fun. Less busy and the open spaces to play sports is just great. No forgetting the bbq area where you can carry your drum and entertain friends. Parking charge of Β£1 an hour is the most reasonable one can get .

The place offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the day for those with families. Very clean place, plenty with playground. Plenty parking place alongside (beach) the area. The only reason that is making me unhappy is that you can’t jump and enjoy waves, swim and more you have to walk maybe more than half mile to go close to the seaside because the water overflows just later. Is important to have beach shoes, sandals if you want to walk down close to the water.

Lovely place to visit for a picnic, you can bbq there which is rare to find. The atmosphere was nice. Parking is cheap with plenty of space. We paid Β£0.70 for each hour parked there.
