The restaurant setup was great. Have live fishes also. Good place for having seafood items. Went with family and friends. Seafood meals was a little pricey but tasty. Butter Naan and butter chicken was great but had 3 chicken pieces only. The special seafood kebab was little bland but the mint chutney added some taste.

To start, we ordered the seafood platter, which was a beautiful assortment of succulent shrimp, perfectly grilled, tender calamari, and sweet, juicy crab legs. We went there on a Saturday night and the waiting time was 40-50 minutes for this place.. we decided to wait because of the hype we heard about this place. We wanted to enjoy some sea food there. So like everyone, once we got a table, we rushed to the table and placed our order. We ordered squid tawa fry and fish cutlet, Since they said these two were on today's special menu. To our dismay, the fish cutlet was so bad.. and the squid was like plastic. Dono if it was reheated . Wasn't fresh at all. We also ordered several other items and we dint want to wait to get disappointed again. So we cancelled the rest of the order. And we started from there immediately.. Would never recommend this place to any sea food lovers.

Mixed experience. The live fish is an excitement, but the time which they took to cook it was not something convincing. There was a frozen lobster and live lobster we ordered and both became ready in a jiffy. The taste was good. Prices were very high and the service was good. The ambiance was also ok.

This is on the ECR on the way to Covelong . Just 2kms from iskcon temple. Food is good, but I feel bit costly. Sea food lovers can try this restraunt. Ambience is really good. You u can choose the live sea foods, which will be cooked and served for you.

Excellent place to hangout with kids and family. You will find many varieties of fish and you can also choose your fresh fish varieties to be cooked. Also found some photo frames to take beautiful family pic's. We tried butter garlic squid, tandoori fish varieties. All tasted yummy.. got some new taste dishes as well. Overall had a great evening at Thoondil after swimming in kovalam.

Visited this place for lunch after a meeting, their place is a site to visit. Took a walk through the entire place, they had live fish tank on the left as you enter and they have these huts made for dining in and they also have a large party hall that can hold around 100 people for any event or parties. Their food was okay, the ambience was great and the staffs were responsive. They have 4 pet ducks roaming around inside the place which was fun to play with. They really put time into crafting the place, being on the East Coast Road, it's a very good location if you're passing by the city for a decent seafood lunch or dinner. Tried their Prawn Tikka Masala with Naan, that was really good. Their fish curry with rice, the fish curry was muaahh!!! On the dot. And the tawa fish was okay. Overall good experience!

The cost is very high for all the products and the quantity was also very limited and top of the arrogance was the limited non-veg meals which is costing Rs.380 per meal which is completely not acceptable at all. The good things are the taste and the ambiance of the restaurant.

A very rushed restaurant on the weekend days. The ambiance and atmosphere look good compared to the other AC closed restaurants. Customer service needs to improve and parking spaces are not enough. A lot of varieties of dishes are available where you can order live fish too.

I loved the ambience here, with a village like set-up, natural bird sounds being played and almost separated seating arrangements. Good to come with family and friends for a good hearty lunch/dinner. A little costly, with approx ₹1000 for two. Visit for a good experience.. Vegetarian food also good, although the highlight is chicken and seafood.

The sea food was good. Me and my friends enjoyed it. Mainly the fresh fish fry was really good and tasty. Definitely one must try when you cross this place. The ambience was really cool with birds chirping sounds and they had rabbits and chickens alive there. No one wasted the food and it was sufficient for us.

Authentic Sea food restaurant. The ambience was good. The service took sometime considering the crowd. They had live counter for crab and lobster. We tried, Nandu Rasam - able to smell crab all through the soup Fish Manchurian - Good and fresh fish Squid 65 - awesome, crispy Seafood Fried Rice - subtle Special Fish Biryani - great The parking is in the adjacent street and waiting time on weekend was close to 30 mins. A tad bit costly for the quality but a must try once restaurant. Cost for 2: Rs. 800

Ambience was so cool here, with Roofs on our top, ducks roaming around. It was a treat for us after roaming around on a blazing sunny day. Food tasted delicious, tried chinese pot rice and the usual naan. Would recommend for a lil escape from scorching sun.

Good ambience and service. They have a live counter for fresh seafood of your personal choice. We tried their butter squid, prawns, reshmi kebab, chicken roast, fried rice. The chicken roast and freid rice is not recommended, all the other dishes were really good. The pricing of the dishes is a bit on the higher side but worth it.

Great atmosphere with small huts. Service is good. This place is good for seafood as starters. Tiger prawn tawa fry was the hero dish that we had. Squid with butter garlic sauce was equally good. The seasoning was great. However fish 65 wasn't great, there was no flavour in it. Also seafood fried rice didn't have the flavors and it had more eggs than seafood. Nandu rasam was good. On the chicken side we tried butter chicken which was too sweet. On the veg side hariyali paneer was good. Mushroom gravy was nice and spicy. A good place to go as a group for sure!

My parents and my 2 Sisters, along with their families, celebrated my nephew's Birthday here couple months ago, and really liked the food. So visited here, on their recommendation. Food wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Some of dishes were really good whereas the Biryani was way too oily to really enjoy. Ambience was really good though, and the Staff were polite and efficient. It's an above average restaurant on ECR.

Food is not worth the hype. Most of the live menu is available only seasonally so, prepare to be disappointed. Taste-wise it's average and cost is also mostly on the ₹.300-400 range for every dish. Quantities will be good enough for two people. The atmosphere is very pleasant, entire restaurant is under the shade of trees and there are pet rabbits and fish which will keep the kids entertained. Tables are available for larger and smaller groups but mostly people were waiting for tables. Street Parking is available outside the restaurant.

Please don't over order. lol. You will struggle to finish what you ordered. The food was filling and yum. They have almost everything you need in sea food. The hut setup made us feel comfortable and they have 2 pet dogs kept in a cage near the washroom. Ordered fish thali, fish biriyani, crab curry, prawn fry, squid 65, full fish tawa fry and on the side, you can ask for coke or goli soda.

Not at all Happy.. We ordered most of the starters and except crab lollypop and fish finger nothing was good. Chicken lollypop was ok. Non of the squid and prawn starters were good. Main course also the same. Ghee rice and fish curry special fish biriyani were good. Dishes to avoid: puket fish, prawn masala, crab masala, fish tawa fry.

It's a great place for family party .... Food also taste good. Recommended able place in Chennai.... You will get a village vibes inside the restaurant which attracts me. price is also reasonable

Ambience and location were good. Food was terrible. Prawns didn't taste like Prawns. Fish didn't taste like fish. Even mint chutney wasn't like mint at all. Cost was exorbitant for the food offered. Quantity was too less. They don't even know what is fish tikka, but they prepare one.

You can find a variety of seafood options here and they also have a live fish counter as well. Foods are expensive here compare to the taste and quality. The Atmosphere is so beautiful and the kids will love this place. If you are planning for the dinner please make sure you carry ODOMOS with you.

Went here with my office friends. The atmosphere is very good. They are having some pets in there like ducks, dog. They have option for live area where we can select our fish / crab alive and they will cook it after we select them

To start positive, this restaurant provides excellent ambience and open place to sit and relax. Tables are well arranged. Apart from that this is absolutely waste to try. Taste is worst I have tried, when they say sea food, usually fish gravy should be unique but it is worst here not to try. They call it as best awarded sea food restaurant but I don’t have any clue how they can call it as, no unique taste. Cost is too much when compared with other sea food restaurants. You can see my other reviews. I too saw next table person also showed his disappointment when he saw the food served. Highly recommend not to try this to avoid your disappointment if you are sea food lover. There is more best in chennai and ecr side. My 2 rating is only for ambience.

Good ambience!! reason for 3 star below food taste is good but all three dishes i had are little salty I ordered lemon juice sweet and salt but received sugar water i mean no lemon in that returned and got again.

The total ambience is superb also staffs are well behaving but food quality can be better.
