Best Indonesian food in Japan so far. They are all halal and the price is also affordable. All of the menu I’ve tried is good and the taste is quite similar to those in Indonesia. The owner is really kind and helpful. The place is strategic, near Gion. My favorite menu are Seblak, Bakso, Mie Ayam, Pisang Goreng with Ice Cream, Pecel lele, dan Ayam geprek (almost all of them). Very recommended!

Halal Indonesian restaurant in the center of Kyoto. Gladly there is a prayer room here so you can use it after a long strolling of the city. The food tasted great, we ordered food with peanut sauce and the chef made it from raw (not using instant processed one). Very recommended to visit here even just to buy pisang goreng.

What an incredible find!!!!! Dining here just takes me back to Indo, and made me realize how much I miss the country and it’s food. The restaurant was so well decorated like a warung, with all the details including the krupuk jars, hanging spice packs, glasses. Food was delicious and very affordable. Thank you for a great dining experience, I’m impressed by this couple who ran it and their ability in speaking Indonesian. Wishing you great success for many years!!

Take the lift to the 3rd floor. Take off your shoes and sit down to an extremely well priced menu. I had the nasi goreng made vegan and it was great, the best vegan meal in japan so far. Such a cool spot but not for snobs lol enjoy.

Didn’t expecting the food to be this good!!!! Find on google map and the store is on 3rd floor, and it’s one of the best food on our trip. The flavours are delicious and service was great! The man running the store is very polite and this was a great experience! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s in Kyoto and it’s truly worth taking a detour to eat!!!!!

Went here yesterday for iftar. This is my third indonesian restaurant that i tried in the vicinity of Kyoto-Osaka. When i got here, the available menu was the “warteg” style. You can choose your own ready-to-eat menus such as fried chicken, tempeh oreg, sambal, and fried mackerel. In addition, there are also several iced drinks such as pop ice and nutri sari. Crackers are provided free of charge, and there is a prayer room and toilet as well. During iftar hours, you also get a free banana compote (kolak pisang). On the walls of the restaurant, there are many testimonials from visitors, mostly in Indonesian. The restaurant owner can also speak Indonesian, so there is no problem in communication here for native Indonesians.

They offer many variety of indonesian foods . All of their menu is halal. There are vegetarian options too.The price is reasonable. The taste is good. The interior is calming. The owner is probably balinese but the waiters is japanese. I ordered urap and tempe mendoan. Their urap is a little bit sweet because it is javanese style urap. But the tempe mendoan is tasty. It is served with sambal kecap. Yummy

Authentic Indonesian dishes with reasonable price. All of the food here are halal, so Muslims can dine in without any problem. The vibes of the place are pretty nice, too, and there's different seatings to accommodate to your needs. We dined in and also ordered takeout, and our recommendation is the Ayam Penyet. Definitely a must try, they're really tasty! Since the restaurant is run by only a few staff, please be more considerate during peak hours when your food might take a while to be cooked.

Authenthic Indonesian dishes at reasonable prices. Wide range of food, friendly staff, kooky atmosphere, very spicy (which I love!). Service is a little slow (~20 minute wait) so avoid if in a rush.

Over all the dishes we ordered, the chicken satay was the best! The place is pretty small but has counter seat and also table seat.

Not going to deny that we were very suspicious at first on how the food might be. Turns out we made the right choice of having lunch here. The food was really yummy and it tasted very authentic. Still thinking about the Nasi Goreng and I might need to visit them one more time before leaving Kyoto.

A hidden gem indeed! Worth the effort finding this place. They’re on the third floor. Lovely, authentic Indonesian food. Retro decor. So well priced. Wonderful service! We had a memorable vegan dinner!

    1) food is good, tasty 2) service a bit slow, places are scarce. The AC on the left is leaking. 3) Halal ? Idk, many hindu gods inside, the couple is japanese and pleasant, the owner seems ok with shirk and alcohol. I ate there but would not advise a muslim to go there.

We visited this place during the ramadhan month. Surprisingly they offered free refreshment or takjil for us. You can choose Kolak Pisang or Bubur Kacang Hijau. Their Kolak Pisang was delicious. I ordered Paru Balado, Tempe Bakwan, Terong Tahu Sambel and everything was boomb, very tasteful. A very recommended place if you miss Indonesia no ryouri
