HOLY COW.... This place is amazing! We just so happen to find it on Google while in town and stopped by.. You will not be disappointed! So much to choose from.. So hard to decide.. Everything we had was amazing!

Let’s start by saying as a teen I thought this place was excellent and so cool. As an adult I realize most people eat here for the hype and not the food. Let’s start with: Overpriced small portioned hard to chew fajitas. Then let’s talk about how rude my waiter was. He honestly acted like he didn’t want to be there and he hated waiting on us!!! Like I didn’t know southerner waiters acted like that! The overpriced margarita tastes like straight tequila. But I guess that is a good thing for how much it cost! I don’t see myself coming back here. Picture of the fajitas I got that were so tough I could not eat them in a tortilla!

Ordered the lunch fajitas. There were literally 4 total pieces of meat. Chicken was dry, but the steak was tender and juicy, and as another reviewer has mentioned the veggies were warm and still crispy (not how I prefer my veggies for fajitas). Expensive for the very small amount of food you actually get ($18). (see photo). The chips and salsa were standard. The white queso wasn't anything to write home about. Overall not impressed.

This is a Shreveport staple. Superior has been turning out great food for decades. Their margaritas are legendary. The food is great and atmosphere is awesome. The wait time on the weekend is a while and the wait staff is super but spread thin at times.

While we were waiting on a room to be assigned at the hospital, we decided to get lunch. This place wasn’t far and had good reviews so we went. It’s confusing when you walk in because there is no hostess stand and there are like 3 entrances. We finally found a waiter at the bar and he had us to just pick a table and someone would be with us. Angel came almost immediately! He was efficient, pleasant, and overall a great waiter! The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back. It has a cozy but homey feel on the inside. The entree (chicken and steak) was ok but the tortilla soup was absolutely amazing!

I met a group of old college fraternity friends and we had a really great time at the restaurant. The food was delicious, the beers were extremely cold, and the atmosphere is just like it was when we were in college in 1980s.

The service was a bit of a wait. It could have been that they were short staff that night but it was alright. The complementary chips and salsa tasted fine. The salsa can be better. It’s a bit too sweet for my book. I ordered the Brochetas Fajitas. The price of it was decent since it had shrimp. I wouldn’t say it was worth 29.99 though. The food was delicious, but I wouldn’t come back for their food. I think they’re better locations out there.

I enjoyed the South Highlands which is a 3 enchilda dinner. Spinach, Shrimp, and crawfish! So yumalishous! Margaritas on the rocks even better!!! Server was excellent. Attentive as needed!

After many years, Dan and I enjoyed the shrimp, chicken and steak fajitas at Superior. Yummy and delicious as we remembered. No margarita today. I had to go back to work when we got home.

Wow!! Just wow!! The meat was amazing! The tortillas were incredible. The chips were the bomb dot com. Do you want Mexican food? Is Superior Grill near by? You go to Superior Grill. Period. End of discussion. Their food was incredible. Really, go here. The margs are also the bomb diggity! Like, two margs in and I’m feeling them pretty heavy. Well done Superior. Well done.

My wife and i have been wanting to go to this place for a while. The restaurant was busy . We were seated right away ,i was surprised for a Saturday night. Our server was good, but it was so loud that i did not get his name. He was good at his job,but all interactions were brief, and in passing, it seemed kinda like a wham bam ,thank you ma am🙂.... the food was great service was good. I like to enjoy the process when i go places.ill be back.

Service was excellent but it takes a while to get food. I spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes for two people... The food was great and the atmosphere was phenomenal.

Enter the front by door for dining & side door for bar area. Must try the large frozen Superior Margarita! Absolutely the best & served in a styrofoam cup! Who would have thought? The food & service was great! I will give out of my way to come back!

Favorite restaurant in Shreveport! Every time we visit family in Natchitoches we always make it a point to fly into Shreveport to hit Superior! The margaritas are INCREDIBLE, and be careful, you only need one as they make them strong! All the meats are premium. I highly recommend a fajita platter of some sort. So delicious! Absolutely go here if you haven’t yet. Staff is so friendly and atmosphere is fun!!

I’ve lived in the area for about a year now and this is hands down the best Mexican food around! The service is phenomenal, the environment is fun, and the food is amazing! We had a party of two for a Friday night without a reservation. The wait was only about 10-15 minutes but was understandable because of how busy it was. Make a reservation if you plan on going during peak times and have a party larger than two. The service was quick and we got our appetizer and main course very quick. The food was hot and fresh. I got the El Paso combo plate which had one of everything. The steak is amazing and perfectly cooked and marinated. The chicken was tender and you can taste the smokiness of the grill. The prices were appropriate for the quality and portions and the drinks were strong and delicious. I would recommend Superior Grill for fantastic Mexican food.

Stopped by for a quick to-go meal and had to wait quite a while for someone to take our order, but the food was worth the wait! The atmosphere was fun and had us wishing we could stay and eat there. Although the meal was pricey, it was delicious!

Margaritas here were strong but first time i had one in a togo cup. That was weird. Food was decent but took an hour to get food after order was placed.

I love superior. Been visiting it for over 15 years annually. Common theme is that the atmosphere is always great. The food is wonderful though they've lowered portion size and prices in concert with inflation like most restaurants. I always recommend the skirt steak fajitas as the staple.

Always an awesome stop when in Shreveport...table for 10 in under 5 minutes. Ordered their great margaritas from the bar while we waited and asked if he could do kiddos some waters and a Shirley temple...bartender didn't bat an eye got kid cups and made it happen. Food at the table was awesome...was wanting either an enchilada or fajita lunch plate.. server had them make me a combo...these guys get it right every time!

Well worth the visit. Ambiance, service and taste. They get all three correct. My picture does not do it justice. We make this pilgrimage from Tyler at least once a year.

Stopped here on our way to our final destination. Luckily they were open late (until 11). The food was delicious! We got spinach quesadillas and spinach enchiladas with rice and beans and it came packaged in large portions (see pics below). I also got a large margarita to go ($15) half top shelf half strawberry and it was both potent and delicious. The bartender was awesome! I would definitely come again to enjoy the clean and festive environment. I hope they get their service together. 3 people were dismissive and didn’t even look my way as I waited cluelessly to pickup my to-go order at the smaller bar. Luckily a young lady clocking out finally directed me to the larger bar on the other side to pick up my order (she and the enthusiastic bartender saved a star reduction). If you’re vegetarian, I highly recommend this spot!
