Check in went smoothly. Due to some unavoidable delays on the way, I didn't check in until after 1am. The young woman who checked me in, was very friendly and gave me a late checkout without my having to ask. The room was clean and comfortable, as usual. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. I did not go to the casino until the next day. There were very few people gambling, but I am sure that was because I was there on a Tuesday afternoon. There was work going on, on the 3rd floor of the casino, so about half of the machines were not accessible there. The Gift shop, buffet and Smoky Joe's restaurant were all closed. I did stop at the deli, as I had earned a meal credit. The "authentic Texas chili" was great. Also grabbed a chicken salad sandwich to throw in cooler and have later while on the road. Both were very good. All of the employees were very friendly and attentive.

Visited May 2021 for a surprise Mothers Day weekend retreat. I would note that it was partially inspired by an extremely disappointing first-time visit to WinStar the month before. Sam's Town was a lot of fun - games, atmosphere, and staff were all super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely revisit in the future. We stayed in the Magnolia suite which did not offer room service nor did the store downstairs off the lobby have much of anything to offer. Reviews to be posted separately on restaurants but high-level: Smokey Joe's (good food/horrible service), William B's Steakhouse (world class food and service).

Had fun, didn't really win, but the customer service is awesome, always had beverages, cashiers were available, plenty to play, went to two of the three restaurants and was very pleased with the food. Great room, was given extra coffee at checking in. All around great experience. I plan these trips for entertainment so if I don't win it's not my number one goal, it's all about having a good time. This is my second time here and no complaints. See you again soon.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sam's Town Hotel and Casino. The hotel reservation employees and bellhops were very professional and kind. I loved my room and wish that I booked the hotel for my entire time in Shreveport. The room was large and very clean and the hotel smelled clean! I will definitely visit in the future, if ever in Shreveport. I don't gamble, but I enjoyed my stay.

I will never stay here again. We came and had 2 rooms that were nasty. We are tired and were traveling and thought it would be a good place to stop over due to the amenities. Boy was I wrong. Pictures from both rooms. The staff were very nice and accommodating but the cleanliness of the hotel is just disgusting. We paid $160 for a single night, based on previous reviews its was a nice place, yet we found different.

This was a horrible experience!!!! I regret choosing Sam's Town as my choice of stay and play. After driving over 200 miles, I was expecting a little more appreciation and customer service, but I received neither!!! I spent quite a bit of money, more than I care to talk about. I even requested a comp meal after my expense playing spree, but was declined (This was a 1st ever). The time spent driving, the lost of money, and the unappreciated choice made to stay and play, and overlooked value of being a customer is very upsetting and hurtful. By the way I have allowed this to be done twice, never again!!! Anyone looking to be used and abused "Sam's Town" is the place to be.

Staff was very nice, friendly, and polite. The hotel itself is in a safe area with plenty of lit parking. The rooms are big and spacious as well as the bathroom. Everything was very clean and nice. The food was good as well as the Casino environment. Check in/out was a breeze. Just an all around great atmosphere and experience. Everything was just nice including all hotel guests. We will definitely stay here again and refer others!!

We stayed here overnight on a long trip to Illinois. Didn't hit it big but my luck has been bad for a while now 😭 P.S. Some employees were pretty rude or maybe just having a bad day 😕 The ladies bringing the drinks were very nice 😊

My trip to Sams Town casino was a spontaneous one; I was actually heading to Jackson Mississippi to make a segment of their food spots but I had found a deal on Travelocity for this hotel/casino. The parking garage is a little far if you’re rolling in heavy luggage so I illegally parked in the front, turns out that I walked about the same distance to get to the hotel reception area. I was confronted by security for recording myself in the front of the entrance, hence, outside. You are welcomed by the locals just outside the entrance and they might ask you for some money or an article of clothing. Once you enter the doors, the ambiance changes from a homeless retreat to a full-blown casino scene with the extravagant restaurants. Yet, it was quite empty for the size of the restaurant area. I’m sure when there’s an important game or fight, it must get lit (maybe). It took about 30 min. For the travelocity book-in to reflect on their system. In the meantime, I parked my car in the garage and walked the long ways with my luggage. The receptionists were polite and helpful, one was extra nice actually, and was interested in my vlogging adventures. The way to the room was pleasant, and when I did manage to go into the room, it was just what I expected. The temperature was perfect and the room was spotless. There was a slight outdated feeling about the hallway and room but for the price, I couldn’t expect anything better. The king bed was like laying on a cloud, a little too soft for my taste but perfect to lay and relax with your phone or tablet. The purpose of my stay was for the room, not the casino, but I couldn’t resist to take a look around. I’ve been to a few casinos before and this might’ve been the smallest out of all of them. I sat down on a slot machine and played a few dollars, they were already eyeing me from recording the entrance so I wasn’t going to risk another episode inside the casino. So I waited ‘til the morning to record :D. They were quite strict about vaping and moving around the slots. I knew I wasn’t going to come out with any earnings so I just really went for the experience. I felt tense due to the security and the visitors were not the upscale type that you’d like to mingle with. I was able to record some interior shots in the morning, but it was nothing too impressive. The checkout was easy and I felt refreshed in the morning. I give this place 3 stars as an overall experience.

Luxury king room was very nice and the price was very reasonable. The hot tub was amazing. Pool is also heated and was very clean. The whole hotel was very clean. We will be staying here again.

Sorry to say that I haven't been able to stay there for the past 2 years due to COVID and illness but looking forward to staying again sometime soon. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable. The buffet is always delicious and staff are always friendly and helpful.

The stay at Sam's Town was pretty good overall. The room was large, the staff is very friendly and there were really no major complaints. However, the hotel/casino as well as the neighborhood still felt like it was 2020 with many things still closed or reduced with the general feeling that things aren't back to normal. It was just a rather sleepy stay at a casino.

The casino here can get a bit of a rough crowd at night. Nothing good to eat here and no bars to drink at. Rooms are fairly nice though, and they are very affordable. Last time I was here there were a lot of machines shut down.

I was very sad to see that with so much opening back up after the pandemic that they still are not offering Valet services especially with it being such a great distance to walk from the parking garage. The casino looked like a ghost town! It seems that they have gotten rid of a lot of machines on every floor. I'd honestly hate to be here on a night when there are a lot of people because you'd probably have to wait around for a slot machine! I didn't witness anybody winning at all, as well as myself. I know the odds are stacked against me already, but at least let me enjoy playing since there are so many negative things associated with coming here, lol. I played several different machines and lost good money and never even got a decent bonus or play back. However, the rooms still are very nice and comfortable. I honestly can't say that I would recommend this place as far as casinos go but if you're looking for a good night's sleep, then this would be a good choice.

Room was decent, they were free but I would have liked to soak in a hot bath. But the stopper for the tub did not seal so my hot water was going out as I was filling it. Didn't hear it till I was in and turned the water off. Very mad. Then I went to get a soda out of the machine, hot and got a diet instead. Didn't want a diet. Mad again. 😠 so take it from there.

Must be the COVID, not many people before Christmas. Non smoking Casino, free drinks include alcohol beverages in casino, clean lobby.

This casino is starting to go downhill slowly. There were alot of slots that weren't operational, not many tables to play at, and the casino itself didn't seem very clean (obviously alot of ppl go through there so it's going to be "dirty" but this was more like a musty unkempt type of dirty if that makes sense). We didn't stay here so I can't speak for the hotel portion but the part we walked through going to the casino looked to be pretty nice.

Mrs. Debra at the hotel check in desk was very sweet! She has a great customer service personality and was very nice! Our 1st time there and i must say, the roons were spacious and quiet! Clean with refrigerator!! Bed was comfy with white towels that were clean! I definitely want to stay there again! So easy to park and walk across the Skywalker and then also to the casino!! Great stay, thanks for the comp nights Sams Town! 🤑💯👍

Best thing is that the bed is comfortable! I wanted to take it but couldn't get it on the plane... Now I know the mattress to order. 🤗😁

The room was clean, but less than comfortable. The pillows were like rocks, and the blanket was thin. There was no hot water in the shower (excellent water pressure, though, so that's a plus). Every facet of the hotel is in full swing, there are no mask requirements, people can come and go as they please...but room service is unavailable due to COVID. I can't make that make sense.

Just passing through for a day. Decent Hotel and Casino. Kept losing wifi connection in my room. Little cafe downstairs was just ok.

We have been coming to Sam's Town for some time now, we really enjoy the table games and slot machines here The payouts are pretty nice The atmosphere is fun if you don't mind a little smoke. The drinks are pretty good and the hosts are pretty nice.

We did not stay the hotel. We came for the evening to play slots. Had a really fun time. Did not feel like our money was getting sucked down as fast as we put it in.

Stayed in a double room. Room was big but very old. Smelled like old carpet. Every time you flushed the toilet would make weird noises for a while and then stop. The room next to us was very noisy. Called front desk to send security and they didn't. Called twice with no success. The location is ugly. We didn't stay to see anything but the town looks very sketchy and empty. Don't intend to ever go back.

I’m sure this is a lovely place to stay, but I am currently in a seminar here and it is unbelievably cold. Our association has been trying to get the thermostat raised for over 4 hours and nothing. The attendants must stay because we need continuing education hours. How hard is it to make a room comfortable temperature-wise?

Went in the early morning hours. DEAD with handful of customers. Nothing was paying out. Won't go back on a week night. Probably other boats too but I wouldn't know for sure.

Giving a 4 because the people who work here are overall so very nice. The wiring was poor in our first room- turning off the overhead lights turned off all the sockets…so no Cpap or phone charging. The front desk sent up the maintenance man - didn’t catch his name - and he said no problem with our removing the bulb so we could sleep. It was really late and they understood our not wanting to move that late. The next morning they very graciously moved us to the next room. I’m so glad because that first room had a dingy and dirty shower curtain and the floor was so sticky that our feet stuck to our shoes. This second room is much better. The view is amazing! We don’t really gamble so can’t speak to the casino games.. the reason we didn’t give 5 stars is everything is closed as far as places to eat and drink. There is a little kiosk type place for grab and go. The coffee says Starbucks but was terrible and the employee didn’t know how to make the coffee to 165. Stupid me didn’t double check the lid because it appeared on.. and I burned my front on the coffee and soaked my shirt. Upon inspection the cup was defective. Lesson learned to always double check. No healthy options that looked fresh enough to eat. The room was very dusty and I had to clean off human genetic material off of the ottoman. We would go to ballys next door to eat. It smells really nice at ballys but pretty terrible here. Like the back of a bus. At any rate, I wanted to focus on the view and the staff who are helpful and friendly.

THE ROOM AND BATHROOM WERE VERY CLEAN. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THAT THE DESK ATTENDANT DIDNT TELL US THAT WE HAD TO USE OUR KEY CARD IN ORDER TO TO GI TO OUR FLOOR. A STRANGER HAD TO TELL US. THENCWE HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER FLOOR IN ORDER TO GET WATER OUT OF THE BOTTLE MACHINE.STILL THE PLACE WAS NICE. DIDNT GET THE CHANG E TO GAMBLE😅

Usually Enjoy going here but they've sure gotten greedy lately. Haven't won here in a long while.

The entire casino really needs updating. With the new no smoking policy, it seems very quiet. That explains the terrible payouts. I did not enjoy the casino, but did love the steakhouse, William B's.

Room was larger than expected with a nice view of the Red River. The room was also very clean with a large bathroom. The casino was great with plenty of security. We felt very safe during our stay. Parking garage had a walk way to the hotel.

This review is strictly for the hotel and conference room part, I was here for work and didn’t experience the entertainment side. The room was nice , spacious . They could’ve had a bigger TV. Haven’t seen room service neither was informed about it( but wasn’t in need ) hotel doesn’t have breakfast but there is a place that does in the hotel but can’t say was good. My main priority is a gym because I am frequently on the road but it was closed at 10pm. I don’t understand why not keep in 24 hour or at least till midnight. We were using the conference rooms. We needed the area to be locked(because of our equipment), we had to wait 30 40 min for someone to come which at that time it was midnight. Why was this important because we had to be up in 5 hours , lost the extra hour we could’ve rested by waiting for someone. After the event we needed assistant regarding the room but again no one was available to help out so we just gave up on our need. The staff were friendly , it’s just the hotel didn’t seem like work traveler accommodating.
