If I could give it a zero I would. None of the locks actually locked, jacuzzi tub was filthy, pool was unkept. We had a worker walk into our room without knocking. Severely outdated and creepy. Sketchy as hell. Never again!

I recently stayed here for one night, & I had the best experience. I had to tell all of my friends about it, & I’m excited to tell all of you about it. Each room is a unique experience, & the house itself is incredibly eclectic. I loved being there, & I was very excited to explore the property. The owner was just leaving as I was arriving, & he was incredibly welcoming & friendly. He even noticed that my parents (who had been staying more days than I was) were not at breakfast that morning. That’s service you would not get at a normal hotel. You can tell that there is a high-level of detail & thought that goes into each room. The owner really wants you to have a great and relaxing time when you’re here, & I definitely did. There’s so much art and so many books that fill this bed and breakfast, I would return for that alone! Additionally, there are free snacks and drinks in every cranny of the home imaginable. Every room has a guest book, & I loved reading every page of mine. One excerpt that stood out to me was from another guest who had stayed multiple times, as I also plan to, & their wife said when they walked into the room, “we’re home.” And that’s truly what this bed and breakfast feels like, home.

This is a beautiful older home, it was a great stay here. They have snacks EVERYWHERE, all kinds of snacks from small rice krispy treats to sugar free Russell stover to Kind bars to Peppermints and Butterscotch and all kinds of other treats. They have spirits and wine and an ice machine, several types of coffee for the Keurig, teas, and instant coffee. You can eat breakfast, but you have to tell them in advance. The bed was awesome, the rooms are very roomy and quaint. We really enjoyed our stay, the only negative thing we experienced was the water pressure was a little low in the shower, but that is not a deal breaker for us. If you have the chance, you should stay here, they have a pool and the grounds are lit up by hanging lights at night making the place look really nice at night.

Where to begin? I don't know whose definition of Southern opulence this is, but the place feels claustrophobic, packed with dusty old furniture and decorated with garish wallpaper and creepy busts. I booked the "King Deluxe Spa" room only to realize, once I got there, that no one knew what that was. After various members of the staff asked one another which room that could be, a consensus was reached and I got my key. The room: ugly rental brown carpet, 22 throw pillows, a large hole in the wall (maybe a previous, disappointed guest punched the wall in anger?), flies, a window unit as loud as a tractor, wires sticking out of the wall in the bathroom (purple bathtub, shower, and sink and jungle green wallpaper btw), no place to put toiletries, and no place to put clothes because the tiny closet was packed with stuff - old paintings, fans, etc. - no longer used in other rooms. The Keurig in the room has never been cleaned so I got dirty coffee water when attempting to make tea. The pool was full of leaves and debris...My advice? Do yourself a favor and go to a hotel. Any hotel. Even a cheap one would be better than this.

What a fun relaxing weekend. The house is nearly decorated. Very quiet. Kinda feels like you are in a murder mystery novel but not scary. The bourbon suite was perfect. Close to the casinos. Breakfast was really good. We were some of the only people there this weekend and got to take a peek at down of the other rooms too, all beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back. They have a pool so we plan to come back when it's warm beautiful for a wedding venue. Snacks throughout the hose and coffee/tea easily accessible. Thanks for a great weekend.

The most beautiful house I've ever stayed in! I love these old huge houses! Beautiful neighborhood! Felt super safe and comfortable. We even got a courtesy call before making it there. The bed was so comfortable, me and my husband knocked out so fast. The matress amazing! The pillows amazing! Even better than ours lol. Room was very clean. There's snacks everywhere which we loved! Very sad we couldn't stay for breakfast though, had to hit the road early. It smelled amazing though! I loved the whole vibe here! We will definitely be back to really enjoy the hotel again! Thank you guys again.

My friend's home burned this week. We took a break and came to Shreveport for a breath. This is a brilliant find. Wonderful old homes, beautifully restored. The art and treasures are of museum quality. John is a gracious host and an excellent chef! Please take the time to enjoy!

This was such a lovely place! Miss Ruthie was a delightful host and showed us to our beautiful butterfly bourbon room. I wish we stayed more than one night. We both enjoyed it thoroughly.

A wonderful and restful place to stay, eclectic decorating and modern amenities in a beautiful and historic neighborhood of Shreveport. Breakfast is amazing and the staff is very friendly and hospitable and scarce when they're needed to be. The jacuzzi tubs provide ample room to soak and the pool outside is spacious and invigorating. We stayed for two nights and had a great time, we look forward to staying again!

What a wonderful place! It is beautifully decorated, without being cluttered like so many other B&Bs. Julie is wonderful, and makes sure you are treated like a valued guest. The beds are luxurious, and the Jacuzzi tubs are so nice. Everything is spotless! The breakfasts are absolutely delicious, and they can serve them to you in bed. There are snacks and beverages whenever you desire, even wine. If you need anything, you simply call. They truly want you to feel comfortable and at home. Truly a great experience, and I will stay here whenever I am in the Shreveport area.

My husband and I spent the night here recently. The house is filled with history. The rooms are furnished with tasteful decorations and each detail was thought about carefully. The sheets smell fresh, the whole house was clean, there were snacks and munchies located in every room. Breakfast the next day was great as well. We are interested in staying in the main house the next time.

Went there for a wedding. Very nice place. Food was good. Staff friendly and concerned everything was going to schedule . However, trash was not being emptied or plates being collected. Not a venue for big weddings and not handicapped friendly.

I am having concerns before my trip, made the reservations, but never got any confirmations, tried calling and that is forwarded to another number, left message, called that number direct, had to leave message. I am now wondering what type business will not answer their phone. After the trip, I wish to revise this and raise the star level as I did not realize that I was reserving just one room in an old historic house. It was a bed and breakfast environment so that was my mistake that I did not catch that. The room was accomodating but not set up for business travelers. There is not a desk for working and only a tiny TV in the room. I had to move out to the dining room to get any work done on my laptop, but there was always coffee, drinks, and snacks everywhere. One night I had my dinner on the front porch, which was kinda nice. I was able to have one of the breakfast on my last day which was a great breakfast, but they do not serve until 8:30, which is fine for most travelers. Would I stay there again if traveling for business, probably not, but I would like to take my wife there sometime on a persoanl trip. wt

I went there and I paid for it with my debit card, I reserved the place, I have the confirmation number and receipt. Bad thing was that the police came and escorted me away and off the property.
