This is a very old building, and the seating is a tight fit in the balcony. The floor seats look like folding chairs. Next time I hope I can sit on the floor seats or the balcony near the stage ( has chairs with cushion) and a better view.

Nice place to go to concert, smaller venue, cool older building. All employees I encountered were very pleasant & helpful. Make sure to take Credit/Debit if you plan to purchase Beverages or Food as No Cash taken. Front parking lot cost $25. Been to 3 concerts so far. 1st one was ZZTop 5-6 years ago. Section I sat in didn't have good sound but really think this was on the band since experienced sound system issues 3 different times, literally stopped playing. Other 2 concerts were in May and last night. Took a young lady that needed Accessible Seating. Only one way up and into the building from the Street.

Amazing place full of history, great small venue concerts, comedy and music shows. The infamous Louisiana Hayride where Elvis Presley and many others in country and rock made a name for themselves and introduction to the world in many cases.

Just driving by. The history of the Louisiana Hayride and all of the big names that have come this way is amazing.

I absolutely loved the Aaron Lewis concert here! There isn't a bad seat anywhere and the way it is laid out makes it so easy to get around the building and find bathrooms, drinks, etc. I do have to say that the parking was our only issue, even getting there early, there wasn't a lot of parking available. I can't wait to go back and hopefully see the ghost of singers past next time!

Truly enjoyed The Sketchbook Tour show! Performers were great. The venue REALLY needs to lay off selling fried concessions. The entire building smelled like a fast food joint when they need to change out the oil in their fryers!

This auditorium allows for such a more personal experience when attending a concert! Ive dreamed of seeing Clint Black since I was a small child. This concert being in this location made the experience so much better!!

The auditorium was very nice. I was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our bartender was cool. We had no idea what to order and he suggested a drink which turned out to be perfect.

The venue opened one hour late. We had to stand outside in the heat for an hour. No explanation for the late opening was furnished by the venue. The concert was great though.

THE SEATING IS HORRIBLE!! LEGS ARE CRAMMED UP AND YOU CAN'T MOVE. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. YOU COULD EASY CALL AND REALLY HURT YOURSELF. WOULD NOT WANT TO COME TO ANOTHER EVENT AT THIS VENUE FOR THIS REASON ALONE.

I was able to catch a concert featuring rock God Robert Plant and Allison Krauss. The facility is old but comfortable and the acoustics are fabulous. I can't wait to catch another concert at this venue.

The place is beautiful and sound was great. Sitting on the floor and 8 rolls ahead of me stood up and couldn't see. I was sweating. If there is a next time I will sit in balcony area. Wished we'd sat up in balcony. Experience would of been so much better. Parking was different story. Need to do some work on that.

On my most recent visit , it was for an outside event - Taco Wars . Great event and I never knew they were doing stuff outside the auditorium . There's so much going on in Shreveport these days it's hard to keep up with all of it . The Municipal Auditorium is about the most well-known place in Shreveport . It is also called "The Cradle of the Stars " . There was a country music show there starting in the 50s (maybe 40s) where the greatest singers and musicians in country music played before the Grand Ole Opry accepted them . If you name a country star from the 50s and 60s , they played the Municipal . Even Elvis got famous from the national broadcast from the Municipal ! You could spend days looking at the photos of stars who played there . And many other music genres and other entertainment has taken place there . I can't do it justice . Come see !

Bought seats in the orchestra section for Alice Cooper for 5/17. Absolutely no leg room so myself and my dad had to stand during the whole show because there wasn't even enough room to get the seat all of the way down to sit. Didn't think this would be an issue given I am only 5'11"

Saw Joe Gatto live and had a hard time in the back going up the steep stairs, hearing and seeing and the staff at the concessions were really rude but we still had fun.

I loved the auditorium. The ballet was exquisite. I recommend parents plug into future events here. It is very "kid friendly,"

The building is historical so there is a beauty to it. I went with my friends to The 85 South Comedy Show & we had a good time. We didn’t have to park too far.

Saw Jack White recently at the Municipal, one thing i noticed was although drinks are sold there is nowhere to set a drink down...No cupholders, just the nasty floor under your seat. For 12 bucks a drink they should have movie theater style holes in the arm of chairs the seating in the balcony is pretty cramped if your tall, good luck not knocking yohlur knees in to the head of the person in front of you. Despite that, its a great historic place to see a show with a great sound system. Good times all around!

I love the Municipal auditorium for concerts! The acoustics bounce off the walls and the music sounds great! I enjoy the more intimate setting of a live show, as well, so this is the ideal place for me!

Amazing place! Beautiful building with incredible acoustics. Just the people I have seen preform there in the past 6 years are legendary. This place is very taken care of. Thank you for all who keep it looking so nice and original.

History of venue is awesome, but the sound in the upper balcony is god awful. No one around me enjoyed themselves (includes strangers sitting in my vicinity) I'm willing to give another show with seats at the floor a shot, but my expectations are definitely low. I really want to love this place knowing Hank Williams and Elvis Presley performed on that stage, but it was the worst concert I've ever been to.

Seriously gorgeous renovation! The acoustics were excellent. The Texas Americana band Midland was AMAZING!!! The best seats are in the orchestra section close to the stage. It was a perfect night. (the beers are not that expensive, either). The presence of the Shreveport Police was a bonus.
