Have been to this site on several occasions and its always spotlessly clean and well kept which is a credit to the site staff. Its in a great location next to the park and ride direct into Shrewsbury for Β£2 how mad is that in this day and age? A good chinese , chip shop and co-op store within walking distance for all your supplies and a very nice pub "The grapes" just down the road serving good food and ales. Would highly recommend to anyone contemplating a visit.

Great weekend Stayed for a long weekend .very impressed .upon arrival we was allocated a pitch by a friendly member of staff which was great.the site is well kept and pitch layouts are good. Plenty of room with grass to the side . Very peacefull.loveing the country side its nice to see all the rabbits ,squirls playing in the morning and late evening running around as nature intended. Showes, toilets are 5β˜† very clean and the best iv seen . Well maintained . Just 10 min out the gate you have local shops, fish and chip shop, and other take aways. Nice pub just around the corner .Great food to. Hope to visit the other sites soon and hope they are just as good . Just one comment I always make is if pitches are available for people to change to .then the site should support this if possible, as it makes the stay complete. The ( duty wardens Graham and Julie are absolutely fantastic people very friendly hard Woking and a really great personality . Real people person. I'm shocked they don't manage the site . Best wardens iv seen and dealt with in 20 years touring .) Just one note to all customers. Please take a look on the Morris leisure Web site for shrewsbury and find the page that Morris leisure require our support . The council is looking to change all the entrance making it very difficult to people who wish to come to site with road changes .this also poses a great health and safety risk to children who can't get to local shops which we need to support also ..

Two complaints , firstly , toilets at 06:00 on the 11/07/20 were disgustingly left in a mess , when there are brushes provided it is not fair on others ,notices should be put up to let people know it is a requirement .i also found the super pitch not super ,as the water supply was a non standard fitting , asking the maintenance guy was very difficult as he said I should buy one , poor customer care there..other than that brilliant

Lovely site with great facilities! Clean and modern showers and toilets. Friendly staff, good on site camping shop. Secure site with access barriers and key fobs. Convenient co-op just a couple minutes drive. Short drive to Shrewsbury. Really enjoyed it and would recommend

The whole weekend was excellent. The staff were so friendly and very helpful, the site and facilities were immaculate. The location for amenities was so useful, Fish and chips, Chinese, Greggs and a Co-Op all within a short walk, together with a park and ride bus service into Shrewsbury. Will definitely be back.

A very tidy, well-kept site. The Oxon park and ride terminus is very close by, so it's easy to get a bus (every 20 minutes) into Shrewsbury. There's a pub and supermarket nearby too. The caravan pitches are large and well laid out. All facilities are first class and well maintained. My only criticism would be that the facilities block is at the entrance to the site, so it is quite a way from a lot of the pitches. It would have been better to have it more centrally.

An immaculate touring caravan and mobile home site, close to Shrewsbury - but within a beautifully landscaped setting, yet still within easy reach of the town. The site team work, cleanliness practices and clear advice make this a reassuring place to be as the post-Covid era emerges. We will visit again...

Staff are very good and keep the site in excellent condition. It is always clean and well looked after. There is a small play area for children also an adult only area. The shop reception is well stocked with everything you would need for a camping caravan time. Updated July 2020. Further to my previous review I have had very poor service from all the warders, especially the manager. No further details. Buyer beware.

Stayed DEC 22. As ever everything immaculate and staff so friendly. Washrooms immaculate, warm and plenty of hot water ( even in current crisis) . Park and ride literally round the corner. My daughter and I come every year for Christmas shopping. Never disappointed. We prefer pitches near to pond. Pleasant and only short walk to the facilities and entrance.

Keep returning with caravan as love this site. Cleanliness A1 and facilities cleaner than clean and comprehensive. Serviced pitch actually has tap and waste grid close enough the van to use, unlike some other sites where the tap can be 30/40 feet away. This was about 15' so no messing with aquaroll. Fantastic. Grounds well kept and wildlife abound, owls hoot at night and particularly loads of bunnies. Great TV signal and BT phone signal too. Only downside now is the Oxon Park and Ride is non operational and reading the press looks like it will be re locating. Always such a plus point on staying here that you can Leave the car at the caravan. However will always return to any of the Morris sites as superb. Thanks for a lovely bank holiday weekend...πŸ‘Œ

First time here. Relative newcomers to campervanning so this will only have been our fifth site for overnight stays. Great site. Clean, tidy, well tended. Great location Nr. Shrewsbury. We used the park and ride (which sits virtually next door) to take us off into Shrewsbury. Used the local chippie for tea on one night. Co-op near by plus the chippie, Chinese take away and a pharmacy. The staff were welcoming and always on hand to answer queries. Shower and toilet block were spotless. Would highly recommend and will go again.

Excellent location for a campsite as you don't need your car once your here, plenty of shops and 2 pubs within walking distance, and the park and ride into Shrewsbury. Staff are always lovely and helpful. We've been camping here for years, as a family and now just the 2 of us now our family have grown up, but this was our first time at the end of November and won't be our last, the Christmas lights were amazing ❀️

This is a first class caravan park. 5 to 10 minutes walk from a park and ride service into Shewsbury, a co'op, a chippy which I highly recommend, a Chinese takeaway and a pub! The park also has a shop on site, an Adults only area, a dog walking area and a playground. Immaculately kept facilities and grounds.

  • 5/5 Lesley T. 2 years ago on Google
Site was really quiet and spotlessly clean, would definitely recommend. Only negative was the park and ride that don't operate on Sundays or Bank Holidays. Will definitely try more Morris leisure sites!

Excellent campsite with great facilities. There are laundry facilities, a small shop with lots of bits for your caravan or motorhome if you need them. The toilet and shower block is kept to a high standard as is the whole site. Lots of space and a separate adult area. One of my favourite sites and highly recommended

  • 5/5 sbdell 2 years ago on Google
The site is well set out. Good size pitches. Exceptionally clean and tidy, bins emptied frequently. Shower block spotless. Staff very friendly, have booked to go back in a few weeks, and can’t wait.

We stayed at this site a couple of years ago and it seemed a lot prettier, this time on adult super pitch just a short drive from reception, the pitches are a brilliant size, unfortunately, cold and uninviting a giant concrete car park. Please put in some greenery a 3 foot strip of grass does not do it. This is a very well run site staff are very nice and amenities are great

As I drove along the tree lined sweeping private road I couldn't help feeling -I'm well out my comfort zone. At reception told the lady I expected it was to posh for me but with the heavy rain I didn't want to drive further. Cost less than previous nights field in Wales. Most of the tow-cars cost more than my campervan, everyone very pleasant Well impressed

A beautifully kept park. All the facilities are spotless. Good location with bus every 20mins to Shrewsbury. Local shops include Co-op, fish & chips, Chinese and Greggs. Pub within walking distance. Enclosed field where dogs can be exercised.

We arrived on Thursday to smiling faces in the office. I was informed of this site by a friend and we have to say it is very good here. Everywhere on site is clean and well maintained, it is lovely place to visit. We will be returning.

Spot on! Beautifully landscaped site so peaceful calm and restful. Gorgeous pond in with loads of wildlife. The shop was excellent lots of stuff for tourers as well as food essentials. The staff were polite friendly and helpful. Shower block warm, clean and fresh looking. Well impressed we will stay there again for definite :)

Really great touring caravan park with excellent facilities. We visited over a long weekend and the pitches are spacious and well laid out. Shrewsbury is a beautiful town and well worth a visit - use the park and ride bus to get into town if you don't fancy the walk (about 2.5 miles and mostly downhill).

  • 5/5 Ian W. 1 year ago on Google
Beautifully maintained site with generous hardstanding or grass pitches. Excellent, clean facilities with heated floor. Very friendly and accommodating wardens and staff. Two dog walks on site. Five minutes walk to Park & Ride (Β£2 pp) with 10-15 min trip into Shrewsbury. Buses leave every 20 minutes and are dog-friendly. Handy Co-op five minutes walk away (a bit pricey but very handy for essentials)

We love Oxon Hall been twice now and will be going back, its beautifully clean well maintained and has a pretty duck pond I love. The Park has a Co Op at its entrance and a fab pub Egoes 2mins away and its just a 30min stroll into beautiful Shrewsbury.

The Riverfront Retreat Lodge was a peaceful sanctuary by the river's edge. The soothing sound of flowing water and the surrounding nature created a sense of tranquility. Our lodge room was cozy, and we could watch the river from our window. The lodge staff were gracious and provided great recommendations for riverside activities. This is a place where the river weaves its tales.

Great site, clean and spacious pitches. A few minutes walk to the Park N Ride into Shrewsbury. A local pub on the main road, and with a Co-Op Store, Chippy and Chinese takaway. Will visit again in the summer.

Lovely campsite, very well kept, showers and toilets are spotlessly clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Can't really comment on site location as we only stayed one night as a stop over on route to North Wales. If you are looking for a site near to Shrewsbury then this would be ok as it's right next to a park and ride site. This doesn't run on a Sunday though

My husband and I stayed at this site last weekend for 2 nights. On arrival the site was very secure with barriers. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was our first time at this particular morris leisure site. The site was very clean and so were the facilities. We stayed in the adults only bit with our 2 dogs. Lovely and quiet. The whole site had lots of wildlife, lots of rabbits running around, which was lovely to see. The park and ride was a few minute walk. We got this into Shrewsbury town where we spent a lovely day. We had a lovely few nights and would definitely recommend this site. We will definately be visiting again. Thanks to you all the staff that made our stay so pleasant.

Absolutely fantastic first stay on a Morris Leisure site - Oxon Hall in Shrewsbury. Fantastic, clean facilities and a well kept & tidy site. The caravan shop on site was surprisingly cheap and beat other caravan stores in the area on price. Cant fault the staff onsite. Perfectly situated near a huge COOP and amazing Chinese! Booking again soon!

  • 5/5 Pat S. 11 months ago on Google
Lovely site with very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent shop in reception which sold lots of items for your caravan/ motorhome e.g brakeaway cables all the way up to folding chairs. Not seen this level of stock on a site before! And prices reasonable too. Pitch was flat and an excellent size. Site laid out well and we saw an abundance of wildlife from geese with their 5 goslings to Moor hens, ducks and rabbits. Enjoyed our trips into Shrewsbury via the Park and Ride which was very close along with an excellent Co-op shop. We weren't keen on the fish and chip shop though, food very poor. All in all we really enjoyed our 5 night stay here and thanks go to all the hardworking staff . We will be back!!

Top quality caravan park with large level pitches. We'll maintained hedges and lawns. Staff all friendly and helpful. It's a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Would strongly recommend a stay here, or any of the other sites owned by Morris Leisure.

Oxon Hall is a great site, very well laid out and maintained to a high standard. The facilities are spotlessly clean, warm and bright. The camp shop is super, selling alot of accessories which are competitively priced. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be returning and also trying the other Morris sites.

We stayed here in our touring caravan, the site is very clean and tidy, next to park and ride into Shrewsbury so very handy. Good size pitch on fully serviced hard standing. Staff very friendly and helpful.

  • 5/5 Robert I. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed in our Motorhome, so can't comment on rooms. We were on a fully serviced pitch in the adult only part of the site, which suited our needs. We have stayed on this site before. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The showers/toilets were clean and tidy. There is a Park and Ride about a five minutes walk away which was useful for travelling around. There is a supermarket, and chip shop within a five minute walk. Ten minutes up the road there is a pub. We ate here, the food was good and reasonably priced. We will visit again.

A lovely well kept site with very friendly reception staff. very handy for visiting Shrewsbury, a park and ride is at the park entrance with a good co op and Greg's. Only two showers for women may be an issue at busy periods. The groundsman on his tractor filling in the rabbit holes at 8.30am was rather annoying as he kept the tractor running outside our Motorhome for over half an hour!! Overhaul a lovely site and would visit again.

Lovely quiet site. Showers/toilet block spotless couldn't fault it. Not a lot for children but very strong wifi which really helped. Staff really friendly thank you for a lovely weekend.

Good clean campsite and super toilet block. Site was quite full when we visited during half term holiday but remained quiet. Very convenient site for visiting Shrewsbury as Park and Ride is next to the site and there is a good Chinese take-away (with large portions) and a co-op for all your food and medical needs within easy walking distance.

Fantastic site so well kept and peaceful showers best ever lovely and warm loads of hot water. The park and ride to Shrewsbury 5 mins from site for Β£2 return is great. Lovely pub the Grapes 10 minute walk away nice friendly atmosphere and good food. Wardens on site very attentive and friendly Xmas lights gorgeous we will be back.

Very well managed and maintained site. The shower block is great, good showers, plenty of loos and wash basins, there are also very good washing facilities, even an ironing board. It's also close to a Co-op, chemist, fish and chip shop, take away. You can get the park and ride bus into town, that's a good service.

Have to give them 5 stars. Lovely site and so very well organized. If I had to be critical, and I mean trying to. The dog walking area could do with being fully enclosed, a little more lighing at night, but none of this would put me off. Well done guys.

What a great place to stay driving to the entrance is a pleasure nicely cut grass and hedges. Booked in, found our pitch, not quite level but very well maintained grass and hedges also well looked after, within 15mins all set and beer in hand. Shower and toilet block is situated at the entrance which is a bit of a pain. Within 10 mins walk to the park and ride which is very reasonable and less than 15 mins into Shrewsbury. Big Co-OP situated by the park and ride also chippy, Chinese and a chemist. Overall one of the best sites I have visited and will definitely be back.

Just arrived back home after 3 nights on the site. We found that staff were quite abrupt when we arrived and a bit frosty with us and we felt a little disheartened by this. Despite paying for an extra car, we were told that we couldn't take the second car in and we didn't get 2 fobs for the gate. I'm not sure what we actually paid for then ? The facilities were clean and tidy though and we had a nice time there. The local shops including a co op and two takeaways are fantastic. The on site shop was not available for browsing and no guests are allowed on site due to their covid 19 restrictions. The site was quiet apart from today when heavy machinery next to us woke us up and were very loud. We packed up early as it wasn't nice to be next to. There must be a building site next door. For these reasons we have decided that 3 stars is fair. Overall our stay was ok

  • 5/5 Kevin T. 3 years ago on Google
Even during these times of Covid 19 the staff welcomed you and kept the site very clean, local shops are excellent, pity the park and ride not operational, but, never mind helped us chill out and relax. Would recommend to any one, and we are now eager to try some of the other Morris Leisure sites.

  • 5/5 Helen F. 3 years ago on Google
We have just come home from what was originally booked as a 2 night stay on this site. Arriving on site the site was entrance was well signposted as to where to go and the ladies in the reception couldn't have been more helpful. Coming during Covid-19 I have to say the procedures they have implemented are above and beyond and very reassuring. I collected our keys and carried on down to our pitch. All I can say is wow. The location was beautiful in front of the pond and the site itself is set within stunning surrounds. We went with our 2 children (9 and 6) who enjoyed every minute of being there. The park is ample for them to enjoy and in a very secure section of the campsite. I cannot comment on the facilities as I never used them personally but after chatting with others onsite I got the impression these where immaculate like the rest of the site. We enjoyed our stay so much so that we added an extra night. I have recommend this site already to a family member and will most definitely be returning again.

A very attractive site, split into areas around the bowl shaped pretty hub of the landscape. The shower facilities and amenities are near the entrance and are not new by any means, but they are kept beautifully clean. Being divided into sections makes it feel like you are on a small cosy site. There is an area to suit everyone. There is also some building work going on at present outside one part of the site, but we weren't disturbed by any noise from our plot. We have really enjoyed being at this site. We also look forward to returning in the future. Staff are all very pleasant and keep things maintained very well.
