Beautiful, massive archeological site. The signs are in Bulgarian and English. The museums displays some more pictures, artifacts and models of the different buildings.

Plenty of variety. Museum is wonderful but so are the various pillar designs.

The great first capital of Bulgaria. Must see in the spring.

Very important historical site for every single Bulgarian, yet not perfect touring for the visitors is organized - hard to do it without guidance if you really want to dig under the stones and what is visible. Better get some Q&A in the museum first and then walk through the remainings.

It's a really huge area, with lots of potential tone a good archeological site, but not a lot of maintenance has been done to the site, and it has very poor signage and explanation. On the other hand, the great basilica nearby is quite amazing, with the recent addition of reconstructed walls and pillars that really immerse you in the era and connect you to the grandeur of the building.

The place is very beautiful, it is worth your time to visit it. The Great Basilica was completed in 875 and is one of the largest basilicas in medieval Southeastern Europe. The Great Basilica of Pliska was the largest Christian temple in Europe until the 17th century, until the completion of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican in 1629.

Very interesting to see how the people lived back then. From their clothing, their method of exchange with various coins, their professions, the food supply chain and of course... The gold and precious accessories which can be seen in the vault .

👍👍 One thing that I wish - Bulgarian Government will put up more fund to add English version of each touristic site history so it will be more easier for us to understand behind all of these waxes or letters and so on. And so we can feel the history while visiting this sort of place. If we don’t have...

👍👍 One of the most beautiful and inspirational places I have been to. There is big enough space for cars to park. Strongly recommend to visit it.
