This used to be a great place for people to bring their families to. Nowadays you'll see Filipino guys skating and vandalizing the benches and the greenery. You'll also see a few Filipino ladies who play badminton on the walk way regularly blocking people's way which is totally unacceptable and inappropriate for a family place.

Loads of fun. Especially the little Manila area. Dynamic market with so much on offer. The downside is the food. Nothing really good here. Actually an update to the food. A Korean restaurant cafe has opened up and a really good indian restaurant opened up as well. Try the ginger tea with milk. Only a 100 fils and amazing!

Old Souk Salmiya: A Treasure Trove of Filipino Flavors The Old Souk Salmiya is a unique marketplace in Kuwait, offering a diverse array of goods and a vibrant atmosphere. While not the most polished or modern shopping experience, it holds a special charm for those seeking a taste of Filipino culture and cuisine. Filipino Food Paradise: This market truly shines in its abundant selection of Filipino food. From fresh and frozen ingredients to street food stalls and restaurants, you'll find everything you need to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're looking for classic dishes like Adobo and Pancit or seeking out less familiar delicacies, Old Souk Salmiya has you covered. Bargain Hunter's Delight: The market's prices are notoriously affordable, making it a haven for bargain hunters. From clothes and household goods to electronics and souvenirs, you can negotiate fantastic deals on a wide variety of items. Just be prepared to sharpen your haggling skills! Kids' Fun Zone: Old Souk Salmiya offers a surprisingly enjoyable experience for children. The vibrant stalls, lively atmosphere, and diverse sights and sounds provide ample entertainment for little ones. Parents can even indulge in some sweet treats like Halo-Halo or Taho while keeping their kids engaged. Parking Woes: Unfortunately, parking is a major challenge at Old Souk Salmiya. With limited spaces and narrow lanes, finding a spot can be frustrating. Consider parking further away and taking a short walk to the market. Overall: Despite the parking difficulties, Old Souk Salmiya remains a worthwhile destination for those seeking a unique and authentic experience. The sheer variety of Filipino food, combined with the lively atmosphere and affordable prices, makes it a true hidden gem in Kuwait. If you're a bargain hunter, a lover of Filipino cuisine, or simply looking for a vibrant and authentic market experience, Old Souk Salmiya is definitely yes

A nice place to visit in Salmiya, Kuwait. Many stores for Suits and formalwear offering premier suits from 15 to 30KD. Also many money exchange centers present here. Few markets in the inner side offer good grabs of food, watches, perfumes. A nice to visit place if you are at 4th ring road.

They have renovated and made cool sitting areas and fountains. Its now a great spot with food trucks around. But again, like all cool spaces, parking can be a hassle and over crowded.

İ think if it was covered and buildings were renovated, it will be a great monument. However, it is a good space for walking
