I don’t normally eat in places with fluorescent lights, but the reviews on this place were real good, so I decided to risk it. I wasn’t disappointed! I asked for grilled flat fish (sole), and it and the French fries were prepared to perfection. Not to mention the very kind and friendly service. Just don’t expect any luxury and you’ll be ok…Forgot to mention the complimentary bread, olives , goat cheese and mint tea!

This restaurant has the BEST tajines and couscous plates. There are also vegetarian and gluten free options. I highly recommend the ginger tea and Moroccan soup, it was the perfect pairing for a chilly Tangier night.

The lamb tagine was outstanding. The couscous was nice with the skewers as well. The squid was really nice too. Everything was really wonderful except for the lentils. The lentils were very bland unfortunately. The staff were very friendly and welcoming even though the place was full and with a bit of a line. We got there around 7:45 without a reservation and had to wait about 20-25 minutes or so. Really nice restaurant.

Delicious food, so fresh and clean place. The best choice for the first dinner in the city. We tried a lot of restaurants in Tangier and at the end always coming back here. Super friendly staff with good portions and cheap prices. They give you goat cheese, olives and home made bread as a starter free of charge. At the end they give you Moroccan tea and sweets also complimentary. Truly recommend!

Echoing all of the amazing reviews. Best tagine we had (lamb) in our week in Morocco. Beef couscous was delicious. Moroccan salad and lentils (pretty much Dahl) starter was delicious too. Bread hot and fresh from the oven with garlickly olives and a kind of herby cheese (complimentary). Would wholeheartedly recommend, lots of tables no reservation needed midweek. Locals were eating here later in the evening too. Free tea to finish and sweet treat - only complaint was the tea comes VERY sweet as in most of Morocco so we couldn’t really drink it as we were so full! They’d ran out of fish soup too but no problem for us

Delicious food. Excellent service. Lovely host and chefs. Spotlessly clean. Our toddler was made welcome and generously given a juice on arrival, biscuits and the chef was delightfully generous in playing with him. Tea and biscuits as standard after our meal. We weren't starving but ordering beans lentils and salad, it was the best I've had in all our travels and my partner is Moroccan. Lots of care and attention. We plan to come back, but with much more of an appetite so we can try everything. Shukran!

Outstanding meal!! The best Moroccan food I’ve had and for a fantastic price. The meal was finished with some tea and pastry. A must go. We split the lentils and lamb couscous for two people and it was the perfect amount of food.

Food was excellent and they were fast. They offer you an aperitive with the drinks and free tea with pastries at the end. They were kind and friendly with us. I would definetely recommend this place.

Clean! The food was typically Moroccan. We've been wanting to find a traditional place, inside the Medina. Food was delicious. They invited us with Green Tea and a traditional sweet pastry. Really nice. Price. 195DH. Moroccan Soup. Chicken Tajin. Fried Fishes. Three beverages. And the place was really clean!

When you are staying or are exploring the old town of Tangier, this is THE restaurant you should visit! We (2 people) had the mixed seafood, sardines and lamb couscous, and, oh my god, was it heavenly. The portions are big, the food is fresh and prepared excellently. Next to that, you get a complementary mint tea and pastry after finishing your meal! And for such a good price. Needless to say, we left a tip and advise everyone to do the same.

I was starting to feel sorry for myself about the quality of restaurants in Tangier, until I came to this one. Great service, so many special little touches; served me a delicious cheese before my meal and asked if they could treat me to a Moroccan tea after my meal, then brought around a basket with a wonderful little pastry. Affordable and in a great location. Highly, highly recommend.

Delicious food and incredible generosity from the manager (I did not have enough cash, he was like it’s fine eat and pay me tomorrow) then he brought us green tea and sweets on the house! Highly recommended

Divine meals and charming owner/staff. They had a great sense of humor with high quality preparation/food. Loved the ginger and mint teas plus the theatrically skilled tea pouring!

We tried the cuscous and it was good, but I was expecting more since everyone hypes it so much. It was really good at the beginning, but then the flavor started fading away and just tasted like plain pasta (flour). However the service was amazing, they even gave us some free pastry at the end.

Great place; the last of our Moroccan food experiences after 5 days between Fes, Chefchouane and Tangier. Definitely one of the better restaurants we tried: good selection of local dishes, very good quality, very good prices (prices seem recently updated). Staff very respectful, patient and helpful - totally faultess. WiFi available.

What a great place, will visit again! Started with a complimentary goats cheese with black olives and some local bread. Followed by a fish soup that was so good. Then a lamb 🐑 tajine What a tasty place! will visit again.

Good, but there are also better places. Tbh, for money that we paid for tagini I would expect a more beautiful ambiance (it's not that it is important for me how it looks like but then they should reduce the price) . Food is good, but El Fassia in Marakesh is another world for this one. Anyhow I would recommend this place if you are in Tangier since meat was 7 out of 10. Delicious meatball tagine, and the fish steak was so tasty, came as swordfish and tuna, really filling. Great service, complimentary tea and sweet treat after the meal aswell. Highly recommend.

The best laham tajine i ever had anywhere in morocco. The fish soup was pathetic. One can just skip that. One star less for the fish soup. It smelled too much fishy .

Really good beef couscous. Seafood platter was really value for money though some of the items (calamari and shrimp) did not taste fresh. Service was attentive and we were served complimentary bread with goat cheese, biscuits and Moroccan mint tea as well. Cash only.
