One of the Largest & Famous Zoo in Karnataka with wide variety of animals and birds. Entry fee is 40 per head. Parking fee of 30 or 40 Rs for Two wheelers. You can find Drinking water & WASHROOMS infront of parking area. Safari of 30minutes cost separate ticket of 150 Rs per head. One hotel is there with Tea/Coffee, Maggi, Puff n other snack. (Hotel is of OK OK Types) Worth visit!!!

You will feel like you're going inside the jungle , Inside jungle the you feel like you are inside the zoo and animals coming to see you. Lions and tigers will come close the to the vehicle. Moreover , you can smell the lions and tigers, when they reach near the bus . You will definitely enjoy the safari .

Good place to go outing with family and friends. It is just 10 km from Shivamogga on Sagar highway. Tiger,lion Safari , small Zoo , kids play area are worth to visit. Small restaurant inside serves good food with reasonable rates. Not much variety foods are available here. Entry fee for park and zoo is Rs 40.00 for adults and Rs 20.00 for children. Parking fee for car is Rs 75.00. Safari ticket is extra. It is Rs 150.00 for adults and Rs 75.00 for children. Can spend 2 to 3 hours easily.

Nice place where you can see Tigers, lions, cheetah and deers. You have to pay separate entrance fee (for zoo) and safari fee. The ride is of 30 minutes to see Tigers,lions, cheetahs and deers. Totally a nice place on the main road.

It was quite decent. I had my first Safari in my life. I have saw the lion and the tigers also. A tourist spots which attracts all aged people. Under construction also. Pathway road are not finished yet. Few animals were not there. For Jeep 2000/6pax and Bus 200/pax.

Wonderful place to visit with family for a full day. It's clean and well maintained. The safari might sound to have less animals, but the experience is exhilarating. The staff have to be mentioned here to show their passion towards animals and educating common people like us. Thanks to the drivers and staff at the safari.

Lovely animals of zoo. Zoo is really small but animals are lovely there 18 leopards are available . All are active. Emu the lovely bird which I personally love . 50 rupees ticket charge is there. You can see helping staff there if you need any help. Safari is also available 150 rupees ticket charge.

Worst experience. Pathetic service by the Safari and zoo Staff. After taking ticket for Safari we were made to wait until the entire mini bus gets full. There were more than 10 PPL already waiting and they don't even respond to query w.r.t boarding start. Staff near the entrance behaves as if they are providing free services. Dis interested in every aspect. The Safari guide didn't even bother to stop at animal sightings. The Safari and zoo both are not maintained properly. Unclean and unhygienic water areas of animals. No name plates around enclosures. Roads are dug up. Total waste of time and money. Unworthy

Its a good place to hang out. The main attraction is a safari through the park where u will.be taken in a bus caged to protect from animals like tiger n lion . These animals are set free. Its interesting to watch and thwy also have a zoo where there are some good animals . Its a place to spend some time if u visit shimoga..

Place is nice but no maintenance. Zoo is average. On 22/2/20, 7 Tigers, 4 lions. Jeep Safari for only 5 members - 1500rs, Van Safari - 150 for single person. Entry fee 40rs for single person.

Safari is good. They have good number of deers roaming around while the keep is going. But they showed us both tiger and lion as well. Tiger is roaming in forest where as lion is near to den. Not much awesome experience. They have a ZOO as well but I see the maintenance is not good which can be improved.

Lots of monkeys doing there business as usual. So a very great tip is don't carry anything in ur hands. Entrance fee is separate, safari fee is separate. Safari ride is for a duration of 45min where u get to see 3 tigers caged inside and luckily when we visited 1 tiger was right in front of our vehicle. 2 lions are there again 1 caged. And we get to see some black bucks. Apart from safari there is a regular small, very small zoo. A small canteen is available for some snacks.

A good place to visit with family. There a play area for kids, a zoo and safari. Safari is very good as we have dears loin and tigers. There are couple of tigers and tigress. Also couple of lion and lioness. All the three are kept in separate fances. It is good to go for safari early morning. There is construction of roads going on so it is not very smooth ride.
