A must visit when in Lebanon. Historical town of Saida, 30 min away from Beirut. Spend few hours strolling around the ancient streets, spice market and buy yourself some delicious traditional Lebanese sweets.

Lovely to spend a few hours strolling around the souk and visiting a cafe or two. Some of the old houses are restored. There are graceful squares and courtyards throughout. Mosques and churches stand side by side. Gifts, sweets and fresh produce abound.

The historical neighborhood of Saida is a hidden jewel. Best if you ask a local Sidonian to guide and show you the inner parts of this historical city. It sits upon layers of civilizations which you can observe through mini museums. Its people are kind, hard working and extremely hospitable.

This medieval charming historical core of old sidon is the most worthy above all the historical cores jn lebanon, it can take you to the old ages with its narrow alleys and sandstone restored buildings.it has many historical monuments that are worth a visit each with 5000 LL enteance suchh as: debbaneh palace, khan sassi, Hammam al jadid, Audi soap factory, in addition to khan al ifranj and school of aisha whch are free of charge

A classic oriental traditional city and market. Very nice to walk in the crowded small roads full with local traditional shops but touristic shops too. The first real encounter with Lebanon real life. Just in front of the castle you can eat a divine falafel in the best falafel spot in town.

Nice old recently renovated city. It’s nice to walk around, there’s a still functioning Hammam and very narrow pedestrian streets with small shops and restaurants.

A stroll in the historical city of Saida (Sidon) is a must. You can get lost for a couple hours in these antique roads while being amazed by a different scenery at every turn. From the souks to the houses, everything reminded me of a set of the Disney movie Aladdin. It felt like a trip into the Arab and Lebanese culture.

A very fine place to walk and admire. There are plenty of old-style stores that sell a variety of local products. 30-60 minutes is needed in this place.
