Only reviewing the pottery class here. We came for the beginner 20 dollars experience for a fun activity - their teacher Ahmad did not make this class enjoyable and did the whole work himself rather than make it a fun activity. It was a let’s finish your pot quick and move on to the next in line, literally touched the wheel for 2-3 minutes total. Also the pots are not fired so what you take from the activity isn’t a useable pot. The class was rushed, and was not a worth it experience. Would not recommend.

Memorable getaway and breathtaking scenery. Excellent facilities and very friendly staff always greeting you with a smile. The food was excellent and overall services offered were of high standards. Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to switch off and spend a few days of utmost relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of daily routine. It was an amazing time spent in the beauty of nature and definitely good value for money. I certainly look forward to visiting this exquisite resort again.

We were at Bkerzay for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The entire experience was sublime. The food and service was fabulous. The views were exceptional. We got to take a tour of the rooms and we will definitely be back to spend some time there. We ended up staying there till late in the evening because the place was as close to perfection as can be imagined. Post lunch coffee and cigars at the Piazza and a wonderful conversation with the owner who gave us the story of the inspiration for the hotel. What a great day. Thank you Bkerzay! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful place. Great activities and atmosphere. The food and service are EXCELLENT. However it’s a bit overpriced for the room you are getting. Smaller than expected. But overall beautiful experience.

Overall experience is above good, The food/kitchen needs more gastronomical attention; taste of food is plain. Note: consider putting shades/fixed umbrellas above the outdoor table & chairs in the terrace to be able to use them in the winter. Thanks Bkerzay for the lovely & quiet vacation i enjoyed my stay.

We enjoyed 4 fabulous days at Bkerzay in October. We are a family of 7 adults traveling around Lebanon from Boston. The grounds, architecture, rooms, meals, staff, service, game room, artisinal gift shop, pottery, hammam experience, and even the hand soaps were beyond our expectations. It was obvious that the resort is a labor of love and every detail is intentional. There was nothing touristy about it. Our family felt loved and cared for by the family who owns and runs the resort. They made every one feel like family...pure Lebanese hospitality at its finest. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and look forward to going back when we're in Lebanon again.

Amazing location, service is good people are nie however the restaurant is not ideal , portions are very small and prices are normal 8$ for an ashtrey size of hummus is not really lebanese. One piece of arayes was not well cooked so they replaced only the piece ( at least bring the full portion if you dont want to discount it from the bill…). Overall fair but can be much better.

We went to Bkerzay hotel to try the restaurant, and it was 100% worth it. The location is great, the view is breathtaking. Old style Lebanese houses like a small traditional village. The smell of lavender and rosemary is all around. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Average for 2 persons 100$ Definitely highly recommended.

Great place, amazing view! But I give it 2 stars; bad food and bad management of the restaurant, the salad was not fresh at all, we ordered a burger (meat well done) which was served like medium and they forgot the pizza that we ordered.

I usually don't write bad reviews about new places I try but this experience was very much disappointing. I went to Bkerzay to have lunch and was very disappointed with the food they serve; we had to wait 45 minutes for mediocre burgers that didn't even hold together, the meat wasn't seasoned, the bun was dry, no sauces and the fries were cold and soggy. For the prices they charge you for, one would expect something a bit more finished and satisfying. I don't think I'll give this place another shot.

So, this is one of my new most favorite places in Lebanon. I genuinely enjoyed my stay. I took the room with terrace, and it was that terrace that made all the difference. Stargazing is an activity I genuinely enjoy, and the outside space made this possible. The restaurant, the room service, the reception, all were fantastic. Bkerzay is, of course, a getaway, a retreat, and I cannot think of a better place for nature lovers. Pets are allowed, and that was a huge plus. Guests in reasonable numbers (one or two) are also allowed, which allowed me to take full advantage of the terrace. The restaurant produces great dishes. Nothing out of this world, but nothing bad either. My spa experience, however, was not a good one. This is where the fifth star was lost in my rating. The one-hour massage turned out to be a 45-minute massage. The employees there seemed at a loss and did not direct me around the spa facility well. They seemed like they just wanted to be done with me so that they could go home. The masseuse seemed timid, and the massage itself was a very boring and dull one. All in all, a wonderful natural retreat, but the spa is in dire need of better management.

(From our April 2023 visit) This one of the highlights of our trip. Bkerzay is truly a wonderful place which celebrates Lebanese identity, heritage and nature. The staff were incredibly helpful and Zeina the manager made us feel right at home with her lovely hospitality and, told us how this project of passion came about. From an economic social point of view, it was evident this ecolodge offers employment to local youths, which is very much needed in The country’s current crisis. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the terrace restaurant is simply amazing overlooking the beautiful Chouf mountains. And there is so much to do, from spa, hikes and pottery. It was sunny and warm in the morning, and we chilled by the lodge’ cosy chimney in the evening. The next day we went to Beit Ed-Dine palace which is only 15 mins drive. For anyone wanting a great getaway in the lebanese mountains, we strongly recommend this beautiful ecolodge.

We stayed in the Terrace room which was nice and comfortable. The breeze on the terrace on a hot day is lovely. The view from the restaurant is great and scenic, the food is tasteful and worth its price, the waiters are extremely slow and un-attentive which can be very annoying. The pool area is nice when there aren’t kids around but the water is pretty cold. Would be great to add snacks around that would definitely upgrade the location. There was some noise from nearby workers who we asked reception to tell them to take a break and they did which was relaxing.

It’s a great place. Hidden gem. Old style Lebanese houses like a small traditional village. Really enjoyed the feel and the concept. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous so is the food. Wine is a bit pricey as taking into consideration that it is local and it’s 10-15 times cheaper in the supermarket. They offer pottery classes which unfortunately we missed but would definitely do once we come back. Smell of lavender and rosemary is all around. 2 small pools, bigger one with the view and smaller one for kids. Rooms are clean. All in all it was a great 2 night stay with the family.

Worth the hype? Indeed yes. Worth money? Somewhat YES and NO. We couldn't afford more then 1 night to be honest (280$ including breakfast). YES cause the room was gorgeous, we had our own private townhouse with awesome views and garden. We really enjoyed this little compound and it was so relaxing and beds are comfy. the pool area is very relaxing and the service and food is good. There is a room with a bar and all sorts of games But NO for 1. the buffet on weekends in 40$ and not including drinks. I dont eat meat or chicken so I ended up eating the appetizers which is ok but when you pay 40$ you expect a decent meal. The restaurant manager was not only rude and hasty and telling us to eat quickly b4 4pm as he had to clear the buffet (he actually said that he will keep the desert buffet till after 4pm and to take our time but then cleared it by 4:05) . he also said there were no rooms available for that night and for the entire summer! Lol and then we stayed that night after going to reception. 2. Quite stingy on the water availability in the rooms. 2 small bottles only for 2 people 3. I did the pottery class the next day which literally lasted for 10 mns for 25$. They had said it was 45mns at least. The teacher guy couldn't be bothered to show how to decorate it and didn't let me experiment when molding the clay on the machine... He let me touch it for 5 mns only and did the rest himself.......They know they have a beautiful spot with awesome facilities but its pricey!

We were there for desert and rest midday, and the experience was nice. Despite that the restaurant slow service and that the chocolate fondues were served cold. The weather was amazing, though it was too hot in beirut, and the restaurant view was calm and refreshing. They offer a clay class and there are board games in a close cafe. If you are planning for lunch, make a booking ahead of time and book a clay session for your kids at least 2 days ahead as it is fully scheduled.

The whole experience was RIDICULOUS!! We didn’t stay at the hotel but we tried their restaurant for dinner ! The food took so long to arrive ,without to mention that no drinks were served before , instead it arrived after the food ! The portion of some dishes was ridiculously small and extremely expensive (taking in consideration the portion size )! We were 12 but only the food for 10 people arrived and not all at once ! We had to cancel our 2 remaining dishes and went somewhere else to eat !! Last but not least , the service !!!!! It was horrible , the waiter who took the order seemed not sure of anything , didn’t know how to answer our questions and looked puzzled most of the time ! It’s such a shame to manage such a beautiful place in such horrible way !! Really disappointing!

Fantastic hotel with astonishing views everywhere, our terrace room had an amazing views of Lebanon mountains with a spacious comfy terrace, room was very clean and comfortable, both restaurants are very cozy and we really enjoyed the food there although it was pricey, staff were helpful they even sent us stuff that we forgot to Beirut, pool is great but cold, beware of the hiking trails of Baakline forest there, it’s tricky and you can get lost easily

Bad service, the food is not fresh, the burgers took so long and the kids had to wait for more than 30 mins to get their food, the management of the restaurant is bad, they have a rude manager who doesn’t know how to deal with people, not worth it the distance or the money . For the rooms: needs a lot Maitenance, the pool is not clean, and the service is really bad

Beautiful bed and breakfast in the middle of Shouf. I have visited this place 5 yrs ago when it was recently opened and kept coming back to it. Every year the expand it a little. The service is great. The family suite was so authentic and beautiful. The food is really good. Very family friendly place, my kids were running around, discovering nature, doing pottery and swimming.

Had a late lunch at their restaurant on our way back from chouf, and enjoyed a quiet afternoon walking around their location. All areas are green, they have a hammam and its so quiet and zen. Perfect for a weekend getaway to clear one's mind. For lunch, we recommend the kafta, crispy cauliflower, kale salad, makanek, hommos, batata harra, fries and cheese rolls. They were very tasty. We also had pumpkin kebbe, fattouch and taouk but would not recommend them based on our personal tastes. The fattouch was not balanced and the taouk was not fresh. Other than that, everything was perfect. The location is great, the view is breathtaking and the service was very fast.

Went to try the restaurant, and it was 100% worth it. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. You can catch a beautiful I'll view of the sunset from the restaurant too. The batata harra here is soooo good. But also everything else we ordered. Would 100% recommend.

One of the very quiet and astonishing places in Lebanon! The view is breathtaking and the experience of walking and pottery making takes you back to good old days. As for the restaurant/terrace it has that beautiful view and good taste of food/dessert. Much recommended.

Very nice place to escape everything, enjoy nature and pottery, a massage and just relax. The idea is a great one , to have an all green project , shisha and smoking are not even allowed. Bring your own food because its overpriced and not very tasty.

All the heaters turned on the room was freezing. We ordered firewood for the additional heating and the guy was on break and it took almost 2 hours for him to arrive. The whole resort has 1 guy working and he is on break half the day. I would've much rather stayed in a normal five star hotel for the same price with normal room service and normal heating. Did not feel the luxurious experience it's advertised to be. Felt more like a winter survival experience.

We decided to go to Bkerzay on my birthday and it was a great idea because once you arrive you will sense the peaceful vibes and energy that moves you to another world. Its a place that has everything you need for a perfect weekend all in one place. I highly recommend it for people seeking calm vibes, great service, friendly stuff and an unforgettable experience.

Visited bkerzay for Sunday lunch. The ambiance was great and the service was amazing especially by our waiter Samer who was very helpful and responsive. Unfortunately, the food was much below our expectations. In comparison to the prices and the restaurant’s reputation we expected to have a better experience. We ordered several dishes, batata b kezebra, chef salad, fries, chicken with herbs, soujouk and the burger. The only thing we liked was the chicken with herbs. Overall, it was a fine experience.

Bkerzay concept is very attractive for people aching for a mountain retreat. To benefit from the zen experience you will need at least 3 days to unwind. Everything about this place speaks of taste, quality service, respect for the environment and the culture. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Peter the bell boy. The food is also authentic and good. The room we booked was clean and spacious but there were few things that required the management's attention. For example the insect screen needs replacement, the wardrobe was old and covered with old, stained papers. It smelled moldy and we could not hang the cloths. The centre coffee table legs design made me trip 3 times. The bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint, etc.. We also liked that the management took extra measures to accommodate people with disabilities but more is required in terms of placing ramps in different locations, especially the restaurants and pool. We would definitely come back to enjoy a better experience!

I came and spent the entire day at Bkerzay, starting at 8 am with a private hike in Horsh Baakline with the most knowledgeable and friendly guide Marwan. I was later greeted to an amazing lunch by Nidal and his team. The place, the hike, the views, the hospitality cannot be described in words. Special thanks for Randy and Karim for helping me plan the day. Next time, I will book super early so I can sleep at this beautiful place.

We went there for the pottery classes and it was actually a very nice class and we enjoyed it especially because the teacher was so nice and helpful! However we decided to have lunch at the restaurant, we ordered a few things including the goat cheese salad. Their prices are very high but I understand that this place is considered fine dining, however when you order a goat cheese salad you’d expect actual goat cheese on it. The salad arrived at our table with only arugula and cherry tomatoes so we laughed and told the waiter that something is missing in our goat cheese salad so he immediately smiled and took it back to the kitchen to fix it! When he came back 20mins later the salad was exactly the same + ONE mini toast, split in half, each of them containing the scrapes you find at the bottom of a goat cheese container. We were so shocked so we just didn’t say anything because i could not believe that they would serve us a goat cheese salad that contains at the most 8grams of goat cheese crumble. I just don’t understand how you can charge 380,000LL for a plate that i could make at home with 15,000LL worth of ingredients. I’m pretty sure they were actually out of goat cheese and instead of telling us to pick something else they decided to get around it somehow! 🤣🤣

Absolutely stunning hotel with phenomenal service, great hospitality and great food. I strongly recommend to stay a few nights at the hotel. They were extremely accommodating of our last minute requests and the actual stay was incredible and so so warm in terms of hospitality and location. We loved spending a night here to cozy up and write out visions for the coming year. The food was also extremely and the room super nice. We ended up getting the duplex room which was super cozy and well designed and styled. Will come back for sure!
