Very good hostel for a very good price. You have everything you need, a fully equipped kitchen, nice bedroom and a lot of space. Additionally Mahmood is one of the kindest and most helpful people I've met in this beautiful country.

I found the team helpful, the hotel isn't measured by stars... this the only place that would rent you out a room in the old souq of Saida.. So dont expect from them an amazing service, its something that at least does the job and give you a place to sleep when needed.. for sure, i really urge them to have the rooms cleaned better & wash the covers more often.. :) humidity is there as its next to the sea, so in summer time expect a bit of bad smell on the bed covers itself.. its an old city, old hotel with few rooms & amazing food & coffee shops around the hotel. last but not least, the saida people are so generous, brave & very helpful!

Well very original! Actually everything working. I personally like this place. Could need some smart renovation... but so as it is... very authentic! :)

An old building complex within the grand bazaar. The towels and linen must be old as the building. Be aware and get ready for mosqito fleet!

I so want to write something nice about this quite beautiful and original hotel, it's like something from an Agatha Christie novel, full of lovely original features but it needs a lot of money spending on it. Good bits. Free WiFi. Central location for the old part of the city. Working (sort of) air conditioning in the bedroom. The adhan from the beautiful old mosque nextdoor was amazing and not a recording like you get from most. The staff were friendly and did their best. Soap in the bathroom. Bad bits. The bedding had not been changed from the previous hairy sweaty individual. We asked for a change and they had to buy new sheet and pillow cases for us. The sheet was way too small and ripped when we tried to put it on. We saw the mattress... We feel the mattress had seen a murder. The pillows possibly were white at one point, now they are solidified sweat. Fortunately the power kept cutting out (normal for Lebanon) so I did not have to see the full horror. My olfactory senses were already screaming. The bed was the noisiest ever and with a light sleeping baby it meant we had to not move at all lest we woke her. My wife had to sleep under a towel as no clean blanket had been provided. The floors were sticky... Everything was sticky Bathroom was ok sort of, it just needed a deep clean. Soap was provided. Something moved in the room when we entered at night, I am going to be generous and say it was a lizard as the alternative is grim. It's expensive given you have a grim bed and no breakfast. It could be so so so so so nice. I wish I had money to buy it and do it up.

The hostel is very clean (bathroom, beds, kitchen). The WiFi works perfectly and the view is beautiful, especially in the morning with a good cup of coffee. It is not located nearby the city center, but Mahmoud (the host) has the best tips for good transport to and from the hostel and is always reachable in case of need Also worth mentionning is that Mahmoud is very helpfull and gives good tips and do's and don't 's about a pleasant stay in the southern part of Lebanon.

Even though the hostel is a bit far from the city, there is taxis or bus to bring you to the center. Mahmoud is a very kind and helpful host. He will try to make your stay as good as possible which is enjoyable for your trip in Sidon!

if you are into staying in serenity of nature, this is the right place. The hostel is new, superclean and well-designed. The view is breathtaking. Public transportation is available then walking in between the marvellous cedar trees for only 1 km. The owner is so friendly and helpful, picked me up from Saidon main square by his car. Mahmoud is so knowledgeable about Lebanon attractions and guided me. you can find fliers of most of Lebanon touristic sites. The place is inspiring about travelling the world especially the big map on the wall; don't miss a photo with it.

Very nice and clean hostel. Mahmoud was very kind to pick us up from the bus station. It’s a bit far from the city center but it’s easy to take the bus or taxi from the main road.

(Translated by Google) Very nice stay at Saidon Hostel, Mahmoud is very helpful and the hostel has great views! It is a bit far from the center but easily accessible by taxi-service, and located on the road to Jezzine, which is convenient to visit the area. (Translated by Google) Super hostel near Saida, very accessible even without a car (bus, taxi). Mahmoud is a very welcoming and helpful host. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living space pleasant and a large terrace overlooking the mountains. We highly recommend this property for a short stay in South Lebanon! It's wonderful to wake up and to breath the fresh air from the mountains all around that makes a huge difference in staying in the cities. Communication with Mahmoud is smooth and he's very helpful. But we think that the hostel needs more effort to be a welcoming place to stay for a longer time and enjoy the tranquillity that nature offers. Here some suggestions for you (coming from our travel experience in various hostels worldwide) The room is very humid, it smells damp. In place of the dusty blankets, duvets are a better solution, we think. The bathroom must be cleaned once a day at least and the trashbin emptied from the toilet paper. The common space and the terrace could be more cozy with some pallets and cushions and some lights and with less random stuff that doesn’t belong there. In general, the place misses personality and care. Also to spend a few hours there as host it gives more personality. We wish Mahmoud all the best for his business: V,D,F :)

(Translated by Google) We were happy to finally find a hostel on our way (rare in Lebanon!), And this one is rather clean and well equipped. It lacks a little sofa-style furniture in the living room and on the terrace to feel really good! A little out of the mountains but easy to find a cheap taxi, especially when we arrived, Mahmoud came to pick us up in town. He remained very responsive to our messages and questions throughout our stay. Ideal place for backpackers.

100 percent recommend people visiting Saidon stay here! Excellent communication with the owner (over WhatsApp) who's amazingly helpful and friendly. Being 10 mins from the centre isn't a problem as very generously we were picked up when we first arrived and then having dropped off our bags we were driven back to town to explore. Plus the views alone would make it worth it! Hope to visit again :)

I found it online! It was easy to communicate on WhatsApp! My flight got delayed and the owner still waited for me till 4 am to open the door for me and helped me next day to rent a car. He was answering my messages and helped me a lot. Great service, clean and nice place to stay. The view is amazing with VERY reasonable price. If I go there again definitely I’ll stay there. I highly recommend it.

(Translated by Google) The rental of Mahmoud is exemplary, so useful for a cheaper tour of southern Lebanon. It works like a real professional, from care on arrival until payment, attention marks etc. It is true that it is more convenient to be motorized for this accommodation, but things are possible if you are patient and resourceful. Thank you Mahmoud and good luck for the future (Original) La location de Mahmoud est exemplaire, tellement utile pour une visite à moindre frais du sud du Liban. *I spend 3 nights in Saidon Hostel when i visited Lebanon. The hostel is 5km from the city center, has a terrace, some views, kitchen for those like me want to prepare some meals. It is a cozy place far from the noise and a perfect place to explore Saida and south of Lebanon, and also a great place for a day trip to Tyr, Jezeen and surroundings.*

Lovely stay with lots of help from Mahmoud the host. A great place to stay if you're looking for some time away from Beirut in the mountains. The hostel is very clean and everything is comfortable, there is also a good kitchen. The views at night are very nice. The location is a bit out of the way, but is not a problem with taxi and bus.

The host Mahmoud was excellent - easy to communicate with, friendly and very accommodating - he basically met our every request. The location is excellent. Not too far from the town yet in a marvellous beautiful location facing the hills. The place was well-maintained and clean with all the facilities you might need. Only thing we faced was that we stayed there on the middle of a terrible storm, so it was cold and the internet was down, but this can't be helped. Mahmoud made sure we all had extra blankets to keep warm. We initially only wanted to stay a single night, but decided to extend the stay given how good everything was!

Cozy and comfortable hostel in a nice residential neighbourhood. It is located far away from the city centre, almost in the mountains, so perfect if you want to chill. It has a big kitchen, but the only thing missing there is a fridge (very much needed in the summer), so I hope Mahmoud will fix this. Otherwise, everything else is fine and the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Uncommon experience to live in a whole hostel alone. Global pandemic changed the world but it did not change this place in any bad way. Of course there is different pace for keeping up with a whole apartment if there is no one traveling at all but the place was fairly clean. The host is very helpful and kind. He gave me a lift from the center of Saida to the hostel which is situated in a calm and beautiful valley. The terrace is great and full of sun and you have an amazing view every day.
