BAD SERVICE BRIAN STRIKES AGAIN I had been my saving my first Indian cuisine experience in Cambodia for Travancore, after hearing so many raving reviews. Three months later I caved in due to craving butter chicken. Unfortunately my experience was ruined by an individual staff member called Brian (who is not the actual owner as stated in previous reviews, the owner is great!). I came for a peaceful lunch but instead I was pestered and stared at by the constantly watching Brian. Fortunately it takes a lot for me to feel uncomfortable, if anything I found his customer service so bad it was comical. The food itself was extremely tasty, although due to the mentioned member of staff, I found out it was apparently reheated and that "I should come at dinner for freshly cooked as it's much better..." The price was also very steep, hence saving it for a special experience. Travellers and expats alike will have to justify the price. Overall the food was very nice and filling, I chose to ignore Brian's comments. Brian even decided my drink without asking because "he knows best." I asked for an ice coffee and he said it's all instant coffee and that I'd like a sweet lassi, he then took away the drinks menu. Luckily for him I often ask for recommendations, I am also not allergic to lactose. I tried to listen to my music but was routinely interrupted by Brian. At first i thought he was friendly and service orientated, but then he started to try and make me order multiple starters and even bring home a meal for my partner?! He actually stopped the small talk interaction abruptly to try and sell more food... A few more interactions later, Brian mentioned he had been here for nearly 3 months which is the same as myself. Brian then told me he didn't actually like Cambodia and preferred "Dubai, etc." But was too old so stuck here not by choice but due to easily accessible visas. Great chat Brian, thanks for telling me the country Ive decided to live in that it's not very good whilst I was eating my meal 👍😂 if you don't like it, at least keep it you yourself or pre/post meal. I eventually had enough and watched something on my phone, cutting him off. Brian then started pacing back and forth in front of me, watching me eat and trying to see what I was watching. It was truly surreal! I don't think he means to give off intimidating energy, I just also don't think he knows how to be front of house or even waiting staff either. At the end Brian kept mentioning to me to leave a review and specifically mention him... "BRIAN"... I said I usually leave a Google review and his face lit up. I don't usually go into so much detail, especially if not needed. But I specifically wanted to share my whole (literally) jaw dropping lunch time experience thanks to Brian. just as Brian so desperately wanted me too 👍 I did have the pleasure of meeting the owner (not Brian!) who was lovely, passionate and endearing about his restaurant, customers and Cambodia overall. He saved this review last minute from a very low rating. Hopefully he manages to either get Brian some training on mannerism, demoted or replaced after seeing this is a reoccurring issue in many recent reviews. The predominantly low scoring issue from all the reviews, is all thanks to one individual's attitude and service skills... Which are yet to be found 🙏

My first time trying real Indian food and it’s in Cambodia, the irony. But this place was actually delicious and we spoke to an Indian local that would verify the statement. Some of the dishes are very very spicy, while others were spicy and flavourful. The prices are a tad expensive for food in this country, but I would still recommend. The atmosphere and decor is very nice and clean. I love the cushions and the bench seats. My only complaint is the bathroom, where it’s smelly before you even walk in. But overall, a good experience.

Just ate here for dinner after roaming around Pub Street looking for something good. One of their customers called me in and told me their food is as authentic as it gets and they were right. First off, the food was delicious and extremely filling! I felt bad, I had to take to go because I couldn’t finish! Totally worth their pricing, which isn’t even that high. Second, the servers are so nice and pretty. They really made me feel at home. Overall, great place — I recommend if you are craving authentic Indian food.

Delicious Indian food. Friendly staff. I would check with them about spiciness if you are not experienced with Indian food. 🙂 If you love spicy food like me then go here try their menu, I wasn't disappointed.👍🏾

A clean and tidy Indian restaurant in Siem Reap. Plenty of veg and non-veg options, reasonably priced compared to other restaurants around. Food is delicious. Staffs are courteous. Owner is a passionate hotelier. So he knows his stuff.

A good Indian restaurant, considered the best in the city center. Serves halal food. The service is fast + the staff is excellent. The restaurant manager is very careful about the customers he keeps asks more than once about the customer's satisfaction with the food. Prices are excellent. The location of the restaurant is excellent in the city center and across from Starbucks.

Was craving for Indian food after 3 days in Cambodia. Wasn't disappointed at all. The food was lovely with authentic tastes, good service and the host was very friendly. Made us feel at home with his conversation. We tried another Indian restaurant there too but this one is way better. You can enjoy your drinks too here, at reasonable rates, if interested.

My wife and I really enjoyed our food here. Brian helped us with a few 50-50 decisions on dishes and then made sure it was all to our liking. I left feeling very full and satiated. I really enjoyed the flavours and hope to be back :)

It's a joy to find this place in the busy Pub Street block of Siem Reap. The place is cozy, the owner is friendly and accommodating, and Bryan is a very congenial staff making us feel comfortable. Of course, the food is soo good! I had vegetarian food, which is reasonably priced. - Mayin

I had dinner here last night and it's very impressive. The food is delicious, authentic and not batch processed. Moreover the staff and person running it were very friendly. I'd recommend the thalis to get a wide variety of dishes.

    1. We ordered sparkling water and he bought out a 3/4 full bottle of still water water in a San Pellegrino bottle. Not impressed. 2. At this level of price I would not expect to have pre-cooked chicken tossed into a curry sauce. Or the curry was reheated over and over. Either way the chicken was dry and eggy (starting to turn bad). The sauce however was amazing. 3. At this price I expect freshly cooked chapatis. These seem reheated. There was not soft and hot… they were like warm and stiff. Positives: The owner is a charming man, art work and ambiance were nice and staff is very attentive.

Even with the high ratings this place it has, I will say it's completely underrated. This is authentic Indian food with plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian meals. The owner is creating something amazing with local art on all the walls and food that is truly amazing. Cannot praise enough, it's one of the best restaurants in the area. Ordered the veg thali, chicken thali, tandoori chicken and samosas. Everything was cooked amazingly well and the chicken was marinated and cooked to be perfectly tender.

I'm so glad I tried this place. Visiting as a solo diner on a mid week evening, I was greeted by Brian the owner and promptly seated. As a westerner the menu looked pretty traditional with a number of familiar dishes all at reasonable prices I was soon tucking into my very tasty starter washed down with a cold beer and Brian was busying himself checking in with all the diners ensuring they were happy and everything was in order. My main was equally delicious (washed down with more cold beer) So a good curry with good service for sensible money and 5 minutes from my hotel. Highly recommended

We came here for our final meal travelling and it was delicious. We got free dips and a poppadoms on arrival, then ordered veggie samosas to start followed by a laal mass, butter chicken and naan. The food arrived quite quickly and was very fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly. We went on a Thursday early evening and it was quite quiet, still lovely atmosphere tho just perhaps could have been livelier/music etc. Definitely the best Indian we have had whilst travelling South East Asia!
