I do love this Osteria, one of the best restaurant during our two week’s trip in Italy. The location is out of the core center but not far at all. The decoration is simple and familial. We ordered the pappardelle and gnocchi as the first course. Super delicious ! For the second course we have tried the liver seasoned with the fennel seed. A little bit over cooked for me but super good ! I recommend this Osteria without hesitation !

Was recommended by our host. Food, service and atmosphere were all a 10/10. Felt just far off the main restaurants to feel special and food was traditional and unlike the other meals I had eaten in Italy at that point. Definitely make a booking. Also I should mention we ate a lot of food, dessert and wine and our bill came to about 20€ each!

We came here to eat on a hot July evening, it was early, so as walk-ins, we were squeezed in at 6:30 under instructions to leave by 8:30 pm, which was no problem. The food service and atmosphere were all excellent, strongly recommend the meatballs and the gnocchi, in fact everything there is delicious.

Great place for some lunch when in Sienna! Highly recommend to book as they don’t have much seating inside. We had to put our name down and come back later as they were full. But so glad we did and went later.

Myself and my partner had the most wonderful evening in this lovely little restaurant we found by chance. You might even miss the outside it is so small and may even think it is a take-away meats deli. However, as you walk through the front of the establishment, you are brought down the stairs to a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous ambience. Prices were reasonable, service was 10/10 and the choice of food was to die for - some really unusual dishes. We ordered a 1 litre bottle of red wine (which to be honest we never usually drink but decided to take a risk) and it was perfect.

Incredible place! Low key with the most delicious food! The bruschetta was exceptional as was the pasta & wine. 🤤 The staff were so lovely and made us feel very welcome, it seems like tourists and locals mix here without any problem. It was our most memorable meal in Italy, thanks so much, you’re doing an amazing job ❤️

One of my favorite meals in Siena! I liked the small and intimate setting, and how passionate the owner was about the food. Great service and well priced. My husband said the Guinea fowl was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend.

As we ended our trip in Siena, we are so glad we spent our last night at Osteria degli Svitati! The food, wine, service, and ambiance were all perfect, and its location just off the over-beaten tourist path made discovering it that much better! Our servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to help us with any questions we had. The food had more of a Sienese flair, which featured local and unique flavors, and really allowed us to get a feeling of the local cuisine. The portions were great, the food was very affordable, and it was all incredibly fresh and delicious! You must, must, MUST come and eat here if you are in Sienna to get a true taste of the local cuisine in the region. We had a lot of great food experiences in Siena, but this took first place. Enjoy!

Simply exquisite! We were served very kindly, even though we arrived at the last minute to make the reservation. The food was delicious and the house wines were delicious too. We didn't get to try the desserts but everything looked very good.

We had a fantastic dinner on a Thursday evening. The service was impeccable and the food very very good. The owner is in charge of the starters and when I asked the waiter he explained to me everything they were displaying in the front counter. Also the house wine was a good choice: a very young wine, with a fruitful taste.

I recommend visiting this place, really nice and courteous staff. We ordered pasta to share and the lady was so nice and actually brought the pasta in 2 plates for us (so thoughtful). I ordered pork tenderloin and my partner ordered a plate with meat and vegetables (forgot to take pictures, I blame the wine) Highly highly recommend their red house wine (Chianti) it was amazing that we each drank a whole liter! I thought the place is cute, yea nothing tooooo special but it’s cute. I’m deducting one star because of the food portions only as the food was super delicious and flavorful. We were not rushed and had a great time. I was reading the reviews prior to posting mine and I see that the owner addresses the reviews being posted, I watch a lot of food tv shows and successful chefs always advise to not get into an argument with customers over reviews, this might impact your business negatively and I wish you all the best :) Ciao!

First restaurant we visited given the google ratings and was definitely one of the best in terms of food quality and price. Highly recommended, we liked the sliced veal/ pork sausage as appetiser, gnocchi was so fresh and chewy, ravioli with cheese and Ragu was also amazing! Lovely staff!

My friends and on were an over night trip visiting Sienna from our study abroad program. We found this restaurant through social media, and it didn’t not disappoint!! We had the best time ever dinning at your restaurant. My friend group of 6 had the best food but also the best experience. You must try the meatballs! At the end the owner came up to us while we were paying and really want to make sure we had a good experience and enjoyed everything. It was so personal and he told us how much it meant to his family that we had a good time. If you’re looking for fabulous pasta in Sienna this is a must!! The house wine as well was fabulous.

Service here was great. They have an English menu and waitress spoke and understood English as well. It has nice interior decoration. Fair prices when compared to the restaurants in the main square/streets. Didn’t have to wait for a table of two around 1pm on Monday.

I was so lucky to get the last table for dinner. The staffs are so nice, highly recommend the meat plate, 7 kinds of Siena local cut, so tasty. We also ordered trippa, gnocchi with homemade sauce, and tiramisu. Everything just tasted perfect. Call ahead to reserve!

My wife and I ate here a few weeks ago while spending a couple of days in Siena and this place is top notch. I grew up spending my summers in Italy eating my Nona's pasta and I am very picky about my pasta, these guys did not disappoint. Though we normally ate outside during our trip, the rainy weather forced us to eat indoors at this Osteria which turned out to be very pleasant as the dining room is very rustic and still makes you feel like you are in the Classic Medieval Tuscan City. For Americans reading the "English" Menu, don't pass up on the "croutons" (a poor translation for "crostini", which are typical Tuscan style toasts with different spreads on top of them (kind of like a Bruschetta but better)). Also, the Tartar was incredible and, of course, the pasta dishes were also very good. Especially like how the place is very reasonably priced (try getting wine, appetizers, a bowl of pasta, a main course, desert, and coffee for two under $70 in the states...)

Lovely place! High-class food for good prices, amazing friendly staff. We went there twice as we liked it so much and as I wanted to try the Polpette (meat balls) which was sold out the first day so I ask them if they can prepare it the next day and they made it specifically for me, what a perfect service. Thank you Gino and team (hopefully I spelled your name right 😊) we will come again! Ps. Dear future guests, don’t forget to call them upfront to make a reservation, I called them 3 hours before and was lucky to get a table :)

Against most recommendations to order pasta, I got the tartare.. And I have to say this restaurant is good! Tartare is really good even compare to the one I had in Lyon. Dessert is a fruity nutty cake that was really delicious.. I had similar desserts in the past and I didn’t enjoy it. But this one is exceptional!! Try it. :)

Within the first visit in this restaurant I already knew it was not gonna be my last. If you wanna taste some local Tuscany meals, you won’t make a mistake by going here. The food is delicious, super kind and friendly staff, their tiramisu is increadible, as well the beef tartar or guinea fowl meat.
