Lumley Beach is a place alone the Beach Road to Aberdeen, Freetown. This beach is one of the most popular beaches around Freetown. The beach area is always kept clean. There are a lots of restaurants, malls, bars, and other amusing places where you can by yourself a whisky and almost every food type. And if you are a gulf player or fan, you could have less to worry about as the the country's gulf club is just a stone throw away. This place has a fine beach sand. The tide level increases in the evening. The Lumley Beach is motor accessible. Here you can have fun doing basic sport activities like juggling, gym,... The beach is attracted by tourists and other people. It's always safer out here. Along here, you can also come in contact with Fishermen catching and selling fishes. The air in this place cool and refreshing. I often visit this place at least once a month.

A very long stretch of wonderful beach. One of the best places in Freetown. Crowded on weekends on what is otherwise a peaceful place. The whole stretch is filled with some great restaurants and cafes/bars which makes Sunday night atmosphere so chilling. People throng the beach on public holidays and make the whole street best place to chill. But need to keep the beach a bit more clean.

The place is good Tourism and cool for swimming and even camping for Training and seminars. There are life guard and security to watch and secure everyone from danger doing swimming. The place also has time limits for swimming during the day (5:30 pm) GMT NO one is allow into the water. It’s only that there are sometimes plastics and rubber around the area but the agency are during their best to keep it up to standard.

This wide sweep of beach has lost some of its atmosphere since the 2015 demolition of dozens of bamboo and thatch food shacks, and the numerous, ugly construction projects lining the beach road don't add to its appeal. During the week it feels deserted, save for a few joggers pounding the paved beach walkway, but it comes into its own on weekends and public holidays, when Freetown's residents come out to relax and party on the golden sands. If it's a clean swimming beach you're after, however, better to head out of town to River No 2 or one of the islands. This beach have free entry and its near to town that's why all citizen come there for spend time with family and friends in weekend it's very crowded area be aware from theif and parking is problem in weekends.

This place has water. This place also has sand. So it technically does meet all the requirements for a beach. Because of that I congratulate whoever named this place. Good job guys✌

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach. Depending on where you are, never crowded. It gets crowded on Sundays, as the beach is also popular with locals. It is extreme on holidays, for example. Christmas, New Year. No more getting through in the afternoon, then only chaos in the evening. Pure party. Beach has lost a lot of charm since 2015. All bamboo huts have been destroyed and the bars have been closed. Meanwhile, Neubauruinen and buildings have emerged whose quality of construction leaves much to be desired. And the hotels? Who are they built for? With the circus and the cost of a visa you have to ask yourself, which tourists should come!

Lots of beach bars. And most have the beach cleaned daily of all debris and plastic

It's free, it's accessible, varied restaurants and hotels all around. It's a melting pot of entertainment and leisure in Freetown. The view at night from the 5th floor restaurant of Sierra Palms hotel is amazing! The photos will show that. The beach needs more litter picking hands though.

Lively sand beach, where you can meet various people, football players, fishermans, merchandisers. There are some caffes along it as well. But if is it advisable to swim there i am not completely sure, because off all that trash around. There are not so many places where you can hide from the sun.

The easiest beach to access in Freetown, but not the best you can find! That's further down the coast and a short drive. Usually pretty busy and good for a nice long run. Make sure you wear shoes though as there can be some unwanted sharp things in the sand from needles to god knows what else. Not lots, but you don't want to get caught out.
