I really love planet fitness here in Sierra. The place is very clean. I like the convenience of having the app for checking in and also for reserving classes at the gym from my home on my I love the fact that planet fitness actually offers some free basic training and classes something most of the other gyms don't really offer as well as planet fitness. I always thought this place would be too trendy and too much of a McDonald's for me to plastic. But honestly after being here for a little while I look forward to planet fitness The music is really awesome it is very motivating but it's not loud. Just about everybody here seems fairly civilized and house-trained. Overall I am just very impressed with this. Great job planet fitness Sierra Vista.

While traveling cross country and visiting family we stopped in here for a work out and recharge. Kay, Richard, Joe and Amethyst were amazing and showed us AZ hospitality. This is one of the cleanest and friendliest planet fitness location we have been to.

Judgment free zone, yeah right. Today my husband went to the gym and wore his old gyms shirt, (work out tank that says "hard bodies", again the name of a gym). He has warn this shirt multiple times to this gym. Today he was approached by a worker and they asked him to change or leave as the shirt was "intimidating". Well the husband left. Tomorrow he will be going in and canceling the membership. This gym is just a basic gym. The rumors you hear online of all the drama this club has is true. The only good thing about this gym is its cheaper.

A friendly, clean and orderly experience for everyone…but at what cost? The staff at this PF are always friendly, professional and tirelessly maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment for all members. They routinely patrol the gym and ensure the machines are clean, and that no one is breaking any rules like talking on the phone, misusing the “30 minute workout” section, leaving bags on the floor or generally exhibiting any “lunk” like behavior. I fully support our brave PF staff and denounce any who choose to stray from the PF tenets that are there for our own protection! And I…I would never even think about breaking these beloved rules. But one time when I was filling up my water bottle I, foolishly set my bag down next to the treadmill and was immediately approached and corrected by one of the PF Staff. I carry this shame of breaking a PF rule and the PF staff have increased their surveillance of me… First they came for the Lunks, and I did not speak out because I was not a Lunk. Then they came for the “30 minute workout” misusers and I did not speak out because I was not a “30 minute workout” misuser. Then they came for the “talking on the phone loudly at the gym” people and I did not speak because I was not one of those. Then…they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me. 5/5 would recommend to a friend 😄

Awesome location. We are in town for a bit from NY and want to take the gym home with us!! The employees are very friendly. Especially Joe! He went above and beyond for us a couple times. Extremely accommodating and friendly. He’s a keeper! Clean gym, organized. Not a single compliant

I wouldn't want to hold back now, would I? Planet Fitness, oh joy, where the fitness dream goes to die a slow and painful death. Let's start with their "Lunk Alarm." It's like a delightful symphony of condescension, reminding everyone that working hard is so last century. Grunt while lifting? Prepare for the shame alarm! Because who needs encouragement when you can have public embarrassment? Their equipment? Well, it's a delightful mix of ancient relics and stuff that barely functions. Want to use that treadmill? Sure, just wait in line behind the entire population of a small country first. It's like a museum of outdated torture devices, but with worse maintenance. The "judgment-free zone" is a marvel. They should put up a banner saying, "Welcome, as long as you conform to our definition of 'normal.'" Dress differently or lift heavy? Enjoy the stares that scream, "How dare you try to improve yourself here!" Ah, the amenities. Kudos on the candy bowls at the entrance. Because why bother burning calories when you can load up on sugar on your way out? And the pizza days, oh joy! After sweating buckets, what better reward than a slice of disappointment that screams, "You'll never reach your fitness goals here!" To summarize, if you're into feeling like an inadequate fitness enthusiast, Planet Fitness is your personal hell. One star for managing to crush dreams and enthusiasm faster than you can say, "No pain, no gain." Congratulations on being the gold standard of uninspiring fitness centers! 🎉🍕

My first time at Planet Fitness and it was super friendly, inviting, and super clean. I brought my two teenage sons and their friend because the get to workout for free all summer! They had an amazing experience and are motivated to continue working out through the summer, and I am also.

I love coming here because it’s always so clean. I love the people here! Everyone is so friendly and nice. Everyone is always willing to show me how to use the machines and answer my questions. The front desk guy, Ian is pretty cool too! I appreciate everyone who works here because everyone is always so sweet to me.

The staff is very friendly and like all Planet Fitness locations I've been to, it is clean and well maintained. Overall, I'm happy to be a black card member. I am however slightly dissapointed with this location after moving to Arizona. Unlike the locations in Texas, this Planet Fitness is NOT 24/7. It closes at 10pm on Friday night and is only open 7am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday. I work night shifts during the week, so one of my favorite times to workout is around 2am on a Saturday or Sunday. The fact that this gym is not open then is a drawback. Also (and this is pretty minor), I recently learned that while I can bring a guest with my Black Card membership, for some reason they are not allowed to use the hydromassage after our workout. I understand this policy during busy times. But if it's slow, it would be great if my daughter or girlfriend were able to enjoy that time in the chair too.

Been going 3 months now. Never seems overly crowded. Staff is welcoming every time. Very clean. Just need management to pass on to employees when broken equipment is expected to be fixed. It's going almost a month that an ab crunch machine has been broken and I can't get an answer. Would have given 5 stars if employer/employee comms were better. Other than that - excellent.

Ya'll need to crack down on social media clowns over using equipment. Today I watched one dude in a tank top use the fly machine for 40 minutes. He would do one set and then prance around the ENTIRE gym while flexing in the mirrors. He left his phone and water bottle on the machine the entire time. Staff didn't care at all. There is 1 fly machine and ya'll clearly do not care about people wanting to use it.

Planet fitness is one of the cleanest I’ve been to. The staff is friendly and dedicated. The PF is too small for the amount of people in there. A waste of time unless going during work hours (around lunch), if not don’t bother. Will be no room or availability. Recommend finding another gym if before or after work is your only availability.

Enjoy stopping in after work for a quick yet relaxing workout. Sometimes it's just a quick paced walk; sometimes it's the 30 minute circuit. Always friendly and helpful staff, and notice the crowd is smaller as the week goes in. Weekends are hit or miss with crowds. Really enjoy this environment ☺️

I highly recommend the Black Card if you travel; it allows you access to a nationwide network of gyms. Those gyms are similar to the Sierra Vista gym in that they have equipment, showers and a 30 minute circuit room. The differences appears to be the other gyms have functioning showers with hot water, effective staff, and a monitored circuit room; they’ll actually correct people camping out. Sierra Vista, not so much. It’s more of a private hangout area for boomers. I think I’ll keep my membership for my frequent Phoenix and Tucson trips, and use Jaguar Fitness locally.

When I started here, I was told my bill would be $26.85 per month and a one year charge of $53.00 once a year, they charged me two times a month and every month they charged me a yearly charge. I told them about it they said they would fix it, they never did for 5 months straight, the manager was supposed to call me never did, now I have canceled my membership and still no refund or a call, I'm now going to court over this and I wonder how many other members are being over charged and don't even know it. Stay away from this Planet Fitness they will over charge and don't even care.

Is there a rating less than 1 star? Do not join this club. I've been told for 3 years that my $10.00 per month membership is in collections, and it's not. I've had a Black Card membership for several months and still the club staff continues to tell me that the previous $10 membership is in "collections." On several occasions, I have told the club staff that I will pay whatever is owed, and that I want my checking account information deleted. They try to access the account and tell me they are locked out or cannot access the information. Yet they do confirm that Planet Fitness has my checking account and credit card information. I originated my PF membership at the PF in Sierra Vista 3 years ago. An "assistant manager" named "Louis" told me on the phone yesterday (09-13-2023) that I did not originate my membership at the Sierra Vista PF, and that the billing issues and my inability to buy a protein drink because of the complexities of my membership is "your fault" (customer's fault). I am now extremely concerned about the safety of my personal financial information which Planet Fitness has in their systems. Out of an abundance of precaution, I have elevated this matter to the office of Planet Fitness CEO Chis Rondeau & Planet Fitness General Counsel Justin Vartanian. If you've had any similar issues or experiences, I would encourage you to seek a remedy through Planet Fitness leadership. This company managed to scale chaos in their processes and systems. All of the clubs are franchised. You can't even buy a drink if you're a member of a Planet Fitness from another franchise area. I have memberships at Lifetime Fitness, LA Fitness & Mountainside Fitness in Phoenix. All of them are excellent!! Planet Fitness is easily the worst gym experience of my life. Again, please save yourself some stress and do not join Planet Fitness. Troy Wilde

Edited review: Lowered from 5 stars to 2. I stopped going and finally canceled my membership. Young women seemingly on the look out to get pissed about every glance despite being dressed so that nothing's left to the imagination, people (mostly women) getting pissed you interrupt their filming. Constantly dodging pics in the locker room with young guys taking pics in the mirrors or of each other more days than not. I just want a place I can go to get in a good stretch and workout, people watch between sets (especially those with good form) and, and not having to worry if im going to be the subject of some young ladies video because she's either mad I walked through it or accusing me of being creepy because I happened to look their direction a time too many. Planet Fitness is no longer that place.

Very professional crew working there. Always ready to help. Bathrooms look awesome & i always see an employee cleaning the machines/equipment. I personally haven't taken a class yet but when I see the classes going on, the instructors are very informative & make the class fun.

Hello, so I'm traveling and my home club is in Florida and I found out today that I can only use a non home club only 10 per visits a month. This is the reason YELP only gave this business 1 1/2 stars. $58 dollars to cancel, they just raised their yearly fee, and they waited to the 10th visit to tell me about the 10 visit policy. Oh and you have to cancel your membership in person. Impossible since I'm out of the state. Also no corporate support phone number. BBB is gonna be my next stop.

Good gym and not too crowded. Lots of available machines. The circuit section has six signs stating it’s to be used for circuit training only. 60 seconds on 30 off. But people just go in there and use the machines for regular work outs for 10 plus minutes each. Staff won’t stop them. It’s your rule if you’re not going to enforce it just take down the signs.

Nice people work there Always pleasant Annassa comes to mind great employee. I used to manage people in the federal government. When I see hard workers of great character performing tasks cheerfully they deserve recognition 👏

Really clean and we'll maintained gym. The staff are super nice. Only gripe is they don't offer group classes like other planet fitness locations.

Very nice and huge planet fitness. Everything is great here and very cheap in price. However if you are wanting to cancel your membership like I had to due to work they aren't very good at it and you will keep getting charged even after your cancelation so be sure to double check to make sure it's canceled before you are charged.

It was nice when I started going but they've recently hired some people or shift changes happened, and now people are slamming their weights on the ground, not following the required dress code, stealing equipment from you during your rest period, thinking they're being sneaky trying recording you in the mirror, weights and cable accessories all over the floor, machines and bathroom equipment are constantly out of order, and now the lockers haven't had locks in weeks. I can't expect much though, it's only $10/month to work out here. Update 7/19/23 Still no locks on the lockers, another 4-5 machines are indefinitely out of order, women working out in their underwear while men cant even wear a stringer shirt, cable accessories still laying all over the floor. The only reason worth staying at this gym is that it's $20 cheaper than most other options in the area, but honestly anything else is looking more and more worth the price. Wouldn't be a problem if the equipment got fixed or replaced in a timely manner...

Your typical Planet Fitness experience. Now, there isn't anything wrong with that, but what makes the cake, are the workers. Staff who are not only successful in doing their job and hourly/daily duties but also ensuring that the customer has the best possible experience. Yes, it's just a gym (and a planet fitness to be more precise), but my most recent experience is what made me decide to write this review. I want to thank Brian (who isn't even a full-time member) for not only making sure I was taken care of (caring enough as well to ensure I got the answer I needed), but also going above and beyond at coming back to me with the answer I needed later in my gym session. I've had no issues with any of the other *current staff, and have to give credit where credit is due. Everyone at *this planet fitness really will take the time to ensure that you have the best quality service possible.

Late nights, long weeks, or just looking to get out and get fit? Thus is the place. With the lesser membership you get your own access to the main facility housing multiple treadmill, elliptical and other other machines. Some rowing, stair climbers and more pedal styles. Then there's the weights. Various things for building muscle. With the black card you get to bring another who gets those same benefits, and you get some bonus in the back rooms with water jet massage and tanning booths. Prices are good for the low card, but the black card is a tad pricey if you don't take advantage of your extras.

Very friendly, non judgemental place to exercise at your own pace, with a group or a personal trainer. Neat, clean, open atmosphere with plenty of exercise equipment. Participants are required to sanitize the units that they used and most comply. I never thought I would like going to a gym...but I love this place!!!

Aidan was helpful and knowledgeable. She gave a full tour and explained everything, without missing a beat, and included the prices right to the penny with tax. She did all that without looking at a single resource and was enthusiastic, as well as super friendly. I was very impressed with her service and the facility.

Planet Fitness, a judgment free zone, but are we truly worthy of it? This PF location has maintained its reputation as a clean, safe and friendly location for everyone to pursue their own fitness goals. That much has not changed. What has changed I fear is a darkening and chilling in my own soul as we delve deeper into this cold Arizona winter. Through no fault of PF, I was once issued a correction by one of the diligent PF staff for leaving my bag on the floor momentarily (see my last review), an incident that brought great shame on myself and that I thought until very recently, I had fully emotionally recovered from. Today while I was doing chin ups in the very clean and inviting TRX room, I observed a fellow PF patron leaving their own backpack on the floor. I..I could have taken the high road and let it be, but the pain of my previous trauma begged for an attempt at misguided redemption. I hailed one of the brave PF staff and covertly brought this to their attention. While yes, it is against the rules to leave your bag on the floor at PF, perhaps a more sacred tenet of PF is “PF = no critics”, which is what makes this gym the judgement free zone that we hold dear. While I did point out a rule violation that the PF staff promptly corrected, I feel that I violated the spirit of the judgment free zone in that I used the rules to cast judgment unto others. Perhaps Jesus Christ said it best; “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”, indicating that Christ himself believed in the judgment free zone and does not prove that he was NOT a PF member. In short, PF is the judgment free zone we need, but perhaps not the one we deserve. …Happy Holidays! Would recommend this gym to a friend 5/5 😄
