Update from 4 to 5 stars: We went back the next day, and since I wasn't crazy about their enchiladas, I tried their red and green chile chimichanga. Now that was delicious. I used to love chimichangas, but for the last 20 years, I haven't had an amazing one. HOLD MY HORCHATA!!! This chimichanga checked all of my boxes. It was scrumptious, and they fried it without it being greasy. Yum!!!! We will be back!!! Original Review: The guacamole appetizer platter was delicious. Chicken fajita tacos were excellent. The cheese enchiladas were good. The service was a little slow, but they were busy, and at least 4 different servers would check on us. They were not lazy. We would come back. I would probably try something different than the cheese enchiladas next time. The refried beans do not contain lard, which is important to us. Please like my review if you appreciate honest feedback.

Not working tonight . . . we used the call ahead service to put ourselves on the wait list, they send a text to your phone when your table is ready. We were seated probably within a minute of receiving our text. Our waitress was okay but was clearly rushed and not handling the crowd very comfortably. She took our order just fine, but then . . . nothing for the better part of an hour. No food, explanation, or manager. By now we normally would have given up and gone home, but it was getting later and we were really hungry (67 miles on the bicycle Tour de Tucson = starving!). When asked to check on our food the waitress seemingly did check, told us there was one order ahead of our but then we would be next. Twenty minutes later, not so much. She volunteered that she would be giving us a discount — our bill was about $35 at that point solely because we’d each ordered a large margarita, which, our mistake, was huge! and cost $16.95 each. Our food did finally arrive, albeit the meat for a fajita arrived later so all that was served were the rice and beans. It seemed like about the time we arrived, food stopped coming out of the kitchen. No reason was given? All that having occurred, we weren’t fully mad until we realized the “discount” we were given was $2.97. On a $60.00 to $70 bill? Why bother? The waitress told us that’s the biggest discount they give. Seriously?? That’s just weird! I said, “You probably should tell people that because it’s unreasonable and nothing like what we expected after we heard “discount.” We also said we know it’s not the server’s fault when the kitchen just isn’t getting food out timely. Her goose was likely cooked at that point, but all she said was “Okay, goodbye.” We did leave a 15% tip — because that’s the civilized thing to do, but they need a manager on hand to speak to the customers, and a discount of $2.97 for waiting an hour for our food is somewhere between insulting and bizarre. How could any business think that’s reasonable?! It’s hard to say if the food was good, at that point we just ate to eat. It must have been okay because we did eat it! Not sure if we’d risk that experience again. The problem happens in restaurants sometimes, but we deserved better customer service.

Wonderful place. It reminds me of the old school, Arizona Mexican food I grew up with. Highly recommend.

La Casita was right next to my hotel, Sierra Suites, and a short walk to 143 Taco Street, both of which you should eat if you are in the area. La Casita had lots of rich sauces and a nice house red wine I enjoyed. Everyone I was with enjoyed their food immensely.

I want to give my review to this restaurant that was a great disappointment for us who are Latino and came to visit. First, upon entering, the place is beautiful, very picturesque and very cozy. The food arrived after almost an hour, the waiter threw the food on the table because it slipped (it was an accident) but it's a lack of professionalism, but I like to be fair with what I'm going to eat and it was a great disappointment because as a Latina I know that food was not well made, and it lacked flavor. What I ate was not well cooked and my husband's meat was very hard as if they did not know how to cook it. a GREAT disappointment since I wanted to be a great experience since I'm a Latina and like to support my culture. I wanted it to be of great quality and flavor. But it was not like that. I give the restaurant a 1 for service and 0 for food. I didn't like it at all. Maybe people who like to drink alcohol are fine, but family-oriented leaves a lot to wish for. It's a shame that it has a name that attracts people. It's a great disappointment as a restaurant. I think they should change the manager and put in a cook who knows how to cook well.

We have been before but took my Aunt & Uncle who were visiting from out of state. The server (Sarah I think) was attentive and friendly and the other gal who helped with drinks (forgot her name sorry) was also very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. I was so happy to see mini chimis on the menu and I love these and they were delicious. My husband had the tortilla soup and enjoyed it as well. It was very busy and crowded but overall a lovely visit we would go again. We were catching up so I forgot to take pics sorry.

We visited La Casita Mexican Restaurant on a trip to the South-west and were very impressed. We arrived hungry and left full and completely satisfied. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helped our party of 7 get seated asap even though the place was very busy (always a good sign). The manager stopped by our table twice to chat and ensure we were having a great experience. The helpings are amazing and food delicious....highly recommended if you are visiting Sierra Vista or passing through.

They serve mediocre burnt tacos and chip crumbs and salsa. One paper napkin per person and you will have to beg for more. Another subpar sierra vista restaurant.

Seated immediately. Friendly service. Awesome decor. Food was fresh and hot. This is the best dine in Mexican restaurant in Sierra Vista! Parking in the front is for Takeout/Pickup or Handicap Vehicles. There is street parking and a lot in back.

We stopped here on our way home and it didn't disappoint! I had 5 kiddos with me and the wait staff was very attentive and prompt with our service. I had the chicken molé and it was super tasty!! My kids all loved their food as well.

Two stars. The food is really a solid four. The service on the other hand can be down right disgusting. I have had good service at La Casita, but if your lucky enough to have the rude slim girl as your “server”, she can ruin an otherwise pleasant experience with her attitude. I’ve never bothered to get her name, but you’ll know. If my party is ever seated at her table again, we’ll leave. I assume she’s a relative as no decent restaurant would tolerate that attitude from an employee, nor the poor treatment of their guests. And the owner actually arguing with Yelp reviews…that’s hilariously low class.

Pretty tasty Mexican spot on the main strip of SV. Service was fast and friendly. Food and drinks were great. Prices were decent. Would visit again if ever back in the area for sure.

Honestly I'm very patient and understanding but it was more than 15 minutes before we got a drink AND that's AFTER we asked 2 other people for them. It wasn't any better from there. The food tasted good.

Great food, atmosphere and service! Tables are slightly close... Once that pineapple margarita kicked in for the ladies at the next table, we were all friends! Literally could hear their entire conversation, what they planned for this weekend. Loud ladies did not ruin our evening, just feel it's a bit crowded. Will continue to return for delicious food, and the only tacos my 5yr old will eat!! 😁😁😀👍

Manage your expectation when it comes to Mexican food! The atmosphere is pleasant and easy access to parking, and friendly staff. The meat quality was ok for my beef fajitas tacos. I came here with a higher expectation for good Mexican food since the border is not too far away. However, the booze was excellent and highly recommended if you want good drinks to catch up with friends.

La Casita catered my grandbaby's baby shower and they did a fantastic job! They had a lot of food options and the food was to perfection! Thank you La Casita in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Excellent experience. Got seated fast at lunch time with a packed restaurant. The food was quick, service was good and the quality and taste was excellent. As someone who came from the east coast and struggles with Sonoran Mexican food, this was amazingly good. No complaints all around.

The food was great. The service was good. Everything is made authentic. I will say you will wait a while but the staff and the food is always good.

The decor is charming, and I'd go back to enjoy the bar atmosphere and beauty, and have a Margarita and chips. I don't remember what I ate, just remember that it was very disappointing. Husband didn't care for the tacos. The restaurant is a beautiful haven, but needs better food.

Easy to locate/see from the street. Parking is plentiful. Decor is fun and creative. Server was oddly rude at the start. We almost left. She turned around about halfway through and was ok, maybe even pleasant by the end. Food was pretty good. A tad too salty for my taste, but I'd guess most would appreciate it. It was very pricey for what it was. Don't know the local economy. Might be average for the area 🤷‍♀️ What was weird was the size of the chip basket... aside from most of ours being crushed into bitty pieces (lol) it's like a baby-bowl (see picture) Finally, and this is personal... but the ceiling fans crossing over the skylight window created a nauseating strobe that ended up cutting my meal short (lol) that was a new experience. 3 stars for neutral rating. It's colorful. It's ok tasty. It needs improvement with customer focus. Might benefit in adjusting the placement of ceiling fans... Would I return? Definitely No.

Good overall experience. Our waiter was just okay. The waiter at the table next to us went back and asked the customers if they wanted more tortillas and drinks, ours never did.

First the restaurant was very busy, totally worth the 20 money wait. Waitress was exceptional with drink and food recommendations, fast friendly service and the food was excellent. I will go back just for chips and salsa, the spicy is the best... I highly recommend.

Excellent food, drinks and service! The best Mexican place in Sierra Vista! The only advisement is be careful parking in the back! Front parking is for handicap access and to-go orders!

It took 1 and 1/2 hours to get our food. When it finally came it wasn't the best I've eaten. I had the chicken mole. It wasn't bad it just wasn't good. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was concerned about coming here because of negative reviews if customer service but our server was GREAT! She was friendly, attentive and informative. The atmosphere is super cute and a perfect spot for a date night, or family dinner. The wait took about 15 minutes. The food is decent. Not the best. Or the worst. Pretty pricey but not sure if that’s just regular AZ prices. Would come back.

It’s been years since we last dined in La Casita, and I cannot say enough good about our visit! They made sure my chips were fresh and gluten-free! And because it was my birthday they gave me ice cream in place of the standard sopapillas. We had enchiladas that were fresh, hot and perfectly seasoned. No one left hungry, for sure! The ambience was perfect, the food hot and plentiful, and the prices comparable.

Salsa is the best had to stop in to bring some back to Oklahoma fast pleasent service especially as soon as they opened the young man at register was quick and efficient. Will always come when I'm in Sierra Vista.

The food was great and the potions were large. My wife especially loved her prickly pear margarita. The reason for a docked star is because our waitress (I forget her name) rarely checked in on us and some requests took quite a bit of time for her to get back to us, even a simple request for more napkins. Other waiters and waitresses in different sections of the restaurant were accommodating their tables much more than ours, ours at times would vanish for 10+ minutes. Aside from that, the food was good and we loved the atmosphere, hopefully our waitress issue was a one-off fluke.

I ordered to go on Mother's Day. It was packed but they were pretty quick. Got my large order in only 20 minutes. Food taste great and we love their spicy salsa...

  • 3/5 Michael W. 1 year ago on Google
Food taste amazing! However that's about the best of it, the service tends to be pretty hit or miss, where they are quick or you just never see them again and you have to get up and get someones attention. And the food is super nice when they aren't messing up and giving you the wrong order Not to mention you can get your food in like 15 minutes or an hour and a half Oh and nice atmosphere

Had the shredded beef hard shell tacos. Beef was well seasoned and the shells that are made fresh are a standout. Very light and crispy without oiliness. Would definitely come back if in the area again.

My brother was so impressed with the salmon tacos. He's a salmon conisseur and was skeptical but upon waitresses assurance he ordered and is still raving about them. Our food was delicious as well. Cant wait to go back for salmon tacos next time.

Well the service wasn't what I'm used to they didn't give us plates for chips and salsa but food was great as I would usually expect but did seem like Avery long time for them to make it

Horrible service. The food was nothing to brag about. Asked the waitress twice for ice my husband finally had to go to the bar and get the ice himself. Then she never checked on us, Till way later. Asked her for a refill wich I also never received. Will never eat here again.

The food was good and the staff worked hard in a busy place. Wish there were a few more vegetarian options for my taste. Don't bother with the margaritas, I had a large and it should have knocked me off my feet, but nothing

  • 4/5 Michael B. 1 year ago on Google
The menu is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant, but the food was very well prepared and tasted great. Service was a bit slow. The atmosphere was noisy and chaotic, due to several families with small children. There were few options for vegetarians. Parking was not very convenient.

We arrived at the perfect time...five minutes later, the dinner crowd showed up. In other words, we were quickly seated. The food was great, my having the carnitas plate and my boyfriend, the three-enchilada plate. While we waited for our food, we were impressed by the hustle of the restaurant staff. They were bustin' moves like a well-oiled machine, tending to customers' needs lickety-split! Our server, Brenda, was awesome sauce! She was personable, fast, always smiling, and conversing with all her tables without jeopardizing her speedy service! She's a great asset to your team. We'd also like to give a shout-out to a server/buser whose name we failed to get, but she appeared very young with short curly hair, almost a bob. She was clearing tables so quick, she was a dynamo! Thanks for a great dinner!

It's been quite a while since I was last there, but it is still a great place for Mexican food. The server did a very good job. It was great for our group of 6 since the noise level wasn't bad.
