We booked the last tour of the day at 5pm. There were only 4 of us on the boat plus the guide. We did the whole tour in perfect German even though it wasn't his first language. The whole cruise was very rewarding. Not only did we learn the interesting facts about the place but he also entertained us with various stories and jokes related to the lake and the cave. Perfect!

It was a great place and have good 30 mins spent. The guide was explaining things however not so good for English audience. We tried but the jokes are not so funny after speaking in German and French... You can see the water filled underground lake and ride through it is a little dark.

Short 30min boat ride with a guide. There is a souvenir shop and restaurant just outside. Ample parking outside. There are music concerts organized inside the cave on select dates ( mostly twice a month ). The temperature inside is colder than outside. We went in summers and at that time it was 15 degrees.

My dear friend surprised me with a visit to this marvelous cave tour. It was a hot sunny day, after doing some activities in the mountains I was pleased with a cold temperature cave which cooled me down relaxed my mind and eyes with gorgeous colors and clear water. Started with jumping on a boat through the cave an attraction with water and stone. We sailed through the cave with a lovely tour talking about the history behind this beauty, at times my mind would wonder away back in time. Such a wonderful experience with lovely staff would definitely visit again and bring some more friends.

A beautiful underground lake. A lovely cool contrast to the heat outside. The captain of the boat provided great information. It's a 10min (if you walk fast like us) from the station and it's sign posted well They have parking, toilets and cafe on site as well as a small museum and gift shop. Only downside was that we had booked our tickets in advance on line but when we arrived, the lady at the counter had given us tickets for the next boat which was later than what we had booked. That's not very good service - especially as we had pre-booked tickets whereas other people had clearly shown up on the day for tickets. This would have caused us significant delay in getting our train back. Luckily, the captain was understanding and as he had space, he managed to let us on. All in all, it took about 45mins for the tour and a few minutes spent in the museum. The lake is beautiful and mesmerising. It's an interesting tour overall. There are moments where it would have been nice to just have a bit more silence to take in the peaceful atmosphere.

The underground lake of Saint-Léonard is an enchanting hidden gem in the Swiss Alps. With its crystal-clear turquoise waters, captivating boat ride, and knowledgeable tour guides, it's a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Beautiful lake and a nice tour. However i was surprised that the captain asked for tips at the end of the tour. Everyone was a bit confused, because we already paid for the experience. I would expect that he gets paid enough and we don't need to pay extra.

An impressive natural underground lake, well maintained and lit. Quite popular so it’s best to book time in advance. Visit is by large groups on a boat so it’s noisy and guide just won’t stop trying to make jokes and translate them in 3 languages, I could really enjoy the beauty of nature without all that.

It's okay for adults. Many things are set up unly for entertainment for example the fishes in the water or the old ships. You floating on a boat for 30min through the dark cave. No flashlights allowed. You can deink from the cave water . It tastes quite nice.

Very nice tourist spot. Affordable tickets and very informative guide speaking in three different languages which was great. Website says you must buy tickets online, but they sells tickets inside as well (probably doing check in only would speed up the process so they can take care of different tasks). Be aware that the closes parking is not free for everyone! You would need special permit to park there, even if it says only "Parking up to 3h". Multiple cars got tickets for staying here, as there is a lot of parking spaces and it's the closest one. Be aware of that to save 40CHF!

The guide provided a very clear explanation in French, German and English. This is definitely worth visiting as a tourist!

The cave is nice and interesting However if you are English speaker you will have a hard time enjoying since 80% was French and German and a very brief explanation was given in English

Beautiful lake! Cheap entry for Switzerland. After getting a ticket at the front they let you into a souvenir shop/café/exposition/waiting area which is pretty nice and you can even learn something about the cave and caves in general. Then you wait for them to call your boat number and then you can board. We had a wonderful young guide who was very funny and nice. She did the tour in French, German and English (one language followed the other in each segment), and it worked great. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Very nice thing to do. The underground lake is spectacular, the colors and acoustics are really something else. Even on the July weekend wasn't too crowded, our guide was great, speaking fluently 3 languages so that everyone could profit from what he was saying. Very good impression, definitely a thing to do when in the area.

Incredible Place, has rainbow fish aswell. The only thing, is that I expected it to be bigger, but for the not-so-high price, is definitely worth it.

expensive and underwhelming. We drove an hour from our campsite to do something a bit different. the best thing was getting out of the 37 degree heat as temp in cave was 15 degrees all year round. it's not really a tour with technical info which I was hoping for but a tour where the guide ( who was charming and funny) could only point out faces from shadows on the wall, this would be fine if given some beers and getting high on cheese fondue but it wasnt. for 35pounds it was twice what it should been but everything in switzland is expensive. there are better things to do in the area.

Very cool Experience. How often do you get to say you went on a boat tour on a lake in a cave? I especially enjoyed our tour guide he was energetic, funny, and had a great voice.

The guide was really good at keeping my anxiety of entering a confined space at check by cracking constant jokes and pairing them with fun facts. His language command is quite good. Very kind individual, if you are sensitive to cold the lake is a bit cold if you visit in the morning try to dress warm enough so you can enjoy the tour with no distractions. Do not be stupid, DON'T USE FLASH INSIDE THIS OR ANY CAVE.

Simply one of the best places you can visit in the Canton of Valais, you'll love it. And they do offer a lot of things to do, plus, the views of the Canton and Alps are just stunning.
