We had a great tour of the ship and were able to see everything, all the rooms and the technology! So much dedication and commitment from the club members, very impressive! Thank you!

We are convinced that if you are interested in icebreaker technology and want to learn a few things, it is definitely worth visiting this ship. The proximity to the city center also makes a visit to the ship well worthwhile. First a little education for the whole family and then a little shopping for the soul. Holidays should be fun and broaden your horizons a little. Here, in the combination of education and shopping, there is enough space for both. The price of the adjacent parking lot is also perfectly reasonable.

As part of the HanseSail we took a guided tour of the ship. We had a younger employee who led us and you could feel his enthusiasm and passion for this ship and the project. It was a very interesting tour with lots of technical details. We are in the ship from the very front to the very back and from the very top to the very bottom. Engine room, steering system, anchor chains, bridge, cabins, galley, mess, lifeboats, etc. All of our questions were answered. Really good. As a family, we paid just under 30 euros with 2 adults + 2 kids and spent a little over 2 hours on the ship in a small group.

Extremely interesting. The people who have made it their mission to maintain the ship are there with their hearts and souls. The tour takes you to all parts of the ship that are not normally accessible. You can almost picture the life of the crew on the icebreaker. Highly recommended!

Took the tour today and all I can say is: If you don't watch this, you're missing out! On the ship you immediately notice what volunteering is... A passion that is carried out with heart and soul. Today we had the pleasure of taking a tour of the icebreaker with Ulf and every second of about 1.5 hours was a highlight. You go first and get the guided tour, which is free. At the end you will be asked for a donation. You would be happy to give this donation for such a great tour.

“Free” tour = 10€/adult as a donation. Pretty lengthy - over 1.5 hours. Not really for small children. Volunteers are nice and friendly.

Very interesting ship on which guided tours are offered for which you pay a small donation. Unfortunately, supposedly naive children's questions were not addressed during our tour. As a result, the child's interest disappeared very quickly. Other participants with qualified questions were of greater interest to our volunteer. A pity. I hope he was just having a bad day.

Awesome experience with this tour .. it’s free and if you want you can donate 10EUR per person .. they cover complete ship in one and half hour. The Stephan Jantzen is a decommissioned icebreaker . The ship was built in 1967 as the last ship of the Nikitich class, a series of 21 units, at the Leningrad Admiral Shipyard and named after the former Warnemünde pilot commander Stephan Jantzen (1827–1913).

We found the ship by chance in the bad weather and were totally surprised. The volunteers are very enthusiastic about it. Our tour lasted two hours and our grandson was able to visit extra rooms. The employees explain everything worth knowing with a lot of heart and passion. Definitely worth recommending.

Wow!
