It is the most Important Railway Station in North Bengal. To be the Honest , it is also very very neat and clean with many advance features like - bio toilet, water vending machine , lifts etc. Also From here only you can go to the other places of North Bengal Like Darjeeling, Peeling, Gangtok and many many more. That's why it is also important for many tourists. Every train passing this station take a halt here . If you are going to North east side , then also this station is very important for you as all the north east trains passed through this station only . At one word this station is an nostalgia of Bengali people and very very important with too much features. Hats off !!!

One the biggest railway station in North Bengal. It’s very big and crowded. But comparatively clean. All necessary facilities are available, food and tea stalls are there. Restaurants are also there at the platform. But you won’t find any local delicacies to eat.

Need wheelchair facility which is not there. Escalator was not functional for the upstairs. It's tough to climb stairs if you have leg fracture or pain. Or else it's good. Food and all other facilities such as cab, Toto, cars hotels all are nearby.

Could be little better in terms of cleanliness but stillgood than Siliguri Jn. The station is well equipped and has all modern amenities that includes very decent number of escalator for passengers.

Well I would give a honest review on this railway station. This is one of the major railway station that will help you to reach the North East part of India. The railway station is huge. It will take a lot of time on reaching to the platform number 2 and 3 from the auto stand but the process is quite easy. There are ramps around which will avoid you to take Foot Over Bridge. The most important thing is you will hate here is : 1. The announcement system here is worst. You will have to stay back in the foot over bridge in order to listen the announcement made. 2. Being a major junction, the display system is quite laggy and mostly not working. Also will find a lot of vendors who will be pulling you to there tourism company and they will advertise their tourism package for Darjeeling, Gangtok, etc. Try avoiding them.

This station is playing the major role to reach the north and north east side of India.. this is the open door to reach one of the most beautiful part of India and door of the hill . Station is apparently big, lift, escalator, ac waiting room more things are available there.. this station is well connected to other parts of India.. and also you'll get car service and room service just outside of the station.. price depends upon the season and availability..

We travelled from Gangtok to NJP station. The road is good from Gangtok to NJP. Also, you can find a lot of eating options in Siliguri. The paid AC waiting room is good. Charges only 10 Rs. Per hour. Clean station. You can easily find taxis from here.

These pictures taken in 2018 while traveling to my hometown. Mostly NJP is bypassed in the train However this was one of the very few other times where board the train from NJP. Station is decently well maintained and remember the escalators were also working round the clock.

New Jalpaiguri Junction railway station (station code NJP)[4] established in 1960,[5] is an A1 category[6] broad gauge and narrow-gauge railway station under Katihar railway division of Northeast Frontier Railway zone. It is the largest as well as the busiest railway junction of Northeast India. This junction is largest among the railway stations which serves the city of Siliguri, the largest metropolis of the North Bengal. The other stations are- Siliguri Junction, Gulma, Bagdogra, Matigara, Rangapani and Siliguri Town. New Jalpaiguri junction ranked 10th cleanest railway station in India in 2016 survey[7] and came among the top 100 booking stations of Indian railway.[8] New Jalpaiguri, as a railway station serves as the entry point to North Bengal, Sikkim, other countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and the seven northeastern states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya). New Jalpaiguri Junction acts as a connecting base for the Northeastern states to the Indian mainland.

It is one of the most important station of North Bengal But I think govt should provide local trains for this place and around this if they do this the horrible crowd in the general coaches in kanchanjangha and other trains will be reduced And travelers will get a better experience in train journeys ..

As I am returning from Sikkim, i feel People are less friendly and helpful. My train got late by 5hours and I had to sit outside on the platform. Every time I went to check on any of the waiting rooms at platform 1, they told me that there was no space left. Also there was only 1 charging slot available out on the platform, and every other person was waiting to charge their phone.

Retiring rooms are under maintained. New Jalpaiguri to Alipurduar Jn. Tourist train is a small train, containing 5 coaches. It is difficult to identify the train in the platform. It departs from the front side of platform towards New Alipurduar at 7.20 am.

One of the busiest stations in west Bengal. Anybody visiting Darjeeling, West Bengal has to go through this station. Few lakhs of people thoroughfare every day. The age old station is spick and span. There are so many business activities are going on surrounding this station.

New Jalpauguri Junction aka NJP is the only train station connecting North East to rest of the India. Over a period of time lots of changes and renovation work done here. And the station will look beautiful once completed. Few difficulties for the people with wheelchair and physically challanged people to reach platforms. There are two service lifts available only at platform number 1 and 1A, 2 and 3

The first class waiting room is chargeable but after paying the charges we had to pay separately for the washroom inside the waiting room. This not at all the rule of the Indian railway. All the platforms have not the options of ramp, escalator or elevator. The only remaining option is the staircase which is at all a good option for the passengers.
