We recently stayed at Inchcape for 6 nights total. The property is stunning and was ideally situated for us - far enough out of town to feel private though close enough to beaches and activities with a lovely walk around the coast to get there. We had an incredibly spacious room, with a very comfortable bed and lovely balcony overlooking kite-surfers; we cannot fault the accomodation though given the luxury price point this also met our expectations. Unfortunately this businesses downfall is aspects of service. My partner and I are Kiwis who work in the superyacht industry therefore we truly know what good hospitality feels like. Sharice was our main contact and upon arrival we found little warmth in her demeanour. We had a couple of issues with ammenities - a curtain rail falling down, a TV needing replacement and a pipe leaking in the kitchen. She responded promptly and came to assist however she made it obvious that it was an inconvenience to her and complained about other events happening on the grounds, showing little consideration for how her attitude would impact a guests experience. We are fairly easy-going and decided not to say anything, however on our last day we needed to have some washing done (there are no washers or dryers in apartments) at which point we were told the cost was $20 USD per load. We traveled light after finishing work in Grenada with only a small backpack of clothing per person. The cost for us was $40 USD ($80NZD) for one small load of colours and another of whites - extortionate given the inability to do our own. When we went to Sharice to share our shock we were met with a hostile response. I ended up telling her that her attitude was appalling - in response she could not understand what I was meaning given she had only been timely with her responses. A genuine misalignment of what good service entails. It's worth noting that Ginger our housekeeper was absolutely lovely and represented the opposite values of Sharice, communicating to us with care and positive humour. Also when I requested speaking to the owner of the property, she met me, understood our frustrations, and was equally gracious. *Editing after owner/managers response: Hello reader, truly hope this finds you well. Our intentions with this review have been simply to highlight how someone’s hospitable attitude & warmth could be improved to ensure everyone has an incredible stay at Inchcape. Two short notes - the TV we had initially wasn’t working, and we did pay $20 USD for our washing. These points however are a distraction from the main reason we wrote this. Have you noticed when you review other venues, the owners/managers response online is usually concise and understanding? Even if they do not agree, there is an acceptance of a guests experience being true to them. They often then add an apology, and ask how they may be able to adjust things in future to ensure a better stay. We practice such hospitality on superyachts. Inchcape’s response says everything you need to know. We are two young people in our late 20’s - we travel often, have met the loveliest of people, and put our all into being kind and polite. This is the first time we have felt the need to write a review of this nature. Many thanks for your viewing and good luck in finding your ideal stay.

A lovely Villa that is in essence a renovated colonial house, and the location is near picture perfect; a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean with a beach right nearby. Of course nothing is perfect in a matter of speaking, the drawback of this villa is that they have no air conditioning (but of course in all fairness none is mentioned in the description), that you need to close the windows to prevent rain during rainstorms from coming in and making the entirety of the interior wet and you need to do so using those pins you see and you need to shove them inside the holes of the windows. Either way, expect to be bothered by mosquitoes at night due to the placement. Oh, and also reception regarding cell phone communication might be difficult since it seems that the signals are blocked when you're in a villa; I had to go outside several times in order to be able to call someone effectively. For the rest, all the amenities are good; internet, electricity, running water - it's all good & up to standard.

Inchcape Seaside villas - THE place to stay ! My decision to choose the Inchcape Seaside villas for my stay in Barbados turned out to have been the best decision I could have possibly made. Communication for the booking was speedy and precise. Everything was perfectly organized-airport pick up, delivery of my rental car to the property shortly after my arrival and the transport back to the airport for my departure. I love Inchcape’s location. It truly has the best climate Barbados has to offer and I have to agree with their advertising that A/C is normally not needed (but there are fans just in case). The apartments are lovely and unique. Inchcape is close to all the action, supermarkets, restaurants and last, but not least, you are on a wonderful and uncrowded white sand beach! To summarize: Paradise Found !!!!

It is a hidden gem. What a magical place. Prime location close to everything but secluded enough to feel the private and exclusive vibe in the island. The best host ever, Wolfgang and Rossi are the most knowledgeable people to ask for recommendations while we stayed with them. Thank you and we will be back to you guys. What an unforgettable experience.

Simply superb ! When the airport pick up driver has dropped you at the Inchcape Seaside Villas you have arrived in paradise ☀️I honestly have never had such an attentive approach before my arrival and during my stay until I departed. The communication with the manager Sharice while preparing for my trip was excellent. Everything during my stay lived up to highest expectations. Congratulations to management and team for doing such an excellent job

Fantastic Holiday at Inchcape in Barbados This beautiful apartment complex on Silver Sands Beach came highly recommended and lived up in full to all expectations. The apartments are tastefully decorated, everything is in perfect shape, clean, spotless, and equipped with all modern amenities from tv to very fast Internet, fully equipped kitchen and more. The location right on the beach, with a beach bar restaurant near by and just a few minutes drive from the cute fishing village of Oistins couldn’t be any better. The organization was top, the manager Sharice not only organized a very personalized airport pick up and drop at no higher price than a taxi ride would have cost. She also had our rental car delivered to the property short after our arrival, was helpful with restaurant reservations and many hints on what to see and where to go. We researched carefully before deciding for this rental property and can only confirm that the Inchcape Seaside Villas was the best decision we could have possibly made! Thanks to management and staff for making our vacation so special!

We just had a horrible stay in this place and destroyed honeymoon vacation in this hotel((. We as a very well travelled kitesurfing couple (50+ countries) have booked this hotel (basically a house) close to kitesurfing beach, which is in Silver Sands. Main purpose of the trip was kitesurfing. All started with that we were not allow to keep kitesurfing equipment inside of the house (luggage bag, kites, pump, surfboard and harness - the worth of equipment was around 6000 USD). Hotel management doesn't allow you to keep your kitesurfing staff inside - it must be stored in an opened public place in the garden - in a DARK OPEN SPACE WITHOUT ANY VIDEO CAMERAS, NO SECURITY. We asked if management will take responsibility for our equipment if it will be kept outside and the we got the answer - NO. About the property in general: What we dont like: - This hotel price is higher average then other the same hotels in the island. You DONT GET cleaning everyday, you dont even get soap and so on! U need to buy everything - shampoo, soap etc. - There are NO blackout curtains in the sleeping room - so you get all the light into your face from 5.a.m, so you cant sleep more. - they dont remove garbage, after some days it smells horrible (+29 C) - Place is very remote, no cafes, restaurants around - you need to take bus number 11 (30min+) or you need to have a car. Taxi is very expensive and not everyone will come (because its a remote area). The price for taxi is around 15 USD each way. - there were lizards in the room, we saw twice frogs in the bathroom, no mosquito nets on windows as well. - There are no beach at hotel. There are sea with sharp rocks and strong current, so you cant swim there. - There are a lot of seaweed around. What was good: - Rooms were light - Beautiful garden - You can cook in kitchen I hope this review enlighten the people who will make a reservation in the future and my intention is not to bring any harm and bad reputation to any business. This review 100% reflects our personal experience of the stay for the past 9 days. And we also would like the hotel management to accept the responsibility for making our stay very difficult, in many ways customers can be right or wrong in their own way, but it would be nice to have a hotel management, who says "customer first" and try to do everything to comfort the customer, and in fact whats happened - we were tried to comfort the management. We were very happy to leave the place! Elena& Guray

Great vacation Thanks to everybody at Inchcape for having made our stay such a wonderful experience. We loved chatting with Barton, the gardener, we loved Ginger our housekeeper and her always smiling face, the manager Sharice was there when we had a question. Hope to be back soon.
