Run, don’t walk.. to another gym! I have been coming to the gym for about six months, and it’s been six months too long. Here are my key takeaways: 1.) The equipment is 10,000 years old. Not only is the interior outdated, but the machines lack any type of maintenance. The bars no longer have grip, the mats are dirty and torn, and the cables machines are rusted and hard to adjust. 2.) Cleanliness. I’m not sure when the last time any of the cardio equipment was cleaned, but as you can see in the photos the buildup of dirt and grime is absurd. There is always trash being left behind, and very few sanitizing stations throughout the facility (not that people use the ones that are available anyway) 3.) Overcrowded at all times of the day. I have tried going from 5 AM to 10 PM and always have issues with the amount of people. The last few times I’ve gone in, I’ve asked for a towel and have been told that they’re out of towels, even though I’m paying an extra 12$ a month solely for that reason. 4.) You’ll be hard pressed to get a smile from anyway at the front desk. I’m sorry that you hate your job, but I pay to use this facility. Don’t treat your customers like an inconvenience. 5.) Temperature. Vegas is 110 degrees daily over the summer, and there’s no air circulation in this entire facility. It’s musty, smells like chlorine, and somehow manages to reach 80% humidity, even being in the desert. Some fans or something is absolutely necessary, unless you like starting off your workout already sweating. 6.) There is no gym etiquette at this facility. People don’t re-rack their weights, they’ll legitimately come up to you on the stair master and say ‘ how many sets you got left’. So unless you’re okay fighting people off for equipment and consistently making up for other peoples laziness, I’d stay far away. Find a different gym!!

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with club manager Anthony Reyes. He was unpleasant and rude. He just wanted to sell us a membership and not listen to our needs or why we wanted to come to the gym that day-to attend one of the dance classes they offer. We entered with a club vip pass with intentions to sign up for a membership after trying it out for a day. He rambled and made us late to the class, held onto our IDs without asking for our consent to do so. When questioned later why he did that, he told us that it was company policy. Fair. But they way he answered it was short and kinda fumbling over the reason why it was policy. When I told him that we would have appreciated if beforehand, he would have asked for permission to hold onto our IDs until we left. He blamed us for giving it to him and if we didn't want to do it we could have said something or left. I told him that in the doctor's office that I worked at, we would always ask for permission to get someones ID and then we would scan it and give it right back.He then said that I was attacking him and making it personal. I tried to tell him that understand the policy, I just wanted to know what he was doing with my ID and it would have been nice to be asked to keep it for the hour. He proceeded to be so rude & condescending to us and our mother. The other ladies we spoke to after were very understanding and apologetic. We are thankful for those girls, not sure their names but they were kind. I understand that working in customer service/sales is difficult but as manager I would expect more professionalism and patience with clients who have questions.

Do NOT GO THIS GYM ❗️ Don't believe anything they say to you. When you want to join, everything looks very simple and tells you that if you are going to move, they will cancel the membership for you. However, when you tell them they need to cancel their membership, everything is the beginning of a nightmare. They refuse the formalities that can effectively prove the moving, and will constantly find various excuses, the most common sentence is: "There is nothing I can do". It's not that there is nothing to do, but they don't want to do anything. What's more disgusting is that you have to be very careful that they may affect your creditworthiness in the bank, even if it is because of their poor service. A terrible gym where hunger is money. If you are not a local resident or crazy fitness enthusiast, don't give them your information. Because they will use your information to eat your money.

Very well lit place at night. The men’s locker room is clean. I’m a competition swimmer. I swim at LVAC.

This gym is very well appointed with workout equipment in the weights area. Many different machines, multiple resistance types, and a good selection of free weights. They're also is a good lap pool along with some dry and wet saunas and a very large jacuzzi all in common areas. Very good value for the money and you can visit all locations with a single membership. They can improve in cleanliness in many of the common areas and some better maintenance of the machines. Overall, by far a decent gym.

My favorite gym to go to, the only reason for a less star is because shower areas are not the cleanest. I love their classes and women area. We also love that we can drop off our kids to the play area while working out. Staff are nice.

I’ve been coming to this gym for about 8 years now, I’ve always enjoyed this gym until now. Employees here are horrible now… They walk around constantly harassing you, and if they don’t like you they write notes about you on your account when you scan in… Very immature Also, if you’re new to working out I’d definitely watch some YouTube videos and learn what’s good for YOU! Don’t waste your time and money with the blue shirt trainers here.. They’ll charge you crazy prices just to put you on machines the whole time..

This is not a serious gym. The demographics are closely similar to that of a community center and not a gym. The weight room is spread out which makes it difficult to superset exercises. After 2 years of going to this gym, I've never seen the weights organized or put away. I frequently spend my workouts clearing the weights from the previous lifter. My recommendation for the manager would be to have staff organize and put weights away regularly, enforce basic gym etiquette, and market to a more experienced demographic. Honestly, I'd pick the competitor up the street over this gym for experienced lifters looking to train for a specific goal. If your team can at least put the weights/plates away routinely and remind patrons to do the same then I'd be happy to change my rating.

The gym itself is nice, but be careful with the contracts you sign at this location. I was told I was getting a month to month gym subscription and when we tried to cancel the membership because we were no longer going they said we had signed a 26 month contract and could not cancel. They lie to you and get you to sign contract when you request month to month behind your back, and when you call billing they don’t care and say that you have to go by what’s on the contract and they do not own up to their employees lies and mistakes. This place is cunning and they don’t care about your business they only care about your money, be very careful read your contract carefully, don’t make the same mistake I did.

The gym is great, nothing wrong with it, a great value for the price. But when I signed up with them being from out of town and knowing I might need to suspend my contract early, I was cautious to sign a contract. 9 months back and today I reached out to request a cancellation for my membership only to be told I would need to provide multiple forms of documentation supporting a move. I did not move, my address on file is out of town, it was explained to me that I would just need to inform them of needing to cancel and pay 2 month of membership to suspend the contract. But when it came to needing that, they now want documentation, just more of a hassle than it should be and not how it was explained to me.

I'm a long time member and generally enjoy the gym . But I have an issue that I haven't been able to get resolved. A few months ago they cranked up the music so loud it's obtrusive. I have to blast my own headphones to even hear a podcast. I measured it and it's frequently over 80 decibels which is supposed to be unhealthy . I've tried speaking to team members who couldn't help, to managers who said they had no ability to help , I have tried to contact in corporate and I have tried reaching out several times on social media. This is ruining my experience and my ability to concentrate on my workout . Plus I worry that it's an unhealthy level of volume . I am frustrated with such a simple matter is so difficult to even find someone who I can address this to.

So I forgot my gym card and had a picture of it on my wallet.. I pulled the picture of my gym card on my phone, handed it to clerk and it scanned. She then proceeded to say “you have to bring you card to scan” I’m like why? If it worked perfectly. You have a picture of my ugly face in your computer you can tell it’s me.. they just wanting me to spend $12 for another card. EOS and 24 hour fitness have QR codes on their app that you scan you don’t have to worry about brining a physical card.. talk about not keeping up with technology..

A large gym with a lot of equipment. I do wish that they took the time to try out machines to ensure they are functioning correctly on a revolving basis. Many of the cardio machines have issues, I've mentioned it, they were supposed to be fixed, and not so much. Management should also crack down on the rules of what is and is not allowed, sandals/open toed shoes, large bags, people setting up tripods to video themselves. Not only are these things a danger to the club, but to other members. Confrontation is easily had when someone is waiting on a machine that another is barely using and would rather take a video of "how good they do or don't look." On a better note, it's typically pretty clean, the playroom hours are good and typically can be scheduled easily, a womens gym, and there's a lot of equipment. I've been coming here for years, and for the price it's probably one of the most affordable out there. Plus, there are multiple locations around the Valley.

Be aware! when you go to join the club they are so sweet and friendly but if you think to cancel you membership you will deal with the worst customer support you will ever see, they will try to hang up on you and give you hard time just because you doing your right of canceling. plus the gym have to much member volume you will never enjoy being there at anytime so please save you money and go somewhere else .

Odds on it being fixed by Christmas or NYE? 0️⃣ Original Review 10/11/23 Been coming here for years. Machine 57 incline bench press seat has been stuck for over a month. I’ve mentioned it once a week, 4 times total now.

I joined in 2020 and it's by far the best value for a gym I have ever seen. Best decision ever. All of the classes are free and all of the ones I have tried are AMAZING....They also bring in a lot of community camaraderie and support local businesses. My daughter recently signed up for the playroom program so we upgraded the membership. It's worth it and she loves it. The only suggestion I have is please keep the playroom hours the same and do not cut them down during holiday time. :) This gym is A1 ! Welcome to the best gym family !

I have been going to this location for years and alot seem to have change and have gotten worse. The customers at this location are so rude and entiled where they feel they can speak to the young workers who are behind the front desk any type of way. Customers are not always right and furthermore why does Management tolerate that for their employees? I see why they have a high turnover. Always someone new working. I saw a lady scream at young girl behind the counter about her card. I don't get it. You were irresponsible and lost your card, yet it's the young ladies fault it isn't found? And the manager "Kay" just stood there letting that poor girl get disrespected. I was disgusted. "Kay" needs to be fired or relocated. The many times I've been in, she seems like a bully on a power trip. I grew up in this city and it's sad that people move here with their distasteful behaviors. This city was never filled with this much rudeness. If Management are saying it's okay for workers to be treated nasty by customers, then they need better management. It's gross coming from the older generation to think that is appropriate behavior. Grow up!

How is it that with six employees standing around sharing stories I still have to stand there an actual ASK who is going to check me in? This happens more often than you would think! Most don’t even greet people at even say “hello” or anything, they extend their hand for the card, scan it, hand it back and before you take it from them they are already turned to talk to their “colleagues” without a word. Do they feel I’m interrupting their life? What happened to basic business etiquette???

Really based off the environment and overall customer service. The front desk is very bland and very often has a no welcome attitude. The juice bar people are great ! And a few of the floor team are welcoming. The gym is kind of bland & people can be very stand offish. But solid to get a great workout in. In terms of equipment, it’s all kind of old. I’ve been coming here well over 1 year & a half now.

I have also experienced an unpleasant experience from Anthony Reyes. His actions are there to be described as hostile, to my face, and he also brought race into the picture, qualifying each to be an anti-social behavior. These are not values or behaviors that LVAC advertises themselves as such as awareness and empathy. I have also heard several of the contracted trainers that work here, along with other LVAC trainers, resort to aggressive and misogynistic language. The older gentlemen with bifocals, wears a gold chain, who is an LVAC Manager, does not see this as a problem. He believes people use this language all the time. I was not allowed to talk to people by him. The membership I was paying for was then revoked out of thin air without giving me any inclination as to why. LVAC is a toxic brand and staying away from these predatory behaviors has been the best choice I could make for myself. These behaviors examined by myself do not work out in the long-term for businesses like this one. Eventually, negative health accruals overtake one's sense of self by consequence being in the cellular environment that we are in, and ultimately the microorganism expresses itself through guilt and shame, portraying themselves through shattered self-esteem due to their own fragile ego and frigid nature. Apologetic attitudes aren't great because they don't take accountability or responsibility for their actions or behaviors. They don't think things through. Eat your greens!

The only thing that could make coming in and being greeted by Steven any better is knowing there is a heavy bag I could use. SERIOUSLY PLEASE GET AT LEAST ONE HEAVY BAG FOR MEMBERS TO USE. Also Steven is the best, every time we come in and we see him at the front desk we know we will get a warm genuine welcome, he is a pleasure and sets our workout off on a good foot. DONT lose him.

Let's talk about the zumba instructor Carrisa. She is absolutely arrogant, aggressive, rude, and belittling to others. I was mortified for the person she was yelling at. She stopped her music to yell at a poor girl for having her phone out. The girl stated that she was sorry and she didn't know and quickly put her phone away. Carrisa continued to belittle her and embarras her, telling her, she should have came to class on time to hear the rules. (my thought was okay, she said sorry and put her phone away, why continue to belittle her?) Carrisa then threatened that if it happens again, she will not continue the class. I was beyond embarrassed for the girl being spoken to like a child, omgsh. When someone in the back nicely said calm down carrisa and breathe, probably in attempt to calm the situation, Carrisa yelled "NO". This is beyond unprofessional of the instructor and this is not the first time. People let it slide, why because she's a instructor? No this is uncalled for. If I were that girl being talked that way I would be offended and pissed. Disgusting behavior of carrisa and how long will her behavior be tolerated? How long will her employer think it is okay to speak to people who pay to come there? She is a bully and did I mention arrogant? I will not be returning to her zumba class. Gym time is a time for me to prepare myself for the week or for the next day. If I were that lady, I probably would be wanting to go take boxing classes after. Carrisa needs to find another profession that does not include people because she clearly has zero people skills.

if you walked in here blindfolded you'd probably guess that you were at a 7 year old girls birthday party. very bizarre music choice for a gym, and it's so obnoxiously loud. pretty decent gym otherwise, but having to bring and use noise cancelling headphones for my entire workout sucks.

They are constantly cleaning here. It’s a big gym, with an area for women only. It’s ALWAYS busy when I go, which makes sense because it’s a nice gym. I rarely see issues with the equipment not in working order, they have bottle filling stations, and a little cafe inside as well. The group fitness classes are free, and no sign up required in most cases. They also offer childcare for an additional expense. There’s a sauna and steam room included in the membership fees as well. I only wish there was one closer to me, was less busy, and that it also included tanning.

It’s a good gym with everything you need and some stuff you don’t. They’re trying to keep the place up. I mean when you got hundreds of randos beating on your equipment day in and day out I understand it’s gonna be hectic in there. Trying to keep everything perfect not gonna happen so I cut them some slack. Overall I love the juice/food bar,locker’s,showers,steam/sauna rooms, pool jacuzzi all for the low every month plus a towel can’t beat it. Staff is cool they leave me alone let me do my thing. Avoid this place 5-8pm it turns into a circus act lol. Other than that enjoy get a good pump ! They have everything

Hello! Local Guide Here! I’ve been a member of LVAC and have attended all clubs. This club is missing amenities and is not missing stars because of it. They are remodeling so the amenities will return even better! The layout is nice and like any business at peak hours does see a crowd. But there are tons of machines that you could substitute for the same target area so STOP COMPLAINING! I do have two children as well and this where the stars go missing. There are some childcare workers that are not as inviting and welcoming as other locations. So I do recommend the Flamingo or the Rainbow Location if you have children. Especially if you have 10 minutes to spare for the drive.

Very well equipped, The showers are a bit older and have that Musky smell. Hot tub is Huge . The staff was very pleasant and kept the place clean. I love their track, it surrounds the outside of the 2nd floor. There is plenty of parking and food nearby. This is a much older club then the one we have been attending. I still think this small 7 gym chain is the best one in Las Vegas.

Do not apply for a job here at Las Vegas Athlete Club Silverado Ranch location. They will termination their employees on their second day of employment. They will terminate their employees when they arrive to work early. I am not joking. I am serious. I give one star because maybe is better to be a member than an employee!

I spent two weeks searching for a gym. I came from CrossFit which I did for 2 years in Florida and Texas, so I needed a gym that I could still get a good workout from, without floor shaking house music and people shouting at me. I tried EOS, Planet Fitness, and LA Fitness (in Texas on a trip), and concluded that LVAC was by far the best option. Even with just the basic plan, I still get access to classes, and the full range of equipment & facilities on site. Not to mention access to all of their locations in the city. The staff are always friendly which is nice, I never feel pressured or out of place here, and I haven't had to wait to use equipment or had any negative experiences. Everything appears clean and well maintained and it's right down the street from where I live. Overall an excellent experience and I'm happy to have signed up with this gym!

I love how clean and efficient this facility is. I like the child care they provide, most of the care givers are nice to the kids. My son loves this place as well, it is like indoor playground for him. It allows me to do my work ou without worries when he is whit me. I love the sauna. Sometimes you have to wait for machines to be available but there's plenty of them for one to have a nice workout. They also have a nice jogging/walking track. Nice parking area, close to the freeway and everything. One of my favorite gyms.

Meh, been coming here almost 3 years now. Stellar playroom, which is the main attraction of this gym. Equipment is decent and normally well upkept, have not seem any equipment upgrades since I started going. I'm a mid-morning gym goer, so place is decently busy such that you need to have a flexible routine since most machines are singles with a few duplicates, like leg extensions or cable machines. Juice bar is hit or miss, sometime it's almost custard and others it's watery. Sometimes they call your order by name, others by what you ordered. It's a standard gym on the pricier side.

  • 1/5 Jon D. 2 years ago on Google
Filthy, at best. I'm a regular at the LVAC in Henderson, by the Henderson Hospital, but recently moved to this area so this GV/Eastern location is closer now. The contrast between that one and this one is night and day, with folks constantly keeping up with the cleaning of the place, vs. here at the GV/Eastern location, where I haven't seen a single cleaning person, the toilets are all backed up, the equipment is nasty with people leaving puddles of sweat. Now looking at other options. 9/13 Update: First time I decide to use the pool and sauna, guess what happens? An older man sits in the sauna and urinates in his pants, leaking all over the floor. He just continues to sit there in the sauna like nothing happened. There were two more people in the sauna who observed this. It's sad to see, but demonstrates my point about this gym being absolutely filthy.
