Has to be the emergency with the least urgency. Brought my son in with head trauma, he had hit his head at the corner of my coffee table. It had split open and he was bleeding. We applied pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding so by the time we got to NUH Children's Emergency his bleeding had stopped and the wound compressed. But we can clearly see the gash. The child was in trauma and they should have quickly sewn him up. Waited more than 2 hours. They had a total of 5 sets of patients with us. Nobody moved, it was like we were playing a game of statues. First world country with 3rd world healthcare, well done Singapore! Please never come here.

People, if your children have emergency, try to send to KK Hospital first, they have the best child and woman care equipment even the private hospital pale by comparison. NUH A&E for children and adult are shared location, so when I went in, it was super crowded, the wait just for the nurse to check your blood pressure is 45 min, as indicated by the entrance nurse. The wait for doctor to consult takes a few hours, so you must be ready to bear with the pain, if you are in severe pain, they will prioritize you maybe, but other wise, go to a private hospital for faster assistance. The charges as of today was S$ 128 per case. I was attended to efficiently and staff inside are not as many as Tan Tock Seng, still, most cases are resolved by 4am. I checked in at 10pm.

2 weeks ago went to NUH A&E department, and before that we called their hotline and was told waiting time 2-3hrs, but when we went there and put to the isolation to wait for the doctor, and after 1hr 45 mins, I went to check out when will be our turn, the male nurse told us, there will be 3 patients before us, then we waited another 40 mins, and began to ask again, and we were told our turn will be next, yet for the next 30mins there is no doctor attending to our kid, I began to ask again why we waited another 30mins for our turn, the male nurse told us that it is normal to wait up to 5-6hrs to see the doctor. We decided to leave as there is no credibility to managing patient consultation and therefore we had no choice but to leave. This is a very disgusting way to manage patient care.

Waiting time is too long, not ideal for children. MOH should look into staffing the facility better. Had 40 children in queue with estimated wait time of 9 hours to see the doctor. No beds available for admission Cc: MOH

First time came here with my 6 months old because he had a high fever and lethargic. Dr said nothing was wrong, took him for second opinion elsewhere and confirmed it was Hfmd. Second time here, son hit his nose, possibly fractured, was bleeding, estimated waiting time 4hrs to see Dr. It's been 5hrs and still haven't seen Dr even though my son is screaming in the waiting room. To make matters worse we were told we were nest in line about an hour ago, multiple people have been in and left including two parents who got their children pushed to the front by constantly asking the person at the desk. Seems like you can't get treatment unless you rich enough to afford pvt.

Sent my 2mo LO to NUH children emergency due to high fever. It took us one hour just to wait for a doctor to check my LO. Overall experience is long waiting time. Honestly if my LO is not below 3 months old I would rather send him to Pte PD clinic but I got no choice cos clinic referred me to NUH as they claimed that only hospital got the equipment for blood test urine tests etc. When the doctor took the blood and urine sample from the baby they asked us to wait outside of the room, claimed is hygiene purposes. To me, it is very strange. Later then when my mother asked about what is happening the staff nurse named Lee Min Hui was so rude when talking to my mother. I have to emphasis this children’s emergency not emergency at all. Staff they just take their sweet time very slow mo I don't see they treat patients immediately.

Very long waiting time. At least 3 hours! Doctors were very slow! Not on the “emergency”’mode! Very inexperience too.

Super lousy registration. First time here with 3day baby. No one in the Q, registration staff is free but keep me stay for 20 min to wait. During registration, keep asking irrelavant questions but cannot tell what the information for. And I tried so hard to provide information, after all he saif no need… A registration can take more than 40min in an emergency with 0 patient in front of me, I was super shocked by their fantastic work and staff training. After that, when we were transferred to specilists, follow up registration always have problem, system cannot find baby’s information, they need half an hour to make it. The 2nd follow-up, appointment was missing. Another half an hour for registration and cannot get through. NUH, you can never registrate in a patient properly, why not put up a closed board at the beginning!!!!
