[The hotel eventually came back and apologised. They offered to book breakfast for 2 of us to come back on any date] Hi Goodwood Park hotel, I got a one night stay incl. breakfast. When I checked in, there was no information/confirmation provided regarding my breakfast, besides there is no information about whereabouts of all the amenities. The staff only told me about wifi and that’s about it. The next morning I went to the breakfast place to check, the staff informed me it’s 25 dollar per person so I went out to buy breakfast instead. When I checked out, I asked the staff whether the hotel stay includes breakfast and he replied it does. The breakfast ended way earlier at that time. I am quite disappointed about how the hotel check-in process did not get the guest informed of everything they need to know. I called in and the hotel manager called back saying that they can’t do anything about it. I asked for a breakfast voucher which I can come back for, which I believe it’s a reasonable ask. They refused and insisted that the staff have briefed me everything and implied that it’s my fault to not know. Not a pleasant experience. I left a tip for the room cleaning services but felt extremely saddened that the hotel treated us back so like this.

The hotel is located right beside Far East Plaza. Room is big and spacious with balcony. It's clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly, attentive and polite. During the check in, the front desk officer explain to me in Malay which I am very comfortable with and appreciate her extra mile service. Overall it's an excellent place for staycation. Love this place... Highly recommended!

Stayed here for a night, to celebrate my anniversary. The hotel had a great ambiance from the outside and even when you are inside. It had a great scent as well as a luxurious feel throughout the hotel. The restaurants were almost packed, on weekend nights usually so make sure to have a reservation here in advance. The swimming pool I must say seems to be a bit dated, with little to no design nor amenities. However they had 2 pools, another one tucked behind a block, which almost seemed to be ignored, with little to no movements nor interactions, kinda got eerie towards the evening. The staff throughout the hotel kept up a great smile every time you walked past them. The desk staff was very warming and welcoming as they swiftly handled the check-in. I was also greeted to a complimentary room upgrade as well as a beautiful slice of cake, as i have mentioned i would be celebrating my anniversary here. The room was excellent, the bed was soft and big, the air con worked like a charm and the tv was easy to connect to with our phones as we sat and watched our show. The toilet was rather small with the bathtub actually having a few stains and cracks, not too sure why it felt a bit dated here. Regardless the view from the room overlooking the pool which was nice. Definitely had an excellent stay, would recommend everyone to have their stay here as well.

Visited the hotel for an event. The hotel is not directly accessible from the Orchard MRT station, so there is some walking required. There is no shelter too, so do bring an umbrella if skies are grey. The hotel has a very nice ambience and there are many food options of available. At the event ballroom, the ballroom is well decorated and spacious. The food served is also nice too.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Good Wood Park Hotel on Scotts Road during my visit to Singapore, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The room itself was a haven of comfort and luxury. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities was truly impressive. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. I'm already looking forward to my next stay at this wonderful establishment!

It is a very old hotel, not so comfortable even though the room suite is quite big. Service is not accurate. We had a deal for a large suite and got a small one, we understood it just after a few days, then they fixed the problem without compensation. I think that there are other and more comfortable hotels for this price. Also the breakfast was poor.

Mostly the stay was decent. Just a caution for future guests - room service menu extremely limited. Sound proofing of ceiling was so bad. Everytime the guest above walked, the footsteps were resounding throughout and woke us up from our sleep in the morning at 6am. Would suggest the hotel to carpet the wood floors for more comfort. Or if you're a guest, make sure to ask for the top floor! What would have been a 5 star stay ended up in quite a bit of frustrations.

Beautiful hotel with a long heritage history behind it. Wonderful architecture, nice and friendly customer service with many off its staff having worked at the hotel for decades! Rarely get to see that in many establishments nowadays. The rooms have been nicely kept up to date and the pools are small and cozy. Definitely worth the stay and worth returning back to.

After a rocky start of the room the was payed for and booked 3 months ago for 6 nights was double booked which caused stress, and had to move after first night therefore we were given an upgrade, the duty managers and director of rooms went out of there way to help us, apperently they have a new system which doesn't sound as if working properly . The service and food selection at this hotel is fabulous also the location is spot on for shopping, dinning etc. A wonderful heritage hotel with so much history of which is why I chose it out of all the hotels in Singapore a dream experience for me.

Location is good but there are better hotels around for the same price. Their service was lacking and it did not feel like a 5star ! Drawback : They do not do turndown service . When highlighted to front desk duty manager at night, he didn't show interest or care , and said we do not do it . He was not even interested in listening to my request. Very disappointing. Most appalling was the gesture where they put a cake slice in a takeaway box in our fridge and disposable cutlery on the room table , without any notification, for our anniversary. I saw the cake the next morning as I reached in to get cold water from the fridge. Asset : Thomas at concierge desk is a very kind and friendly person. He knows singapore well and also gave very good suggestions as per my requirements. Special mention for Ms Sha at front desk, she was also very friendly.

The hotel was fully booked so I was staying in the suite outside of the hotel. The suite was very big with a kitchen and washing machine. It was quite noisy and I didn't had warm water. The breakfast is less than the standard from the other hotels in that level in Singapore. The location is good. I also used the sport center that was very good.

We were here for their Mega Brunch and it was incredible! Beautiful, kid friendly spread with the cutest donut wall. My toddler loved every minute of it. The air-conditioned play area bouncy castle was an excellent touch for parents with wriggly children. Am glad to see they're doing the Mega Buffet again for Mother's Day.

Wonderful experience in one of Singapore oldest hotel. Rich heritage and at convenient location. Room is big, clean and newly renovated. The dinner at the restaurant is fantastic. Really good food. Breakfast buffet is OK. Maybe lack of staff after the pandemic, service a bit slow. Overall, would come back again

We booked one night stay at pool side room to celebrate my kid's birthday. Received an email telling me check in time starts at 1:30PM and we reached around 2 but ran into a big crowd, as the hotel is open to team crew from different countries for 2020 Suzuki cup. No idea if this matters but we didn't get a room till 3:55PM and still they told us the pool side room was not ready. Read some reviews on Google and found this is not the first time they do this to customers. For late check-in customers hotel seems gave late checkout as compensation but then the next day customers like us ran into repeated late check-in situation again. Don't even mention my wife's 8-month pregnant and we got another 6yo kid getting super frustrated, due to not being able to go into hotek room on her birthday. Talked to staff 3x times and finally they gave us a smaller room on level 3 at end of the building, and the lift access was not usable at the moment. So we need to walk super far each time to have afternoon tea or breakfast. Then inside room the hot water sometimes get unbearably hot as many mentioned online. Seems level one got lesser such situation. Room is spacious and clean afterall. The next-day breakfast buffet and general staff attendance was quite okay so it made me change my mind from rating our stay experience from 1-star to 3-star. However this kind of experience didn't make me feel like coming back again, especially for paying 300+ dollars we only got a smaller room and stayed less than 20 hours in total.

We picked the Parklane Split Level Suite at Goodwood Park Hotel for a five day visit to Singapore in part because of the wooden floors. My wife has an allergy to dust and so rooms without carpets are usually much better for her. What we didn't know from the Agoda web site is that these apartments are in a separate building to the main part of the hotel, and are usually for long-stay visitors. This turned out to be important because they haven't been renovated for a long time and the room we were given hadn't been properly dusted. After just one night, we both had asthma and discovered that the air conditioner filter hadn't been cleaned for years, rather than every month, as expected. Every hidden surface was similarly dusty. I shared our discovery with the hotel staff and they responded immediately and were really helpful. A new hotel manager, Jimmy, immediately visited our room and documented its state. He explained that a refresh to the long-stay rooms in the annex was planned. We were offered a room in the main building and then, before we moved over, it was upgraded to a suite. This was large and in perfect condition, which made the rest of our stay a delight. All the staff were kind and helpful and Jimmy, in particular, made sure that we felt well cared for. So after a dusty start, it was a wonderful stay.

was here for high-tea. This place offers a lot of different types of food, from chinese to western. With 2 hours of buffet you can surely eat to your heart content. There is also a free-flow ice tea, however the other drinks (coffee, lattes etc) can only be ordered once. for adults would be $65ish kids would be $40ish

The facade of the hotel is beautiful and iconic capturing the colonial vibes. However the interior feels dated and could do with a little sprucing up. The rooms are very spacious though. We particularly enjoyed the wide array of F&B choices at the hotel - probably the best choices you can find in any hotel in sg (which you could even order via room service)! Service again was nothing short of excellent.

Great value for money. Nice sized rooms in orchard. Hotel could do some upgrading as the rooms and facilities are very dated. Bellman services are worth commending on! All of them were helpful and happy to assist. Front desk staff were very approachable and helpful too. Overall very happy with the staff working in the hotel. They made our stay alot better.

Booked for a 2 night staycation. While the room was big and location of course is also great, it was quite smelly (old wood) and the bed was just very soft.

Booked a night's stay at Goodwood Park during a weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience :) Emailed the hotel a few days prior to my stay to inform them I'll be celebrating two belated birthdays and we got a room upgrade to a junior suite! Check in was smooth. Good and prompt service from the hotel staff. Thank you for accommodating to our requests and the lovely room upgrade! We had a great time here.

Wonderful staff and perfect location. In my opinion the people make an experience. And the most important of those are the concierge department. There is nothing too much for them. I have been ferried to the nearest spot to the hospital each day and ask about his progress. Their smile and friendliness is the first thing guests see and reception take over. Again perfect. Courteous and kind, check in smooth. Special mention to Olivia who is so helpful and kind. The pool areas are wonderful. Beds super comfortable and the room is clean. Will always stay here.

Good location close to Orchard road. The building is nice, especially the old part. There is a small pool outdoor pool in the hotel. The breakfast was nice. The booking and the check-in as well as the laguage handling were bad and the worst in Singapore what I experienced in the last 6 years.

Goodwood park hotel teochew porridge, being one of the most acclaimed best food, had the worst service. food ordered were not served, long wait for food to be served, desserts selection and taste were not to even the least standard. Sweet potato soup had no pieces of potatoes, all were mashed up, other desserts were not top up on time, walking to dessert counter twice to find empty trays. Mentioned to staff food were not served, nothing was done, only said Sorry. I’m there to eat, not to hear sorry. Having such bad dinner experience, told staff at least u extend a additional complimentary parking, it’s was not given. Total spending was almost $200 for a lousy dinner. Zero initiative to customers service.

There were bits of dirt and even rice found in the bed, between the sheets and the the blanket, and between the blanket and that decorative cloth that they put on the top of the bed. While housekeeping was very apologetic, she used her hand to pat away the dirt onto the floor and changed the blanket cover ONLY (not the bed sheet). I had to ask her to change the bedsheet as well and she gave me a "oh really?" look but with a fake smile on her face. With the piece of decorative cloth (which looks very dirty and old, not sure how it is decorating..) she rolled it up and placed it into the cabinet. i.e. together with the dirt and rice. I wonder why not take it away and have it washed? Despite working hard to keep a smile on the face, the standard of house keeping service is very low, untrained and unmonitored. I can understand why the room is so tired and old because it is just not well maintained...

Very nice rooms and relaxing ambiance, you really feel transported away from the city centre of Singapore once you enter the grounds. Swimming pools nice, but deep for Mon swimmers and the incline is steep with slippy tiles. Breakfast was okay, could have been better for rooms at this price point. Definitely not 5 star breakfast, rooms yes, breakfast no. All in all though thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

I visited Goodwood Park Hotel for a business trip but ended up extending my stay for leisure. The hotel offers excellent business facilities, including meeting rooms and high-speed internet. It's also conveniently located near shopping and entertainment districts, making it an ideal choice for both work and play.

I really enjoyed high tea at Goodwood Park Hotel. The selection of teas was impressive, catering to all tastes, from classic blends to unique herbal infusions. The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful, the scones were warm and fluffy, and the desserts were simply divine. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our tea cups were never empty and ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect afternoon.

Came here for a go at their pink-themed high tea and unfortunately the seating area in the outdoor patio area at full sunny weather was extremely unpleasant. Requested the reception multiple times to move indoors but was told not available. Food selection was decent but the overall experience was ruined by the outdoor seating. Having paid the same price as other guests seated inside in the comfort of air conditioned lobby, I think the hotel should look into cheaper pricing for outdoor seating for the discomfort caused. Extremely unpleasant experience at Goodwood Park Hotel overall.

The Goodwood Park Hotel exudes old-world charm and sophistication. The service is top-notch, and the staff is always ready to assist. The only drawback was the size of the standard rooms, which could be a bit more spacious. Nevertheless, the experience was delightful, and I appreciated the convenient location.

Stayed here for around a week. Booked the Parklane Suites separate from the main building for the kitchen and washing machine. The age of the room was extremely obvious and in desperate need of a refit, with the exception of the fridge and induction stove which worked well. The king-sized bed was comfortable however the same cannot be said for the sofa bed whose mattress was too thin and the metal frame below can be felt when lying down. Air-con was particularly loud and the dryer was outdated. Toiletries were sufficient in quantity and were consistently restocked however I recommend bring your own nonetheless as they were of lower standard compared to other 5-star hotels'. The toilet itself lacked a powerful ventilator and relied on a fan in the window instead which wasn't sufficient, keeping the room too humid for any towels to dry quickly. Hot water didn't come as quickly as desired, especially in the morning. Breakfast was nothing impressive. Food availability was good for the restaurant's size and food options were typical. However given the price we paid for our stay, there was much left to desire. Service was no doubt the highlight, especially for the porters, doormen and front desk. The porters were humorous and the receptionists were very much efficient. Absolutely no lowlights with the staff who were both positive and professional.

One of the highlights of my stay was the location. Being centrally situated, it was easy to explore nearby attractions and return to the serenity of the hotel. The lush environment provided a serene escape, and the afternoon tea under the shade of trees was an unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Goodwood Park Hotel.

Stayed in the Mayfair room. The room was extremely dated in many aspects. The bathroom probably takes the cake. No separate shower area so one has to climb into the tub to take a shower. Bottom of tub had black stains probably due to age. I understand that this is an old hotel but there are so many other old hotels who have done an amazing job at maintenance and upkeep. The price of the room wasn't exactly cheap too. I guess you are just paying for the hotel branding

Customer service is top notch. Got an upgraded room to a poolside suite with balcony. I got to commend the team & their leader Mr. Ang for going out of their way to make me and my partner feel welcomed. We celebrated his birthday here and got a nice lovely cake from them. Would visit here again.

Absolutely disgusted with the way the front desk answered my queries. I was calling to enquire about pool booking and had to put on hold due to confirmation with my family on how many pax to ensure we adhere to the rules. Was met with the front desk not knowing that I was able to hear him after I put off the hold on the call with a snarky reply.

A very well established hotel with a very long history. At one time, it had a Scottish interior decor. Well known for its afternoon tea, its Taiwanese porridge, its Gordon Grille, Japanese restaurant and its famous Min Jiang Chinese restaurant which has a branch in Dempsey Village and in the Royal Garden Hotel near Kensington Palace in London. Parking is atrociously expensive. Hence, I only go there when I have no choice.

By far one of the best hotels i’ve stayed. Being a heritage hotel, the interior is as expected to be dated. Check-in was very quick as there was no crowd. We were given a free upgrade to a mayfair room with direct pool access which was beyond expectations as we booked with a request for a pool facing room. We were personally escorted to our room and the staff gave us a informative tour of the facilities as we were walking to the room. The room is the largest i’ve seen for the price, kept well and clean with renovation works done to the headboard and television. We shortly after received a nice small cake from another staff at the door. For pool usage, we booked for a late night swim, which unfortunately the surrounding lights and pool lights were not turned on hence it was quite dark especially at the deeper end which goes to 2.5metres. Another minor issue is other guests smoking within the pool area, which i don’t attribute any fault to the hotel as these smokers lack such basic courtesy to other guests. Overall it is one of the best hotel stays i’ve had compared to many other hotels for the same price point.

This was a pleasant staycation. After checking with the hotel in the morning, we were advised that we could check in earlier. Upon arrival, we were fortunate to find a sheltered car park, at the multi-storey car park next to Shima restaurant. It was a short walk to the hotel lobby. The check-in was processed after a short wait and we managed to get to our room after a short while. Due to the faulty lift and layout, we had a hotel staff who accompanied us to our room. The walk to our room would have been shorter if the lift worked. There was some renovation going on but the cleanliness was not a concern. The room was spacious, clean and we were glad to have a balcony. The room was more "classy" than "modern". After our check, we were pleased to find things in order and the room did not feel "aged". It was good to have a big TV in the room, a nice centrepiece. The room was cooled down quickly by the aircon and we turned off the ceiling fan as it was getting cold. We found TWG tea and Nescafe 3-in-1 sachets waiting and wasted no time putting the kettle to good use. During our stay, we chose the room with a bathtub and it was decent sized in a properly sized toilet. While resting on the bed, we felt a bit itchy but the itch "disappeared" over the night - I guessed maybe it was just too dry. We managed to sleep well through the night though we would have preferred the pillow to be more firm. The place has 2 pools, a list of lovely restaurants. It was a short walk to the stretch of shopping malls along Scotts Road. There were 2 "supermarkets" in the nearby malls with an array of nice eateries tucked away amidst the various shops for retail therapy. Our dining experience at the Coffee Lounge was very pleasant. This restaurant is highly recommended - we ordered some lovely dishes from their Taiwan ala carte menu.

Supposed to enjoy my birthday lunch treat from my wife on 6/8/2022 at coffee lounge. (Reputable 5 stars hotel) At first , I still enjoyed the hot porridge and the first dishes. And start ordering a few a la carte buffet dishes. It were served and taste delicious . We then ordered two more dishes of vegetables before we leave. Our emptied water bottle was removed, without replacing another one or refilling our glasses. While waiting for almost twenty minutes, all our plates were also removed without replacing with clean ones too. We also overheard the table on our right have their orders wrongly taken for two times. Waited another ten minutes, asked for the water and the plates. Asked about our two dishes, re order again. The food came in another five minutes. I fully understand the shortage of manpower but l believe the minimum quality of customer services must be sustained especially in F&B, furthermore in a reputable hotel. We do enjoyed the food and environment. Do hope that more attention are pay into the customer services.

Absolutely love the classic vintage feel of this heritage hotel. It's in a nice, relatively tranquil corner of the bustling Orchard Road, and provides a nice respite from the crowd. The hotel itself is also quiet and peaceful, which I enjoy very much. The room is spacious, clean, with ample amenities. We got a free upgrade to the heritage room, which was such a sweet bonus! The key of making our stay extraordinary was the service. Idil, the head housekeeper, was so friendly and helpful. When we asked for more bottled water for our room, they were delivered very quickly too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will strongly recommend anyone who's into history and prefers a quiet environment to stay here!

This is not a 5Star hotel. This stay has been disappointing in so many levels! Accomodation: we booked what it seemed to be a suite (with living room, kitchen and bathtub) well it is an old holiday flat, with poor maintenance, humidity in the bathroom , ants in the entrance and notes regarding not leaving any food uncover due to pests… Staff: Cleaning and portiere staff were very nice and hardworking. Couldn’t say the same about the dinners manager I had the bad luck to come across with during afternoon tea. Price: they really charge a 5star rate without delivering. First impression was bad and it became worse. Breakfast included: the deal breaker for me when choosing a hotel, and it was there when I had to ask if there was any cancellation policy we could use to leave the hotel that very day. Coffe was so bad! In all sense it just feels like any other 3 star hotel that might have been a palace back in the days. If you are looking for luxury of comfort this is not the place to go. Food - room service Hit and miss, one night we had the burger with absolutely delicious fries. Another night 2/4 dishes were incredible and 2/4 dishes where horrible yet not able to differentiate if it’s the dish or if it’s just bad.

Five star service from the bellman. Very friendly staff. Good variety of vegetarian food. Staffs were quick to clear once food has been finished. Only issue was didn't had proper directional sign to guide guest but must be directed by staff was good enough.

Great place to stay in Singapore! Have lot of memories in this hotel since my childhood in 1980s, remain comfortable, luxurious and clean after all these years. The hotel was built since 1900 and become hotel at 1929 with expansion on 1980 and keep renovating the rooms so it always looks fresh and comfortable.

Was living in Singapore for 15 years and finally it was great to be able to return to Singapore after the pandemic, and stay at this hotel, the hotel rooms are quite spacious, the food in the restaurant is also delicious. And most importantly, the hotel staff is very friendly. The location is very strategic, you can walk along Orchard Road and this is what i am doing when i meet my friends who live in Singapore. I can’t wait to come back and live in Singapore again, but not stay in a hotel again of course. Good hotel, ample parking, I can see if Hotel often used for weddings, and mostly used for business meetings, maybe because of its central location close to the embassy office

The parklane suite room was very spacious and clean. Special mention to the manager, Kelvin who was very welcoming and professional. Since we had arrived right after our wedding, he offered us an upgrade and gave us complimentary welcome drink and breakfast. We really appreciate the kind gestures. We would also like to thank the buggy driver Kunendran for the great customer service and making sure our needs were met. The rest of the staff on duty were also extremely polite and professional. Kudos to the team! Thank you for going above and beyond!
