    * This is from a perspective of first time staying at a Capsule/budget hotel. So.. not sure how it usually is. * Stayed for 1 week. - STAFF/FRONT DESK - Most are really nice, friendly, helpful. But just like any hotel, there's always good & bad ones. Just luck. - There's this temp malay girl. Can't really see her name tag but it's something like Dani? Or starts with D. She's very nice and helpful. Since it was my first experience, there's a lot of things I'm not familiar with. Thus, many questions. There's also this Chinese night shift guy that was really sweet. When he saw me at the common areas, he tried to check with me if the request I made was done by the other staff. - ROOM: Single Pod Suite - SIZE - Since it's a Capsule Hotel, I suppose it's straightforward that the room is really minimal? Simply the size of 2 single bed, side by side. So the room has just 1 small bed and a small table. Can't leave your luggage opened around . Once done, you'll have to close it for space to walk. Sitting on the bed may be challenging for those that are quite tall. I'm less than 160cm, it's fine. - CLEANLINESS - Room/Bed: OK Toilets: Bearable. Time to time, there's pee on the floors. - Wi-Fi : OK - Charging Point: Only 1 - If you have more devices, need to take turn to charge. - LIGHTING - Just as the photos online. Most areas are more dimlit. Which is something I love. - SOUND - If lucky, your neighbours are quiet. Just sounds of doors closing can be loud. If not, you'll clearly hear every conversation in the neighbouring rooms, as though you are in the same room with them. Some will talk on their phone in the hallways & you can hear it from your room. - The room I was in.. The guy next door talks on the phone every evening/night. And watches videos. Without earphones. Worst of all.. Every morning at 5+am his alarm will go off loudly and wake me every day. Then open and close the doors loudly - AIRCON - If the outside aircon is facing your room, it can be very cold. If it isn't, then you might not feel wind flow or much ventilation. - INCLUDED - Pretty much bring all your own. Just all the toilet has toilet paper & common dining area has tissue. You have to bring... Toothbrush, toothpaste, cup, shampoo, shower gel, etc. * Towel: Can get 1 from them. However, theirs has a weird smell, doesn't feel clean. - ENVIRONMENT - Think there is a... Mosque Or some religion place nearby. Often you'll hear like... Prayers or chanting? - Probably due to COVID, they have lots of long term staying foreign workers. Typically, you'll see them from evening till night (when back from work). May want to avoid the crowd (at bathrooms / common dining area). Dining area has around 4 tables. It can get pretty noisy during that time. Be it talking or watching shows from their phones etc. They doesn't seem clean/neat. Sometimes even the sofa has food on it. There's always chunks of food left in the sink. However, the staff mentioned that they do clean and disinfect the dining area. Not sure how often though. One thing that really bothered me is there's 1 fan there. and oh my.. It looks like it haven't been washed for.....a very long time! The dust on it is shocking.... And... For their bath time, you'll see them half naked on top, and bottom just wearing that one piece wrapped cloth (not sure what is it called) and without mask. Then there's the sounds of like.. old men clearing their phlegm etc. - FOOD & DRINKS - Water Dispenser: They have that in the lobby for Hot/Cold water. Lots of stalls nearby. Ranges from Indian prata shop to Japanese/Thai restaurants etc. But for late night.. (till 3am) Mostly left with Indian prata shops. Or 7-11 (There's more than 1, But only 1 is 24h). Quite small. - SHOES - Once reached your floor/level, you need to put your shoes in their lockers & go barefoot or wear clean Slippers. But.. The smell in the lockers.. It's real bad. My shoe end up with a smell that is hard to get off.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, where I tried both a single private room and a shared room. Although the rooms were small, they were clean and comfortable, and I felt that they were a great value for the price. The staff were also very helpful and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable. One thing that really impressed me about this hotel was their affordable laundry service, which made it easy and convenient for me to keep my clothes clean during my trip. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to budget-conscious travelers looking for a nice, clean and convenient place to stay in Singapore.

I have mixed feelings about this place. And out of 6 days I got good sleep for only 2 of them. I had a single room but there's a hole at the top so it's not a private room and more like a dormitory with walls as you can still hear all your neighbours noises. The facilities are decent warm shower, clean towels, free clean water tap, plug outlets but could be cleaned more regularly. There were a few leaks in the bathrooms, mold and dirt. The reception staff are excellent and do make an effort to ensure you have a good stay. Location wise this is okay. Easy to reach by taxi, good bus links, mrt is a bit far after a long day exploring, 15 minutes approx.

The rooms are really small, I did not feel safe sleeping on a bed that was around 5 feet from the floor. For the price of the room, it would be better to get a normal budget hotel room. The toilet and bath are outside the room, but are big and clean. I enjoyed hanging out in the lobby with free coffee. You will need to walk without your shoes going to your Pod, and have to be very quiet. It was a good experience to try out, but definitely not for long-term stays (for me).

I would NOT recommend this place. It was my boyfriend's first experience at a capsule hotel and my third experience after staying at capsule hotels in Japan. This one was by far much worse. The bathrooms weren't cleaned regularly or properly. During our stay there, we found large clumps of hair in the shower stall or clogged toilets which weren't cleaned throughout our stay there. Additionally, there was obvious water mould forming in between the tiles of the shower stall. The garbage cans in each shower room were often overflowing and spilling on to the floor. The bathrooms didn't have any A/C or fan to air it out while showering despite the booking promising A/C during our stay there. The laundry service wasn't free either - which was not clearly stated on the booking. It was ridiculously priced with each piece of clothing costing a few bucks. This would quickly add up for anyone who had been travelling for some time like ourselves. We decided against using the laundry service because of the cost and waited until our next destination to do so. Finally, we only found out on our last day via a tiny posting in the lounge area that the hotel had discounted tickets for various tourist attractions. This itself is a minor disappointment that it wasn't advertised to us sooner but on top of the lack of cleanliness, lack of consistent A/C, and costly laundry services, it was just another disappointment. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality capsule hotel to look for a place that actually CARES about how it comes across to its guests (especially when it comes to cleanliness). The only good things I would have to say about this hotel is that the common area was kept clean and it was quiet. It was also close to a bus stop but a bit further away from a MRT station. I wouldn't come back again because of the lack of cleanliness and misrepresentation in the booking.

We stayed in a private suite which was clean and comfortable, with a queen size bed. There was only one charger port in the room though which made it difficult to charge devices between my partner and I. The charging ports in the common area didn’t have universal ports so we couldn’t use them. Although the pods were small, there was plenty of room to store your bags under the bed and desk. The staff were also lovely to deal with. The showers and toilets could have been cleaner. I saw the cleaners there multiple times throughout the day but each shower was always flooded with hair all over the ground. I saw one cleaner cleaning one of the toilet floors by just flooding it with water and soap and when I walked in 10mins later after she had finished the floor was still saturated and looked dirty. The bathroom does have hairdryers and an iron if needed. The lift was out of service at the end of our trip so it meant lugging bags up and down, and half of the showers were out of order on our floor so it meant there were only 3 showers available for the whole floor. The common area was clean and cool, and had a fridge, microwave, hot and cold water station.

Honestly just get a real hotel for the price. The building is way too hot, people are loud and it wasn’t a great time. There was nowhere to get water unless you brought your own bottle, since the vending machine was sold out. The bathrooms had the annoying delayed button sinks that provide about 2 seconds of water. There’s also not enough seating for eating in the lobby. If you’re on the top bunk, there’s not enough of a railing to prevent you from falling so you don’t really feel safe.

The hostel is very convenient, safe and only about 10 minutes walking distance from Bugis MRT station. All the rooms and bathrooms are very clean and maintained very well. All the staff are nice and helpful. I stayed there for 1 night and slept very well. There were many items in breakfast not just bread and coffee. A highly recommended capsule hotel in Singapore...

The pod itself is a bit average. The curtain does little to stop light coming in and the pod gets very warm. Bring an eye mask and earplugs if you want some sleep.

Nice looking place but really didn’t follow through. Rooms were smelly and noisy, and there was a lot of light during the night meaning it was difficult to sleep. It also got very hot, even with aircon, so the privacy blind had to be left up otherwise it was unbearable to sleep. Shower and toilet facilities weren’t regularly cleaned and access to soap wasn’t consistent. Staff were pleasant and helpful though. Only reason it got 3* is because of the affordability.

My stay here was great! The design of the hotel is beautiful and modern and the facilities are very clean. All the staff was very friendly throughout our stay. The wifi worked very well, I work online and had no issues. The location is amazing, it is walking distance from a lot of sights and restaurants and there are several public transportation options nearby, too. I would stay here again!

I was really skeptical at first bcs this is my 1st time staying at a capsule hotel. But, it turned out, it wasn't as bad as i thought. It was actually a great exp! The bedroom and bathroom area are clean bcs u cant use your shoes in those area. The bedroom design is nice and neat. The locker for our bags is quite big, fit for 1 cabin suitcase and 2 backpacks. However, the room is not soundproof so you have to be very thoughtful when talking or packing as u have others sleeping in the same room. The bathroom is nice, exactly like in the pictures. There are about 6-7 bathrooms each floor. The cleanliness depends on the last person who used it. But i think they clean it daily bcs it is never too dirty. They provide towel, tissue and bath soap too. They also have a hair dryer that we can use.. Bus stop is literally in front of the place, while the nearest MRT station is Bugis, which takes around 12-15 minutes walk. Near the place, u'll find some good food to eat such as House of Kebab, Overrice, Golden Mile Hawker Centre, etc.

I stayed for 6 nights in this Pod capsule hotel and I must say that I am very impressed with the hotel. They keep the rooms and ripest very clean plus the customers there are so well behaved. Inside the room,it was so quiet that nobody disturbs you in any way. Plus the lobby where we can work and mingle with like minded persons if interested makes is even more amazing. Jimmy from Bhutan

Quite impressive. Compare to the hotel, the price was a lot cheaper. Very good location. The bus stop is at the front of the hotel. Everything was clean and it was very quite at night. They have the keycard for every room so good security. We booked two person pod. It was not that small. The bed was about Queen size. However, it was quite inconvenient to go to the toilet at night. We have to climb down since we get the second floor bed. Overall, very good experience, worth the price.

This is the first time I have stayed in a capsule hotel. I found it very agreeable for its price. Pods were compact and clean. They offered the essential amenities: charging, lockable storage, shared bathrooms, towels, and free breakfast. I had an early flight so I didn't get the chance to try the free breakfast. The service is attentive - they will call a taxi or grab for you if you need.

Best Hostel in Singapore I could say that the pod is my Favorite hostel as the pod always be my number one choice whenever i go to singapore as solo traveller Been staying here for the first time in 2016. And so far, ive been staying at the pod 5-6 times. Yes.. i quite often visit singapore in the last few years and mostly for a concert. And i love my last visit. Because they allow me to check in earlier. Thankyou!! So, the pod is always be my choice because some reasons 1. its location. You can access the pod easily from changi airport as its located near to Bugis MRT station. And the pod also located near to Nicholl highway MRT station, which is its only one station from Stadium MRT station. Where many concerts mostly held in singapore 2. the pod location also very near to Sultan Mosque. And this is important for me. As i moeslem, so as its near to mosque, so its easy for me to find halal food nearby 3. Eventhough its hostel, but you still have privacy as you'll stay in a capsule. Not bunk bed 4. The toilet is very clean. And they also have bidet spray. This important as not all hotel in singapore provide bidet spray in their toilet 5. They provide standard amenities. And their towel also very clean.. almost like new 6. You can have refill mineral water 24/7. As mineral water in singapore is pricey. For me this is good ya.. 7. They also provide 24/7 coffee and tea Right before covid, i visit singapore and i stayed there. At that moment they still served us Breakfast. But, on my last visit in Feb 2023, they no longer provide breakfast I love their breakfast as they serving quite various breakfast. Not only bread and fruit. So i hope, if i have chance to visit singapore in near future. They'll serving us breakfast again!!!

Unclear on rules of staying, small terms and conditions on website dictate that you are unable to stay here if its a leisure booking. Fair enough, happy to find somewhere else, but they are unwilling to refund any of the 5 night stay purchased. Do not risk it, their terms and conditions could turn you away at the door and offer no refund. Avoid at all costs

It strategically located within central area and near to bus stop and mrt. Its very convenient for traveler that heavily rely on public transportation. Halal eateries scattered around nearby for your convenience also. It offers clean sharing facilities and comfortable bed for your peace of mind. The only downside is the blind shade has its opaqueness maybe 3/5 so other can still see you (maybe not). A dedicated section was allocated for female only dorm which added features for security. Brownies point on that.

Singapore offers an amazing array of hostels and given we hadn’t explored them until now, we decided to book our stay at ‘The Pod Capsule Hotel at Beach Road’ based upon a personal recommendation. The Pod definitely didn’t disappoint and rather proved to be a perfect stay option for us. Located amidst the happening Haji lane and Arab street neighbourhood, it offers amazing connectivity and happy vibes. Their friendly and prompt service along with it being well maintained makes it apt for solo as well as couple travellers. Stay options differ from a Single pod to a Double pod. The Queen suite however offers better privacy comparatively.

I stayed in a single pod (upper deck) in a female only dormitory. Can be challenging to climb the ladder up to your pod. The bars on the ladder are quite wide apart. The lower deck is better, also when you need to leave your luggage in the cupboard below the bed which is locked using your key card. Shared the dorm with many other female pod guests, at night it was fairly quiet but the lights were left on and the sheer roller blinds next to the pods allow the lights in through the translucent fabric. Bed and pillows were comfy and clean. You need to leave your shoes in the locker. No outside shoes in the dorm. There is a drink vending machine but it ran out of water, also around the area. Shower room and WC were clean, strong water pressure, and soap is provided.

Very quick and easy check in. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They provide you with a little amenities pack (bedroom slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, earplugs), and a towel. Shower gel and shampoo are provided in the bathrooms. The beds and pillows are comfortable, only downside is that if your room is facing the main street, it can get a little noisy, hence the ear plugs came in handy. Lots of affordable food around the area, and it's pretty central to a lot of tourist things.

Our stay at the pod hotel was a great experience. It was the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at. There is free drinking water, tea and coffee available, as well as free slippers, tooth brush and paste. The staff was friendly and eager to solve all our extra wishes which were a lot since I fell sick in Singapore. They were so helpful and kind. I liked sleeping in a little pod that is really your own private space and feels very cozy. If we return to Singapore I will be happy to come here again :)

Good value for money. It's essentially a youth hostel but with more privacy. Very clean, beds are comfortable, good location by the arab quarter which is one of the more interesting neighbourhoods in Singapore. Maybe problematic if you're a light sleeper as there are many pods to a room and so there will be a little noise. Personally I didn't find it to be a problem and they provide free ear plugs if you need them.

I had the Queen Pod in a private room. The most expensive option available because I wanted the privacy and I knew I’ll have a bit more luggage than most. The good: 1. The staffs are very friendly and the common areas are constantly being cleaned by someone. 2. The pods felt pretty spacious and clean. They give you slippers to change into. There are also shoe lockers. 3. There are free coffee/ tea/ water refill in the common area on the 3rd floor. 4. The check-in and check-out process was simple and easy. 5. The bed was comfy and the pillows & comforter was nice. I had a good night sleep whenever I could sleep (jet lagged). 6. Wi-fi was consistent and pretty fast throughout the hotel. However, you did have to keep switching wifi network because it would be different if you moved from one floor to another. 7. This area is central to a lot of different sites and it was a really good value for money in that regards. You could walk or bus to a lot of places. The not so good: 1. Sleeping ROOMs: It’s technically a private room (queen pod) but you’re sharing an overall bigger room that’s been divided with 3 other people, 4 total (more if two stays in the same room). Same air (there’s a hole at the top of the doors of the individual rooms but not the main entrance of the big overall room) so when someone’s sick the air is circulated to each of the rooms within this bigger room, sharing the same bed space (someone is either on top or under you and the noise is loud when they knocked on the wood), and the same overall space so every little noise (sneezing, coughing, opening luggage, watching movies, etc) is heard by everyone else. 2. Luggage storage: it felt too open for the public so things could get stolen as opposed to having someone manage that space. It’s just a corner for people to leave their luggage. I wish my things felt more protected. 3. The common area also felt really small for the amount of people that was staying there. Not enough seats in the main area. There was a time where I couldn’t find a seat. 4. You can only eat/ drink in the common areas and not inside your room. There’s a fridge in the common area that seemed gross and super packed. I understand why they have this rule, the smell, but I wished there were fridges on other floors as well, as opposed to this single fridge for the entire hotel. 5. The toilets get hot and dirty quickly. They may clean them regularly but it still gets dirty since it’s co-ed. I recommend using the shower rooms (that also has a toilet and sink). Overall I would go back, but I would probably stay at a regular pod now that I know that I wouldn’t have a ton of privacy in a “private room” anyway. I would also go back when I have less luggage while traveling. Getting my 2 suitcases + duffle bag up and down the first set of stairs was a pain though the rest of the hotel uses the elevators. It’s definitely good value for money for the location and the comfy bed. It’s especially good for travelers that just wants a comfy bed to crash on. Oh and bring water bottles & umbrella (preferably one that can also block sun), you’ll need it!

i loved this place, i payed for a private room and it was definitely worth it because i had too much luggage to share a tight space with other people, the breakfast was delicious, the cappuccino was even better, and the bathrooms were great! it’s a great location as well

The staff are super friendly and the dorms were pretty comfy in general. Only issue we had was that some people can be very loud when closing their doors and not very considerate of the other people sleeping, but that obviously isn’t the pods fault. Also, the AC is on all night, which can be great, but it can also be very cold for some people. I would definitely recommend this place though. My wife and I stayed for 13 nights in a single dorm.

I always stay in hotel. First time try capsule hotel in Singapore. I decided to give The Pod a try for my business travel. I was impressed by the clean atmosphere and the staff greeted me nicely. I see some reviews mention is a hostel but i feel is more like a small luxury hotel. I was brief about the rules by a young looking staff and he showed me to my capsule and explained how the locker works, facilities and nearby got a 24 hours mart. He even entertained my questions and queries throughout my stay. They also have a business pod too you can consider here for your working trip.

The facilities are clean and well maintained. The rooms are kind of quiet zone, mostly for resting. Eating and conversation in common area. There's a locker enough to fit carry on luggage under the bed. Bigger luggages has to keep at common area (different floor). Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, opening the under bed locker or drawing the binds make noises. The rooms (at least the one I stayed) do not have windows, no sunlight, some times the place feels a bit damp. Definitely recommended for solo travellers.

Great location, can't beat it for the price they're asking. Facilities are well maintained and overall feels rather homely. The only issue is that some of the guests are extremely inconsiderate, not keeping their volume down even in the wee hours - watching content on their phones without earphones, slamming doors shut etc.

Very friendly staff, best price for a well located accommodation with clean rooms and comfortable beds (just as on the pictures). They have international chargers and during our short stay all the lockers were working as well, so our belongings were safe, I can honestly recommend it for individuals and couples as well, the double beds were quite wide for two people. Also the Marina Bay area is less then 30 min walk from this location, but with a rental/shared bike it can be done in 10 min. 👌

28/09/22. We were just doing a three day visa run from Vietnam and took the opportunity to visit Singapore. This hostel is value for money at £60 a night for private room with communal shower and toilet. The only thing I would suggest to management to improve the stay and at minimal costs to the company are a shelf at the headboard end with charging socket, mirror in the room and possibly a bin in the room. We would probably pay more to stay somewhere else if there was a next time but it was very popular and we had to book well in advance.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable, with decent privacy and electrical outlets within the pod. Bathrooms are great as well. You are given a small welcome pack with slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste on arrival. The kitchen area is always accessible to heat/eat your own food. Close to shops, restaurants and public transport. Aircon was super cold at night, and there is no space to move around outside of your bed in the walkway, which makes accessing luggage difficult when there’s people coming and going. If you’re a light sleeper, bring noise canceling headphones, because if you’re stuck next to a loud snorer, you’re not getting any sleep. We booked well in advance and paid twice as much than if we were to pay when we arrived. For the price, we could’ve got a cheaper hotel within a few kms. Great for short stays, but a week was too long.

Easy to find, great stay and 24 hour front desk. Smooth check-in and check-out. 1 cctv in front of the room and another 1 near the window in the shower area just to keep in mind. Bed and sheets smelled good and clean. My 21 inch luggage fit the storage under my bed. The staff all male, so better change your clothes in the bathroom. The blinds is see through. Few minutes away from Bugis Street and Haji Lane where you can find all good foods around.

stayed the for 2nights ,and after much consideration decided to stayed on for couple weeks more. Reception front office so far very friendly and accomdative. Room is a little tiny but comfortable and reading area is cozy. But there re some migrants around so it's a bit scary as they just openly talking out loudly and eating . But overall it's acceptable and definitely after the weeks I'll return .

Very clean room; simple, functioning amenities incl laundry; completely automated check-in/check-out; one electronic card works for room safe where you can put your luggage; good community – staffs were very helpful, and the room mates were gentle; shoes stayed in locker; rooms were pleasantly quiet! You can even keep your luggage for free after you check-out! Just loved it, will certainly recommend. Great value for money!

I was eager to experience staying in a pod capsule hostel. I had originally booked this place for May 2020, but I had to cancel due to COVID. So, with long anticipation, I arrived in Singapore ready to be amazed. Unfortunately, this experience fell short. It felt like another hostel experience, the only difference is that you have a shade to pull down, giving you privacy from your dormmates. The hostel offers no amenities. The common area is small, probably only accommodating 25% of guests. There is no designated working area if you are working remotely. And it's almost impossible to find privacy here. Per usual, the rooms are loud – some people lack consideration and make noise all throughout the night. Luckily, the beds are clean and maintenance cleans the communal bathrooms daily. Overall, I was unimpressed and sad I waited 3+ years for this experience. That said, Singapore is an expensive city and accommodations are astronomical, so if you're looking to save a buck and are okay with missing out on sleep, The Pod Boutique is not a terrible option.

The place was amazing, quiet and clean. Staffs were very helpful and warm, which is rarely seen even in expensive hotels. The shower room is detached but understandable as it is not exactly a hotel. But rest assured, the service you get might just be better than one! I was very impressed with the place and the staffs Travis, Eva and Hemant. If opportunity arises, I would definitely stay here again.

The hostel located around 10 - 12 min walks to Bugis MRT station and really close to Arab Street. Reception at 3rd floor and we stay at 5th floor. The building has elevator as well. Friendly and helpful staff. The bed is comfy but the aircon in the room so cold 🥶 (we book the queen pod suite) shared bathroom and toilet. Free tea, coffee and water at 3rd floor. Strong wifi. They also provide toothbrush, towel and slipper. Overall its a nice stay.

As always, the check in at the Pod is greeted by friendly staff. Also seeing familiar faces like Francis, Ganesh and back office staff always make the visit and stay like homecoming. It was the weekend of F1 and the whole place was fully booked yet toilets, shower rooms and common areas are constantly cleaned with no mess for the convenient use of in-house guests. That’s what I like about the cleanliness of this place. Air conditioning in the room were at perfect temperature and well ventilated. Bed, pillows and beddings were clean and comfy as usual for a good night sleep. This is definitely a recommended place for overnight stay without frills and reasonably priced.

We stayed for 3 nights in a mixed queen pod. WiFi and breakfast is good. Rooms are clean. Unfortunately it is way too hot in the hallway and bathrooms. No real fan. No soap for hand washing. Only one socket for two people sharing a pod. Doors of the rooms are really loud whole closing and people don't try to be calm so it's noisy all night. We wouldn't book that again as it's hard to get sleep.

Went to the capsule hotel along with a few of my friends. It was a great experience as the room was relatively big where we are still able to hang out and talk comfortably without much difficulty due to the seating arrangement. We were able to crowd around one bed to chill. Furthermore, the breakfast and service from the staff (Travis, Kenneth and Eva) is wonderful. Really enjoyed my stay there.

location is very accessible to the nearest mrt station, and walking distance to alot of the other main tourist destinations. definitely a great place to stay for a few nights if you have an event to attend, the air conditioning was almost too good! (35 degrees outside and i still managed to actually feel cold each night)

Really fun place to stay. Because it is a hostel there is some noise at night in the dorms as people come in, however the management team do their best to limit this and I found when I wore ear plugs my sleep was not disturbed. The bathrooms were generally clean. Great location - close to tubes and bus links.

The room is clean and tidy. There is water dispenser, coffee machine, microwave and fridge provided in the common area which is very convenient. The shared toilet is clean as well. There will be cleaner to come clean up and sanitize often, at least once a day. The part to be improved will be the sound insulation as the door is heavy with the lock and it cause very noisy when people come in and out. We were woke up early by 6ish morning due to the noisiness😢🥲

Overall it’s not clean enough. The place smells. Rooms were way too dark with extremely little space to walk through, ventilation in the rooms are very poor, air is stale therefore. Bathroom facilities were not ventilated and smelled. The body wash they provide made my skin instantly dry and gave me a massive allergic reaction, I couldn’t stop itching my whole body. I have normal white skin. The manager was very unprofessional and tried to gaslight me when I said so, made fun of me in front of guests and staff when I asked if I could swap to another room that would be more ventilated or have more natural light. I checked out 30 min after I checked in. I went to a hotel after straight to the shower so I could wash off the bad soap from the Pod. Don’t use their shower gel, it’s truly bad! Don’t go there, it’s a toxic environment, not a good place.

For a hostel it’s good. Well located. Low prices. But, if your sleep is light you will find it very difficult to sleep among the snoring symphony of a shared room. Bathrooms and showers could be a bit cleaner. For the price charged I would rather go for a hotel room next time.

Very disappointing in comparison to how the Boutique hostel presents itself online. There is no personal touch whatsoever, the rooms are extremely loud and the cleanliness is mediocre. Our pod was less then a meter away from the door so we couldn’t turn around without having the door slammed into us. Not a pleasant experience..

Awesome experience. I like the concept very very well. It's a very pleasent stay with peaceful atmosphere. The room was well maintained with all norms. Customer service was also good. Its very near to Haji Lane and near to Bugis metro station. So both travelling and hanging out wont be an issue. Must defenetely try The Pod atleast once. Verdict : A lifetime experience ❤️

Had a great stay at The Pod last week. It's strategically located in the city center, easy to get around with buses and MRT (metro) to anywhere. The hostel was pretty clean, the staff are nice & helpful. I slept in a Single Pod Suite; the bed is very comfortable & the blanket is nice. The AC (outside the room) works great; a nice, cool escape from the heat outside. Oh, and good wifi, too! No breakfast, though (I guess because of Covid times). But I wish there was a hot coffee vending machine, or at least provide some instant coffee packets. By the way, I wrote in advance to get a pod in the lower bunk and I got it. Thank you! Yes, it's still a hostel. You can hear the people in the neighboring rooms if they talk, or snore, a bit too loud. But nothing a pair of earplugs can't fix. Plenty to see around the area: Kampong Glam, Bugis, with City Hall and Orchard Road not too far away. AND there are so many eateries to choose from! I walked a little bit to find great places where the locals go, and they are excellent! The Pod is highly recommended.

After checking into one of the worst hotels I have ever been to; we decided to relocate to the Pod Boutique as it was just down the road. I wish we saw it first! They were able to book us in for 2 nights and the room was ready right away. Nice clean facilities, comfortable bed, great location and nice staff

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveller and chose a private pod. I found the bed comfortable and spacious even though the room itself was a small space. If you are claustrophobic then the private rooms might not be for you. The reception staff are very communicative and friendly. They even helped with my itinerary.

Great location. Not a private pod - it is open above the door so you can hear everything in each pod. Pods next to us were extremely noisy at night time. And the heavy doors bang every time someone goes in or out. Not for a light sleeper!

I booked a single pod suite. Its 2.30am and the walls are so thin I can hear my neighbour snorting throughout the night. You have a door, but there's this huge space above the door that's just metal grills to let the air con in from outside (because the room itself does not have one). The door and "walls" here are just glorified pieces of cardboard to give you a sense of perceived privacy. The rooms smell like toilet and the toilets here are kept on standards lower than a toilet at the wet market. It reeks. Don't bother wasting your money on a "private" room here.

The location is great, as it's just in front of a bus stop. However, do note that nearest MRT is ~10 mins walk. I've stayed in the front entry pod, and it's nice and clean, with no fuss. Inside the pod you get a folding table and some hangers for your towels. One slight downside is the small/limited space in the common room/pantry, as during peak times all the sofas are often taken up.

The premises are very very clean, breakfast is simple. The lounge area is useful, with plenty of water. Some of the staff are clearly racist, which is why I took 1 star off. I have stayed for more than 25 nights here across 12 months. Otherwise there is not a single thing wrong with this place and may well be the best hostel in the world.

Better than expected! Location was perfect, many buses just in front and nearest MRT just few minutes walking. We had a queen pod with window. Clean and quiet, perfect for a good night rest. Would recommend 🙂

Pros: An incredible location right in Kampong Glam. Very, very clean place! Truly the softest and most comfy bedsheets I have ever experienced at a hotel or hostel anywhere. Cons: Soo expensive for the amount of noise that there comes from other guests. Really not the fault of the hotel, but the doors close quite heavily and absolutely nobody seems to read the ‘close lightly’ sign. We requested a lower bunk way in advance but they weren’t able to accommodate as they were almost completely full and somehow it wasn’t included in our reservation requests.(they seemed a bit overbooked as I overheard at least 2 other groups complaining about the same thing in the lobby) The common area is small for the size of the place and therefore is usually full with nowhere to sit. *cries from lack of sleep*.

The newly renovated Pod is not a bad place to stay. It can be a little noisy with the heavy doors. However, I slept very well because it was very dark and I felt snug.

Great hostel at a great price, good amenities, clean, amazing staff and service, sits in the middle of two MRT stations on different lines which is great for accessing many areas quickly. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Singapore. Pod itself had everything you needed, privately and a lockable spot underneath for all your belongings, two pillows was a great inclusion. Good nights sleep and super cool air con to escape the humidity!
