Booked this hotel online, paid & going there by taxi after 9pm. No reception person & it seems empty. CANNOT CHECK IN & have to leave the hotel again by taxi. Try to call the hotel emergency # but still they don't pick it up. Such a waste of money. NOT RECOMMENDED. Save your money for something else.

This hotel is small and clean, comfy bed. If you have heavy baggages ask the front desk to get lower floor as this hotel has no Elevator/Lift. No complimentary water and toothbrush set. No breakfast. Has body wash, shampoo and conditioner in bottle. Hawkers are just downstairs Good Location. Jalan Besar station is just stone away. Rochor station is 350m away. Thank you so much Mr. Hatta your so kind and helpful receptionist. This Hotel is highly recommended when your budget traveler.

This is a no frills hotel right in the heart of the city. easy to get to town or it is a short walk to the MRT or the queen st bus station - bus to Johor Bahru. Cheap and value for money but the hotel has no facilities.

This is a budget hotel, so don't expect much about it. I would recommend it for short stay, if you want a room for yourself esp if capsule hotels aren't your preference. The location is strategic to MRTs, Bugis and Little India. But facility-wised, not really impressive. I saw cockroach crawling, cockroach eggs too. I could hear the noise of people at the corridors and the other guy from the next room. So I barely slept 2hrs.

I recently stayed at this budget hotel for four nights, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. One star sums it up. This hotel lacks an elevator. The room's size was extremely disappointing; it was so cramped that moving around with just three bags was a challenge. The facilities were subpar, with pathetic WiFi both in the room and corridors. The bed was not only small but uncomfortably hard, and with no daily housekeeping, it was less than pleasant. I was provided only one towel for my entire four-day stay. Noise was a constant issue, as I could hear disturbances from both the corridors and the adjacent room. The absence of a window made it even worse, making it the worst experience compared to other windowless rooms I've encountered. There were no complimentary water or toothbrush. On a positive note, the hotel has a strategic location, with Jalan Besar station and a bus stop right at its doorstep. Rochor station is conveniently close, and Little India is around 600m away. To conclude, the inconveniences far outweighed the positives, making it a regrettable choice for accommodation.

This spot is perfect for a few nights of exploring Singapore. It's a 5 minute walk to one metro station and half of that to another which can save a few dollars depending on where you're headed and the frequency of use. Located on the outskirts of the Little India neighborhood you'll find plenty of food options and convenience stores within a stones throw. The metro to downtown takes 15-20 minutes including the walk, chinatown is less than that at 10-15 minutes. Very well located in my opinion. The rooms are great for exploring and then a shower and sleep. They're small, but have a private shower. The AC doesn't take long to cool the room down due to the size. Clean, efficient and inexpensive. What more do you want?

I dont know why the hotel rated very poor, but from my perspective this hotel is very nice for you who want to stay in singapore for trip / concert/ holiday with your love one The room is very nice, clean enough for me, internet is fast, hot water is good, and the plus point is the guest master is very nice to us and he love the music Positif : very near to bugis, and in front of you is the bus station and jalan besar MRT Minus you need to walk up in stair if you want to go to the room but is okay if you love to walk Also there is common room that you can stay for rest and make coffee and eat in here, also you can refill the water

Very friendly service, the wifi works good, clean bed stuff, tv, shampoo, soap, AC, everythings here! BUT There were animals (beetles) in my room, the room looks very old and on the floor not clean, very small, the water in the shower is cold, and the worst part, are the noises!!! Even if the AC is turned off, there is a constant humming, additionally when a neighbor is talking, it sounds like they are next to me, and when they were showering, I really thought they are showering in my bath, itβ€˜s like there is no wall. Other people are not very respectful and are not trying to be silent. Unfortunately :(

pros: location is near mrt and bus station cons: 1. the room is very very small. not enough space to move. (especially if you stay with 2 or more people) 2. no window (humid) 3. NO LIFT! we needed to bring our 80kg luggage using stairs and they had no one to help. they didn't even offer to help. 4. very expensive for a room that small.

Bed bugs! Found bed bugs in the room, advised manager. He argued with us and said he would resell the room and it is up to the next customer to look for bed bugs. We told him he needs to fumigate, he said he will β€˜give it a clean’, ignoring our comments that cleaning isn’t enough and he needs to fumigate. Clear disregard for health practices.

I booked a room last July for my return trip to Singapore the guy made a note. Up on arrival there was no one in reception I called the number displayed no one answered. I was subjected to such an inconvenience I had to use toilet and was very tired I stood out for over 3 hours and walked away to find a different place. Pathetic service this guy has to learn from Dominic and ivy Tan previous owners as to how to run this business disappointed will never recommend to anyone.

Excellent owner! One may need to know what she or he prefer. It is certainly not the best room I Sayed over 50 USD in terms is size and noise. So if you are looking for comfortable and spacious room, this is not the place. But if you are looking for local experience, convince and most of all a great person to meet , this is the place. I really enjoy talking with the owner who is extremely kind and supportive on your trip. I learned a lot from him and appreciated his advice on what to see and where to go as the first timer in Singapore. Excellent location ( two minutes from exit A of Japan Baste MRT in Down town line( you can see the hotel from the exit A o your left ( across the road from the bus station). Very close to Budgis shopping center, little India and other place. Once again maybe not for everyone but I was happy for a night!

Great place to stay in Singapore, well connected with subway and buses. Fair price for a clean room in little India..as all other options are so overpriced. Rooms have private bathrooms and kettles, which is kindly appreciated. There's a common area downstairs with a coffee machine, dining table and a fridge. Wifi works well too. The best in Haisin has to be Hatha, the manager or owner..(who knows?!) is very helpful and kind, he is all smiles.

Room was filled with strong cooking smell of Indian patrons in the hotel throughout the day, this is not a hotel honestly, more like a motel. These Indian workers were loud and noisy at night phone chatting in the alleyway. Stayed for 5 nights, but not flexible enough to let us have slightly later checkout during our last day there. The fat receptionist man did not even allow us use the hotel toilet during our last day when we wanted to change our clothes before going to the airport. This person did not realize the torture and suffering of the smell and noise we had to go through during our 5 nights stay and yet, did not even allow us have our later checkout despite all of their shortcomings. Let them have their retribution karma sooner or later.

I was moved here because my original place was overbooked. It's a no-frills hotel in an aged building, you get what you are told you get at a very good price for Singaporians standards. The service was quite good and friendly I feel like. Would recommend to people who want to step up from hostels, ie who would like a single bed room and an own bathroom, but still want to safe money.

I stayed here for 2 nights to watch a Coldplay concert. My flight arrived at 2am, I emailed them regarding my flight details and they have no problem accommodating me. They advised that I can self check-in. When I arrived at the hotel, they put a sign for guests arriving late and left the keys with names on them on the desk. The room was good for one person, they provided towels, shampoo and body wash, the shower have a heater, they also provided a glass for water and tea cups. Jalan Besar MRT and Rochar MRT is very near. The bus stop is also just across the street. There's lots of restaurants and food center around the place and 7-eleven nearby. I haven't met any staff during my stay though, every time I go out or go in, there's no one at the reception. I also left the keys in the desk when i checked out.

The location boasts easy access to MRT and bus stations, a notable advantage. However, the room's exceptionally small size poses challenges for multiple occupants, and the absence of a window contributes to humidity problems. Moreover, the absence of an elevator requires guests to navigate stairs with heavy luggage without assistance, which is inconvenient. Adding to the drawbacks, the room's cost is deemed high for its limited space.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Their rooms are so small they dont have any lift/elevator so we have to carry about 80kg luggage just by our own. They dont have anyone to help. Location is quite good but too expensive

Meh... expensive for what it is.. found a dead cockroach under the bed, bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly and the WiFi was pretty rubbish... however it’s in a good location but I think there are probably cheaper places in the city that would be nicer than this. Staff were nice though

My experience: Looked for the cheapest hotel for me and my friends, we booked for only one night and we just want to sleep n go check out next day, we were more than the number allowed in the room and we did not mind to pay more money for that, we went to the hotel to check in at 8pm and he saw us and did not say anything so we thought that he is so kind and will let us, next day he asked me how many people in you room, i told him that we are more than 2 ( we were 5 ) and then he started to argue with me how come 5 we only allow for 2 and the way of talking was not nice honestly. by the end he told me that the website you booked from will charge you more definitely. i told him you saw us yesterday and you did not say a word, he told me ( Welcome to Singapore, this is Singapore, your country has oil and Singapore has nothing ) i was upset from the way he was talking but yeah, it happened. i think he is the owner tho..

I am giving 5 stars, the top reason being value followed by location. But I have always found it "homely", in the Indian sense of the world. This is a place where actual locals stay. I tried to find a hotel even remotely close to Changi and it was either sold out or4-5 hundred dollars, sometimes that was USD, not SD. When I pay $55 SD, that makes my day alone. It's clean and serviceable. Newly painted. The new manager is kind, charismatic and accommodating (Hospitality, is what it called in the trade.). I liked the previous manager (owner, no doubt). He would eyeball you a bit to assess if you looked like a courteous guest and was a little reserved, but I did like him. Neighborhood have lots of sprightly local street life and wonderful .Muslin Indian restaurants that are delicious and priced for locals. Some spouting the latest upbeat Indian pop. I even asked for an artists name one time I was so impressed. So easy to get here on the blue line. Don't come here expecting a holiday in, pay these prices and then review like a Holiday in. C'mon. I am a senior western lady, travelling alone and I have styed here a probably dozen times over about ten years.

I love this place is so convenience and strategic location. With affordable price, the room has bathroom, bedroom, TV, air con, and other stuffs. Besides, it close to padang restaurant that open 24 hours. No worries for supper. The staff, of course friendly. This is completely recommended for backpack with friends or solo traveler. I will be glad to come back.

NEVER book their single room ever! Pros: -Good A/C -Good WiFi -Private bathroom Cons: -No window -Intense mildew, 5x worse than any other windowless room I've stayed in -Not very cheap at all. Pay $10 for something less dungeon-like! No soundproofing, you will hear everything your neighbors do (mine was coughing and hacking all the time) I accidentally checked out at 11am and I said 12pm checkout at the counter. I said out loud "I don't care if I have an extra hour, I never want to enter that room again!"

The main highlight of this hotel is the location...it is located at walkable distance to Bugis MRT, bugis street, little India, bus terminal to Malaysia, markets and hawkers...etc...I enjoyed the stay..the room is clean and environment felt like home, warm receptionist. Price is very reasonable..

Loved our stay here. The staff were so warm and helpful. Location of this hotel is very strategic (because of the shopping mall nearby and a walking distance to the Bugis MRT, and also the Jalan Besar MRT is just opposite the hotel). High CP value, highly recommended!

  • 1/5 emanuella d. 3 months ago on Google β€’ 1 review New
The place is cool 'cause it's super close to the MRT and bus stops, which is a plus. But, gotta be real with you, the room is crazy tiny – like, not even enough space to do a little dance, especially if you're rollin' with a couple of buddies. Plus, no window, so it gets all humid and stuff. And get this, no elevator! Had to haul our 80kg luggage up the stairs solo; they didn't even offer a hand. And for what you're paying, it's pretty steep for such a cramped spot.
